the most important guy is the one with final say over the draft & 53 man roster. right now that is whaley. who seems like a team player and more than willing to listen to his coach & scouts. no "czar" who simply sits back and observes will change that (which is what Polian would have done). whaley is on a very short leash anyways. he has one year to fix the QB situation or he's gone.

DB's can be split between corners and safeties. LB's can be split between inside and outside. DL's can be split between ends and tackles. there's room for lots of assistants.

"good enough" is very subjective. no matter what system is used to evaluate QB's and no matter what the rules are... Top 10 Franchise QB's are crucial to your success. Top 11- 20 QB's are average. Top 21-32 QB's aren't good enough. this is already a QB freindly league now......can't help the QB's much more than they already have.

imagine going to shea's for a play. prior to the performance they announce the understudy will play one of the lead parts. they also let it be known that the actor was not wanted by the director but loved by casting and the producer. enjoy the show.
