Bills vow Doug Marrone will make them winnerspapazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives WHICH TEAM WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE ? over the course of a Ten Year Period: Team "A" - makes the playoffs 9 of 10 years but does NOT win Super Bowl. Team "B" - misses the playoffs 9 of 10 years but WINS the Super Bowl once.

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – It was a bold thing the president and CEO of the Buffalo Bills said on the practice field at St. John Fisher College the other day. Russ Brandon hadn't meant his words to sound audacious. But he was overtaken with this ebullience, a sensation that hasn't exploded inside him in so many years. And as he talked about the new football coach he has hired – a man named Doug Marrone – he grew more and more effusive about the man's genius until the words just blurted out. "This guy will win!' Brandon declared. Told this was a presumptuous statement, Brandon stared hard at his questioner, eyes serious and repeated himself. "He will win," he said. "I believe it." http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--bills-vow-doug-marrone-will-make-them-winners-200622445.html

Mario's contract is basically a 2 year dealpapazoid replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives carpal tunnel ? What is carpal tunnel syndrome? Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the palm of the hand, becomes pressed or squeezed at the wrist. The median nerve controls sensations to the palm side of the thumb and fingers (although not the little finger), as well as impulses to some small muscles in the hand that allow the fingers and thumb to move. The carpal tunnel - a narrow, rigid passageway of ligament and bones at the base of the hand - houses the median nerve and tendons. Sometimes, thickening from irritated tendons or other swelling narrows the tunnel and causes the median nerve to be compressed. The result may be pain, weakness, or numbness in the hand and wrist, radiating up the arm. Although painful sensations may indicate other conditions, carpal tunnel syndrome is the most common and widely known of the entrapment neuropathies in which the body's peripheral nerves are compressed or traumatized. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/carpal_tunnel/detail_carpal_tunnel.htm

Byrd Skipping mandatory mini-camppapazoid replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Byrd is NOT getting traded....not this year or next. he plays for the bills for 2013 & 2014 or sits home. after we tag him a third time in 2015, then we trade him.

What's Will Freddy's Role Be This Year?papazoid replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives ready for this.... Freddy will be BETTER than CJ.....that's right !! Why you ask ?.....because with the decline of the offensive line, Freddy will excel at Yards after Contact (YAC).....something Spiller does not.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives irrelevant ? excepting, that they have no idea who his replacement is going to be ?

Mario's contract is basically a 2 year dealpapazoid replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives actually, sully nails it, excepting the "Drama King" moniker. fortunately for Mario Williams his contract is such that he doesn't have to fear for his job and sit back and take the teams BIASED and INCOMPETENT medical advice. after botching, dismissing and ignoring his wrist injury last year, Mario will be seeking second opinions on all his injuries. I'm sure that irks the hell out of the Bills. he went ahead and had wrist surgery during the bye week without the teams knowledge and his play improved immediately. I don't blame him, he needs to protect himself. If an average player skipped town to seek outside medical advice, with or without permission, they would probably get cut. Mario is a stud, he is a difference maker, i'm happy they overpaid for him. at minimum he will play 3 seasons for us before they entertain thoughts of ending that contract.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives Levitre is EXACTLY the type of player you overpay for if need be. why waste money on Mckelvin ($4.25/yr) and Brad Smith ($2 mil/yr after renegotiate). I reject the notion that OG is not important and easily replaced. you took a position AND entire unit of strength and made it a glaring weakness. You watch Chris Johnson of Tennessee just tear it up this year and watch CJ & Freddy get met in the backfield. Letting Levitre go will rise to the level of stupidity that letting Pat Williams go did. Top Ten Reasons to have signed Levitre: #1- was best OL on team #2- durable , hasn't missed a start in 64 games. #3- versatile, can and has played guard, center and tackle.. #4- age, in his Prime #5- mobile, one of the best at getting out to block on screens (CJ's best use). #6- tough #7- smart, penalty free #8- elite pass protection #9- has gotten better every year. #10- one of the Top interior lineman in the league. considered a Pro-Bowl snub.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives speaking of McKelvin (who can't play a lick of corner), his $4.25 mil/yr salary would have been better used towards Levitre.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives #1- who's to say any of them will want to sign with buffalo ? #2- spiller thru 2015 and freddy thru 2014 are signed long term already (see below) #3- in order I value Levitre, Wood then Byrd Levitre is an absolute proven stud who is durable. was our BEST OL last year. should have signed him sooner for $7 mil/yr. would rather have him over wood and bryd. Wood is an above average center who is injury prone, but worth keeping long term at $6 mil/yr Byrd is a top ten safety worth at best $8 mil/yr. the main reason he got tagged instead of Levitre is that the safety tag value is significantly lower than OL and the Bills had to protect only one. Spiller is a game breaker. his prospects took a hit with Levitre out. he is already signed long term thru 2015: 8/6/2010: Signed a six-year, $39.3 million contract. The deal contains $20.8 million guaranteed. Another $12.5 million is available through incentives, roughly $12 million of which are available in the final year. Spiller is eligible for an annual $250,000 workout bonus throughout the contract's life. 2013: $2,623,334, 2014: $1,748,750, 2015: $2,196,663, 2016: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5566/cj-spiller Freddy 5/7/2012: Signed a three-year, $10.805 million contract thru 2014. The deal included a $3 million signing bonus. Another $2.3 million is available through incentives based on stats, Pro Bowls, and playoff berths. Jackson is eligible for an annual $100,000 workout bonus throughout the contract's life. 2013: $2.15 million (+ $300,000 roster bonus due in March + $150,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2014: $2.45 million (+ $93,750 in per-game roster bonuses), 2015: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4506/fred-jackson Chandler is a lousy blocker and has average hands. he benefited from Fitz inability to throw deep. wouldn't miss him except we have chit behind him. currently TE is weakest position on team.

Guard position battle not going so hotpapazoid replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives he signed for an average $7.8 mil/year 3/12/2013: Signed a six-year, $46.8 million contract. The deal included a $10.5 million signing bonus. 2013: $2.5 million, 2014-2017: $6.5 million, 2018: $5.8 million, 2019: Free Agent http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5310/andy-levitre i'm in the camp they should have kept Levitre. he will be sorely missed. so now we over $20 mil in cap space and nothing worth while to spend it on.

Marrone is not alone...... Mike Wallace also stood on the sideline for all of team drills during Wednesday nights practice, for reasons the team would not explain. Wallace participated in individual drills and appeared to be moving normally. Coach Joe Philbin refused to discuss Wallaces status or why he did not play in Mondays scrimmage.
