  1. It was tested just like every other flu vaccine is. The only difference is the strain. The reason there was a shortage was that it grows slower than other strains do.
  2. Both Wells and Fargo are from WNY. Wells College, a womens college on one of the Finger Lakes was started by Wells. They were instrumental in the formation of American Express. Fargo wasa mayor of Buffalo. The Berringer wine company (now owned by Foster's) in Napa, CA was founded by the Berringer Brothers. One made a fortune selling malt to the many breweries in Buffalo and the other learned winemaking at a vineyard in Napa. They joined up and bought the winery. (learned this on the tour)
  3. We'll to us UB Alumni, it's the Buff State Campus . It's the old Psychiatric Center on Forest Avenue (or Forest Avenue for short -as in he was sent to Forest Avenue).
  4. When I was younger, (I'm over twice your age), I knew all the Bills and their numbers. I can still recite a lot of them. I never have and never will do Fantasy Football. Now, I have more important things to worry about. He's on the Cowboys. The only thing I care about them when we don't play them is that they lose, except to Miami and the Pats*.
  5. Hey Dip s**t, that's what it sounded like to me. I don't follow the Cowboys. In fact, Romo is the only player I know on the team. Blame the announcer. Idiot Marino today called Fitzpatrick Fitzgerald. Edit: to later readers- It sounded like Jamarcus to me. The poster could have sent me a PM to correct it, I did later.
  6. I didn't see the play where he was hurt, but was taken off the field on a stretcher. What is good though is that he was moving his arms and giving the thumbs up to the fans. SD scored two plays after that.
  7. What's that sound I hear coming from Atlanta? It's MLK spinning in his grave. The Messiah is not even in the same universe as MLK.
  8. I might be around a little more . I and several others got banned from the conservative site I am on because we dared to show proof that the creationists there were full of s**t. The owner of the site banned us and put up an manifesto where all the kooks came out of the woodwork to kiss his ass. The cretins couldn't distinguish between the criticism of "creation science" (a real oxymoron) and criticism of their faith.
  9. Tsk, You people are slipping! 24 posts over two days and you missed the obvious. They were romance language teachers- cunning linguists!
  10. Federal pay has gone way up. I was listening to a local show this Am and I didn't catch the source, but they stated facts such as in the Federal DOT, there was one person making >100K. Now it is > 1,000. In the DOD, there were 1,000, now it is 11,000!. Do as I say, not as I do.
  11. Actually Ray Finkle didn't get the operation as Ace Ventura pointed out Mr. Winkie to them.
  12. Nice light show on the clouds. Is that the new Laser Floyd show dude????
  13. No, just the bible. There's another kook who says the reasons the dinosaurs were so big was that the earth had lower gravity due to Saturn sitting over the north pole . I am not kidding.
  14. I have read most of the stuff here, but it's been boring recently. Connor hasn't posted enough. I have been spending most of my time on the internets attacking creationists on a conservative site I frequent. I am a conservative scientist and these creationists are like the conservative version of Conner. Total whack jobs. One guy spams the board with articles equating evolution with Nazis, Communuists, and worst of all Liberals. He admitted to not taking a single science course in college, but argues with PhDs that he is right. Others believe the sun goes around the earth and that appendicitis can be prevented with prayer. Much more entertaining.
  15. Cosmo Kramer riding a bike now?
  16. My dad was busy! I was born about 10 months and 3 weeks after their wedding
  17. Sorry you didn't have the enjoyment of watching Rocketship 7 and Captain Kangaroo when you were a kid. Several years ago, I went to the toy museum at Fisher-Price in East Aurora to see the Rocketship7/Commander Tom exhibit they had.
  18. My Dad was a fireman at the air strip on Ford Island (in the middle of Pearl harbor) during 48-49. He said they didn't repair some of the bullet holes in the buildings as a reminder to them to always be prepared and aware. He said the superstructure of the Arizona was still sticking out of the water and they would see it several times a day. My parents went to Hawaii in 1986 for their 30th anniversary and my dad said that the barracks that were there in the late 40s were replaced with homes for retired admirals and other high ranking brass.
  19. September 24, 1972 The Rockpile. My friend was sick and his father called me up and asked if I wanted to go. Next year saw 5 games in OJ's 2000 yard season in the first year at Rich. Vs SF. The Bills knocked Brodie out for the game and maybe season(?). Braxton scored two TDs in the 4th quarter.
  20. Thanks DCT. I just saw his reply. Nice fat slow one over the middle of the plate.
  21. They have NO knowledge of economics. I only had a half year in Senior year of HS and I know that what he's doing is exactly what FDR did , which caused the Depression to last until WWII started revving up.
  22. Summary of his talk: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
  23. I have it in a box somewhere. That one wasn't photoshopped (not invented yet). It was cut out and pasted in. It was in the program. Marv started coaching in the 5th game that year. I spotted it because Marv's head had a very very small halo of blue sky around it.
  24. Plantar fasciitis is "flat feet".The plantar fascia is a thick fibrous band of tissue originating on the bottom surface of the calcaneus (heel bone) and extending along the sole of the foot towards the five toes. Bone spurs are calcium deposits in tendons (such as the achilles tendon).
