  1. He'll probably still be #1.
  2. Rush today said that Obama will be awarded the Economics prize for the great work he has done on the economic recovery of the US and the world and that the NFL will award the 2010 Lombardi Trophy to the KC Chiefs because of their efforts to improve their team this year (they are 0-4).
  3. Nobels are not given posthumously. In 2007 Manbearpig won over a woman who rescued hundreds of Polish Jews in WWII. She died this year. She deserved it over ANY politician. This prize has been a joke.
  4. Why didn't they give it to the Vichy French government during WWII.? They kept peace in a part of France. Go down to Atlanta, you can hear MLK spinning in his grave.
  5. Give Tiger his gold medal now.
  6. Interesting article in today's paper about Couples Retreat. The director is Peter Billingsley, who was Ralphie in A Christmas Story. He's now 38. This was his first big directing job. He was the Executive Producer for Iron Man. Vince Vaughn is a friend of his from years ago when they met at an audition. He was also a producer for a TV series, but I can't remember which one and it's not in the IMDB.
  7. He can do what he wants- he's rolling in the dough. Wrote the Lyrics to My Way- Sinatra's signature song and Johnny Carson's Tonight Show theme and many hits by him and others.

  10. My father loved that show. Dave Allen was Australian , I think.
  11. We actually did something similar with the Apollo missions, but couldn't aim it or have the instruments to analyze it. The third stage of the moon missions was fired to send them towards the moon. After extraction of the LEM, the stage continued on to smash into the moon. After Apollo 11, they analyzed the impacts with seismographs they left.
  12. Several of the kids were really messed up on drugs including the blonde in front and teh redhead in the middle row on the left.
  13. I met Carol Greider, one of the winners, at several conferences. Glad to see someone I know win a Nobel.
  14. The problem with the spinach a few years ago was that the bacteria came from runoff from the nearby hills. Wild boar roam there and they were the source. My B-I-L worked for Sysco at one time and had a route of Buffalo and NF area restaurants. He said some of the fanciest places had the filthiest kitchens.
  15. You forgot: He had no offensive line to speak of at either place. That's where the problem lies.
  16. When I wsa a kid and before they put in the sewers on the street, my dad dug up and put a new leach bed in himself. As far as I know , the remnants are still there 40+ years later. The grass does grow well there.
  17. The local paper has a picture take on the beach in Rio of a guy that looks a little like the Mesiah wearing a suit with a cardboard cutout of MO with a Rio 2016 t-shirt on!
  18. The IgNobel Prizes and the Annals of Irreproducible Results are a blast.
  19. Thanks. The jackasses at WGN put it at 3:30 AM, So I never got to see the last season. Just watched "Get the F off my lawn."
  20. Obama can still go- as a Kenyan marathoner!
  21. Chicago eliminated! How are the Messiah's cronies going to unload the land they bought with their front companies?
  22. Only times I have been in a police station were to pick up stolen goods and to get a fix-it ticket signed off. I never was in a situation whereI was in trouble because I feared what my FATEHER would do to me afterwards. That "dude" kid needed to have his ass kicked around a few times. I raised my hand to my mom when I was11 or 12. She didn't do anything, but told my dad. He never touched me, but he screamed so much at me that I thought he was going to have a stroke. I dreaded what he would do if I ever hit my mother or any other woman and that thought never has entered my mind, even 20 years after he died. My brother actually slapped my mom about 10 years later when he was about the same age. She hauled off and socked him across the jaw. Then told my dad she took care of it.
  23. http://www.etonline.com/news/2009/09/79226/index.html Dennis Hopper is in critical condition after having a massive heart attack on the streets of NY today. He's 73.
