Sal C: Broncos Love Mason Rudolph
Magox replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills truly want Mayfield or Rosen and they are still available at 4, then you got to try to trade to 4 to get them. I doubt that Denver would pass on either of them if they are available, I just don't see that happening. The Bills can't take that chance. Of course, there has to be a willing partner on the other side and you can't give up the farm but if there is a semi reasonable deal to be had and the Bills have a strong conviction for either of the two and they are there, then get the deal done! -
No matter what you do, just make sure that you don't say that he has slow eyes.
-
That is what truly never made too much sense to me. Why would you trade for the #3 spot so far away from the draft when there are two other teams that could target your guy? The only way this makes any sense is if they value the top 3 guys to be very similar with near equal chances of being franchise QB's. Which that in itself doesn't make too much sense to me either if I were in the shoes of an NFL QB prospect evaluator. But who knows?

The players, the coaches and most of all the fans will love Mayfield. He's a true guys guy and would be the fiercest competitor and leader out of all the QB's being drafted this year.

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”

Beane and McD don't give two poops what fans think when it comes to their player evaluations, they made that abundantly clear. -

I don't think it is a smokescreen. It was a general statement, they have intimated as much in previous statements going back some time and they drafted Cam. I think in a perfect world they'd like to have a 6'5 traditional QB who can drop back and make accurate throws. -
Rams trying to trade for OBJ per NYDN
Magox replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could you just imagine how great of a decoy he'd be with the Rams? I bet he'd be 5th on the team in total receptions. -

I don't care, I'm not trying to intimidate him, I'm just saying he has a face I want to punch. -

I don't know man. Maybe it's just the cynicism within me but every time I see that kid I just want to punch him in his face. He seems like a self-serving douchebag. For those that know me, I'm not a pro gun nut by any stretch of the imagination, this kid just irks the !@#$ out of me. -
I guess..... But it all gets so redundant. Same arguments, same tribalistic refuges, same idiots. We just go round and round and round. Sort of reminds me back in my super heavy partying days, everyone would wait after the club for the after hour party. We all get together, drank and did whatever into the next day, doing the same thing and telling the same jokes every damn day. But here I am!
-
Because they could probably get the #12 and #22 I'm guessing for that. Which means they could get a really good LB, DT, Guard or Tackle with that. Plus this is a deep draft for RB's, they could get a good one in the 2nd or 3rd round if they choose wisely. I'd rather have the #12 and #22 than Barkley or Chubb. That's just me though. They may agree with you
-
Not quite, If Allen is selected with one of the first two picks, then there is a good chance that the Bills could end up getting their guy, if that guy happens to be either Rosen or Mayfield. The key is for the Giants to either select Rosen or trading out of their spot for the Bills to have a shot at their guy.

Article: One Team's Draft Board
Magox replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's unfathomable to me that an NFL franchise would share their true draft board to some reporter before the draft. -
If Beane likes him and one of their first tiered options are no longer available then I don't think they can pass him up at 12.
-
-
I would think that he would be one of the second tier QB preferred options. Accurate, tall, leader with a good deep ball.
-
Despite the hysterics from some of the boards ninny's, both McD and Beane's future is a certainty for the next 2 seasons, unless somehow there is a full blown mutiny from the team, which judging from the players view of McD that would be highly unlikely. They respect the man and have totally bought into the "process". Beane has stated his main job is to find the team a franchise QB, I suspect he will do everything he REASONABLY can to address that this year.

Looks like he was off to a promising start his freshman and sophomore years and thas been plagued with injuries ever since.
-
"Running back Mike Boone, a one-time highly rated prospect whose development was slowed by injury, timed 4.45s in the forty, touched 42 inches in the vertical jump, 11-feet-7-inches in the broad jump " Dude is explosive! 42 inch vertical and that broad Jump. Damn!!
