I totally agree with opening up the checkbook for the elite QB. I was trying to point out that many teams are unfortunately paying way too much for the QB position relative to the talent level and as a result cannot field a truly competitive team. I would argue that Russell Wilson has fallen into the Joe Flacco category as Seattle has overinvested in the QB position and unfortunately Wilson is not good enough to get his team back to the promised land without a legion of Boom or the threat of Marshawn Lynch running over everyone.

the current list of the top 10 paid QBs includes Russell Wilson, Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz. Paying too much for QBs is not a good thing as it leaves teams less room to build rest of team. Years back Joe Flacco was one of the highest paid QBs and his contract was an albatross for the Ravens since they became uncompetitive .

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants

Wasn't Frank Reich the OC when the Eagles won the Superbowl? Doug Pederson didn't do so hot after Frank left and got canned pretty quickly -

Well his wheels don’t quite match up against Hill’s. How about Kelce?

Our defense always seems to come up short in the playoffs

Stat padding against lesser teams? -
It was a hard loss AND we closed the gap

+1 . Hill and Kelce killed us in playoffs last season and unfortunately it happened again . We seem to be still very bad at stopping RAC plays . -
A team that wants to go far in post season needs to be able to make a defensive stop rather than rely on chance of possession .

So which TBD member threw that ***** onto field? Wasn’t there someone here who used to post pictures of dildos all the time.

you are the master of duplicate threads -
The OP is not coming back to this thread to acknowledge his overreaction. It should be closed perhaps?

Predicting the Steelers to win playoff games against the top 2 seeds in the AFC is pretty bold.
-
Nope . At best I would get an opinion on organizational fit . But the decision rests with owner who pays the bills
-
Only a foolish owner would let a QB pick a coach . You can have the QB talk to a coaching candidate to get input but the hiring decision always belongs to the person writing the check . Also, Watson is basically radioactive right now until his legal situation is resolved . Not much the Texans can do with him .

Anyone think the Steelers can beat KC?

Anyone think the Steelers can beat KC?
prissythecat replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
This. If Pitt can barely beat a badly hobbled Ravens team , it doesn’t bode well for them going against a mostly full strength KC team that already smoked this season . -
Fromm likely will be available as the Giants will be doing a big roster revamp under new GM and coach . I’m sure Peterman will be available as well as the Chucky regime is replaced this off-season . Could be a great home coming for TBD hyped QBs

Braden Mann-Meat vs Haack...who is the better punter?
prissythecat replied to Sherlock Holmes's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is not much difference statistically between Haack and Mann. So what exactly do we gain? https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/punts/2021/REG/all/puntingAverageYards/DESC?aftercursor=00000019000000000085001000790008404664c415c9882c6e00000005000000045f74626c00000010706572736f6e5f7465616d5f73746174000000056573624964000000094b455233323636343000000004726f6c6500000003504c5900000008736561736f6e496400000004323032310000000a736561736f6e5479706500000003524547f07fffffe6f07fffffe687fa1c7e0f3aac20c16f85b7f4730efe0004
