Davis Webb on FA visit with NYG (update - signed)
prissythecat replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only way Darnold comes here is a via a trade as the Panthers are not going to cut a guy they have on the books for an $18.9 M salary. Bills aren't trading for a backup QB with an $18.9 M salary. -

+1. Those who think Peterson will magically develop Lawrence should think carefully about what happened in Philly after Reich left as OC. The QB room became a mess . Philly is now badly in need of a QB as they traded away a regressing Wentz and tried to go with Jalen Hurts who isn’t a starting level QB

Denver Broncos officially for sale
prissythecat replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
So Hackett likely has an opt out clause in his contract because of this sale possibillity? The same thing lots of posters here complained about and said indicated incompetence on FO of Nills. -

Football is a team sport so saying that one QB is better than others is meaningless in isolation . Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers are/were arguably better QBs than Tom Brady if you just look at pure passing stats . But Tom Brady has twice as many Super Bowl wins as the two of them combined . Why is that ? Because the Pats and Bucs had much better teams around Brady.

I am just waiting for when the chiefsplanet forum changes the name of their chiefs discussion section back to what it was. am sure they don't want to keep it as "13 seconds lounge" for much longer.

Hendrickson had double digit sacks for the regular season for Bengals and had 1.5 sacks against Chiefs yesterday . Bills didn’t have anyone who sniffed double digits this year .

The Bengals actually played defense . We didn't . Thats why the Bengals are going to SB

So how many posters said that kC would roll the Bengals by 2 or 3 touchdowns ? Lol. .

I totally agree with opening up the checkbook for the elite QB. I was trying to point out that many teams are unfortunately paying way too much for the QB position relative to the talent level and as a result cannot field a truly competitive team. I would argue that Russell Wilson has fallen into the Joe Flacco category as Seattle has overinvested in the QB position and unfortunately Wilson is not good enough to get his team back to the promised land without a legion of Boom or the threat of Marshawn Lynch running over everyone.

the current list of the top 10 paid QBs includes Russell Wilson, Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz. Paying too much for QBs is not a good thing as it leaves teams less room to build rest of team. Years back Joe Flacco was one of the highest paid QBs and his contract was an albatross for the Ravens since they became uncompetitive .

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
prissythecat replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wasn't Frank Reich the OC when the Eagles won the Superbowl? Doug Pederson didn't do so hot after Frank left and got canned pretty quickly -

Well his wheels don’t quite match up against Hill’s. How about Kelce?

Our defense always seems to come up short in the playoffs

Stat padding against lesser teams? -
It was a hard loss AND we closed the gap
prissythecat replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
+1 . Hill and Kelce killed us in playoffs last season and unfortunately it happened again . We seem to be still very bad at stopping RAC plays . -
A team that wants to go far in post season needs to be able to make a defensive stop rather than rely on chance of possession .
