i guess we now know Pagano is a liar.... didn't he say he knew nothing about it ??? The equipment man told coach Chuck Pagano, who relayed the information to General Manager Ryan Grigson, who contacted NFL director of football operations Mike Kensil, who told the officials on the field at halftime (who apparently waited til the first play of the third quarter to remove a ball) http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/20/deflated-ball-investigation-began-after-colts-interception/ -

sabotage ???? We reportedly know where the accusations came from. According to reports from WCVB's Mike Lynch andNewsday's Bob Glauber, the Indianapolis Colts reported the issue following D'Qwell Jackson's interception in the second quarter. The reports say Jackson gave the ball to a member of the equipment staff who noticed the problem and informed coach Chuck Pagano. http://www.csnne.com/new-england-patriots/reports-colts-reported-deflated-ball-after-jackson-pick?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo Pagano on deflated footballs: Didn’t notice it, won’t comment on ithttp://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/19/pagano-on-deflated-footballs-didnt-notice-it-wont-comment-on-it/ -

Consequences, if any, will come in the offseason, with a full explanation from the NFL as to what happened and why punishment was (or wasn’t) imposed. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/19/nfl-taking-game-integrity-issues-very-seriously/ it's a conspiracy...lol -

for starters, there is a huge difference in questioning vs predetermining guilt. NFL rules stipulate that footballs must be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces. there is not a shred of information about what any ball weighed or was inflated to. balls are routinely switched out and or removed from the game (dry vs wet balls, ne's vs indy's balls, kickoff vs game balls). but don't let that stop haters from assumimg something illegal took place. http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/12193345/nfl-investigating-whether-new-england-patriots-deflated-footballs-indianapolis-colts There also is a second set of six footballs, used specifically for the kicking game, that are marked appropriately and remain in the possession of officials at all times. Former NFL official Jim Daopoulos, in an interview with ESPN on Monday morning, explained the process in which footballs are managed. Two hours and 15 minutes before each game, officials inspect 12 footballs from each team and put a mark on them to indicate they meet the proper requirements and are good for usage. Then those footballs are given to the ball attendant. "Officials check balls as they go into the game, and if the ball doesn't feel perfect, they can throw it out," Daopoulos said. "There is always the possibility that balls can lose air due to the conditions." -

a homer former indy newspaper man makes an accusation. league acknowledges they are checking it out (god forbid they ignore this conspiracy) haters immediately reach guilty verdict nevermind that it all started because on the first offensive play from scrimmage in the third quarter, following a kick return, referee Walt Anderson briefly stopped play to replace a football which could have been related to this issue. although retired ref Mike Carey — serving as an analyst for CBS — suggested officials were customarily swapping one used for the kickoff with another designated for game action. -

Citing league sources, Bob Kravitz of WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, said "the NFL was investigating the possibility the Patriots deflated football Sunday night." Kravitz, a former Indianapolis Star columnist, tweeted that "at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it." weighed it ??.....i assure you, they did not have a scale with the sensitivity/accuracy to measure an nfl ball with 12.5-13.5 PSI vs one underinflated. plus the ball was soaking wet, it was probably heavier than a dry one. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/deflating-feeling--report-puts-patriots-on-defensive-over-footballs--culture-since-spygate-scandal-080638511.html To concoct a plan that relies on busy attendants altering the ball during the rush of a game in the middle of a stadium with dozens of cameras would be beyond brazen. One false move and a ball could be significantly deflated and cause the refs to realize what is happening. Assuming the attendants would maintain their silence later is even riskier. -

or the fact they invest their money wisely in front 7 players and get WR's, RB, and DB's off the trash heap. refuse to over pay veteran players like logan mankins. get rid of dumb players who make mental mistakes. bench players who screw up. trade down more often than trading up. -

total hogwash. haters gonna hate. why this story has legs.....There was an awkward moment to start the third quarter involving a ball being switched just prior to the Patriots' first play, although retired ref Mike Carey — serving as an analyst for CBS — suggested officials were customarily swapping one used for the kickoff with another designated for game action. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/patriots-quarterback-tom-brady-dubs-deflate-gate-accusations--ridiculous-135815596.html -
