As you can tell from this board, I am a conservative (no **** Sherlock). I have a molecular bio background and it got me riled up on the conservative board I was on because some posters would always dismiss evolution with Bible quotes and NO scientific data. What got me banned was using scientific facts in an argument. These nuts would also argue that Roman Catholics and the Pope were not Christians. The owner (its a privately owned board) also allows venomous ant-Romney and anti Mormon posts and bans people who don't treat Palin the same way that Obamabots treat the Messiah. They make Connor look like a Nobel Medicine, Physics, or Chemistry Prize winner. A bunch of us conservatives who got kicked off went to a site called Darwin Central. The motto on the top of the page there is : "Corrupting the World's Youth Since 1859."

OC in Buff, I was on a conservative board and got banned because I argued with creationists.. They continuously stated that evolution didn't answer the question of the origin of life. Evolution doesn't and never will answer the origin of life and was never designed to. It explains how organism change and adapt once they were in existence. A lot of people don't get that distinction.

Tried it when I was a teen. Please, everyone try your hardest to quit all tobacco. My father smoked cigarettes from the age of 14 to 34. Switched to pipes and cigars. smoked those until 53. Had a "silent heart attack" and a TIA at 53. Was out of work for 3 months. Quit cold turkey then. At 59 diagnosed with lung cancer -was coughing up blood. First words after the diagnosis were "Son of a B word, I should have never started smoking". Lived for about 18 more months (age 60). Don't want to see anyone else go through that.

I drove from Hartford to Silicon Valley in 1995. Had a rental truck and towed my car. Got on the road just before sunrise and drove until about 45 min before sunset. Picked a destination and made a reservation for that evening. Wyoming has a lot of exits on 80, but most are just two dirt roads going north and south to the horizon. Ended up staying in Buffalo (mom's house), middle of Illinois (locked the keys in the truck), Omaha, Laramie, Salt Lake City, and Reno.
