whom would have thought, in mid October, say, the the Bills would need a 5 win team as a spoiler to get them into the playoffs?

Even Hochul didn't really believe the Bills would move, but she's savvy enough to take the limp threat PSE gave her to use as cover for this huge public giveaway. It was all Kabuki theater. Read your article. "This guy" was desperately hoping the Bills Billionaire would give him a call if the state didn't build a stadium (let's assume OBD doesn't know who "this guy" even is). There were no other coveting billionaires involved. He's a "sports executive" who helped land an NBA franchise 35 years ago and now seems to be spending his days waiting by his phone for a call from MLB. A welcoming luncheon....lol.

what would be the incentive for one owner to allow a handful of owner have the most success (NE, Philly, KC, for example). A SB win brings tons of extra cash to an owner through sales, etc. and of course refs can alter the outcome of a game--name a pro sport where they don't/can't? if they are influenced by outsiders, that's a problem. any claims that they are being told to alter games by "the league" have never made any sense what so ever. people need to create conspiracies to help them deal with a reality that they don't like or accept.
