Why does Ashton look like he's on Jupiter?

Don't need to fall hard to get injured. A guy in our Bills group is 55. He is in great shape and rides up a 3500 foot mountain in the area.Several years ago, He was near the parking lot and had to slow because of the people on the trail. He was going very slowly and fell over. He broke his femur! Was on crutches for several months but is oK and is riding again. Don't need to be going fast to get hurt.

It's been in the high 80s-low 90s, about average or a little under for this time of year. Has been a cool summer in the SF area.

I am laughing at the panic. In the SF Bay area they closed down the Bay Bridge for Labor Day Weekend twice to reroute the traffic to accommodate the building of the new bridge. They had to demolish a part and slide in a new section into place. The detour was about 40-50 miles. People adapted and the traffic wasn't bad. My only time in LA I made it from LAX to NBC in 45 minutes taking this route on a Friday morning. It was busy but not backed up. They will be surprised how well people adapt.

Here in CA it was and still is over 12%. If you take the real unemployment, its more like 18-20%.

Haven't listened to Rush in over 6 months. Listen to local guys (Armstrong & Getty) and then Denis Miller on-line from Redding, CA.

The state didn't pass a 1 percent continuation of the sales tax, so it dropped today. This is their attempt to get that $. Mine went from 10 percent to 9 percent. Also hidden in the budget that only dems voted for are various raids on county and city funds. The cries for recall will be starting on a local level soon.

We'll take Alaska and Texas. With all that oil, the right can buy the rest of the states.

It's been in the can since last year. They had the Chinese as the invaders, but changed all the logos to the N. Koreans to not anger our current overlords.

Pelosi probably got more for her own businesses than Bachman got for her district.
