  1. His Pats jersey sales will lead the league. Analysis: Five reasons Tim Tebow will and won't succeed with Patriots http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/patriots/2013/06/10/tim-tebow-five-reasons-succeed-fail/2410007/
  2. Ooh you got to be quicker than that!
  3. The Rock can't even smell what Tebow's cooking!
  4. Fear of spiders is called aracnaphobia, fear of Tim Tebow is called Logic
  5. When you open a can of whoop-ass, Tim Tebow jumps out.

  7. don't forget belichick's connections to Urban Meyer
  8. Jairus Byrd to miss Buffalo Bills' mandatory minicamp Franchise player Jairus Byrd won't show unless he has a contract, a source informed of the negotiations tells NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. This is not a holdout. By rule, Byrd cannot practice until he signs the franchise tender or renegotiates a long-term deal. There's "nothing happening on that front at this time," Rapoport's source explained. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000210508/article/jairus-byrd-will-not-be-at-bills-mandatory-minicamp
  9. "These rankings are based purely on projected impact for the 2013 season." in this survey, stevie is hurt by the Bill's QB situation. imagine stevie's numbers if an "elite" QB was throwing to him. having said that, one of the best stats to judge WR's is "PERCENTAGE OF DROPS" (best hands): http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/100761/drop-rates-harvin-manningham-zeroed-in stevie not in Top 20 https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/01/21/signature-stats-drop-rate-wide-receivers/ 3 years of drop rates for "premium" stats members (i'm not one)
  10. most organizations crumble and give in by either paying or trading the player. they don't want the distraction. in the end the player gets his way. I can't think of one instance where a "franchise" type player got screwed. even logan mankins got over Robert kraft.
  11. for Byrd, it's about the guaranteed money (the long term goal)......$6.9 mil (1 yr tag) vs $20 mil (long term deal) eventually someone is going to guarantee him $20 million. he is not giving up anything, he is only delaying his big payday. if the bills don't pay him the $20 mil guaranteed BEFORE the season starts, then he holds out til NOV 12th in order to reduce his risk of injury or improve his chances of seeing the $20 mil next year.
  12. Nov 12th.....(10 games would have already been played)
  13. if Bills play hardball, the likely franchise tag value for Jairus in: 2013 is $6.9 mil (1st time) 2014 is $8.3 mil (120% increase, 2nd time) 2015 is $11.9 mil (144% increase, 3rd time)

  15. in order: #1- Mario Williams #2- Kyle Williams (was #1 before injury) #3- Jairus Byrd #4- C J Spiller #5- Eric Wood #6- Stevie Johnson #7- Stephon Gilmore
  16. Joshua Barber, who was making $9 an hour working part time in a deli, aspired to play professional football, and his first pick was the Buffalo Bills. With his mother leading the way, the 5-foot, 8-inch, 225-pound Barber, walked into the courtroom just moments before the session started. http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130604/CITYANDREGION/130609666/two-bills-drive-1002 was he hoping for the position of retrieving the tee after kickoffs ?
  17. the term "drinking the Kool-Aid" will now be known as "drinking the purple drank"
  18. starting with his contract......which is incentive laden......probably based on playing time. something tells me, he won't reach those. 3/30/2013: Signed a two-year, $6.1 million contract. The deal contains $1 million guaranteed. Another $6.9 million is available through incentives and escalators. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4151/kevin-kolb
  19. Byrd is in the ideal situation... prime of his life age wise, is healthy and most important his talent level got him named to the second team ALL PRO. rookies wage scale is fixed in owners favor. older veterans are not getting what they think they should (some yelling collusion)in owners favor. most contracts are "one-way". player can be cut at any time if underperforms....in owners favor. THIS IS LIKELY HIS ONE AND ONLY CHANCE TO CASH IN BIG.....the only thing that really matters is the GUARANTEED MONEY.
  20. at this point it's all about the "guaranteed" money that comes with a long term contract. which in Byrd's case is $20-25 million. absent a long term deal, sitting out half the season makes sense. Byrd's choices: #1- sign a long term deal #2- sign the 1 year franchise tag BEFORE the season starts ONLY if bills guarantee not to use tag next year. #3- sign the 1 year franchise tag AFTER season starts, at the last possible game in order to get credited with a vested year. #4- (unlikely) not sign the franchise tag.
  21. it's certainly possible, but without a long term deal, the ONLY way Byrd signs his franchise tag is IF the bills agree NOT to use the franchise tag again next year. if and when that happens, he's gone after this season.
