They'll be killing the name in WNY. Timmy's has several times more stores. Almost all the Dunkins closed. There are 3 Timmys within 1.5 miles of me. -

Saw on the 5 PM news. They said the car drove from Goat island into the river. It is now in the middle of the river about 50-75 feet from the brink. The Coast Guard lowered a man from a copter to the car and got the woman out. Didn't say if she was dead already or died on the way to the hospital. The water was lapping over the hood and against the windshield. Temps are in upper 20, water temp is 40 and chill factor is in the teens. -
The US was tracking theJapanese fleet and then lost them. Remember, it was 80 years ago. Radar was experimental and satellites were still over 25-30 years away.

From the article, looks like the woman had a heart attack and drove into the river between the pedestrian and vehiclular bridges to Goat Island. The road is not that near to the water. She was the only occupant. The cables across the river are just downstream of Grand Island, several miles from the falls themselves. They are near where the big orange warning signs are located on the American shore. -
My dad was stationed on Ford Island around 1949-50 (Korean War). It was a nice peaceful place then. Was a fireman on the base and they only had one plane come in with problems during his hitch and that plane landed OK. He told me though about the bullet holes still in some of the baracks and hangars, left there to remind them to never forget. The Arizona's superstructure was still sticking up out of the water, way before the memorial was built (1962). Oil still leaks from it to this day.

With this wind, we are in range from our own 25. -
I've driven down Milestrip to Route 5. There is no way the land drops 150 feet. UB Main Street campus is only 50-70 feet higher than downtown.

Quarter to 1 PM and the ted.wind is slowly starting to pick up. Just as predicted.

Where'd you get this info? Chestnut Ridge Park? It is in OP and to borders the Boston Hills, but the stadium is at the same elevation as the lake which is about 600 feet. Go to the sled hill at Chestnut Ridge and you can see the stadium below you. There used to be a marker for years at the intersection of Harlem and Walden (Thruway Mall/Plaza) that said 609 feet. The field at the stadium is about 50 feet below the parking lots. The press box is at ground level.

If you could manage the heat before, you are getting old. Same with the hair loss. 35-40 years ago I could take the suicidal wings no problem. Now I can barely stand the med ones. Tried the sriracha sauce once at Subway a couple years ago. Only once. Was blasting off the commode the next day.

DO NOT wear a Tyvec suit My brother at the time worked at CECOS (toxic waste dump) in Niagara Falls. We thought that wearing one would protect us from the rain/snow since they are waterproof. We looked like snowmen with them over our parkas. Problem is they keep all your sweat inside too! We were soaked after the game. For really cold weather, three layers of clothes.

I saw this quack on the web about a year ago. Someone I know who is religious was buying her crap. That person also nows and respects my background and I pointed outage BS she was spewing. I wasn't sure it was her but the posts above made ne sure it was the same quack. She was blond and looked like a teen and was an Osteopath. Also, arguing religion with Tibs is futile. He is a godless Commie. -

Went to sister's. Just me, Brother, sister and her husband , her son and granddaughter. Lost mom this fall and B-I-L mother had brother couldn't make it because none of us have backs well enough to pick up them and wheelchairs up the stairs. Also, niece is in Germany. We did have deep fried turkey and turkey breast in the oven. Congratulated nephew for not burning down the house.😀 -
