  1. If the Bills D keeps their intensity, they will mess Mariota up.
  2. Or Brown could have thrown it 5 yards further and he would have had an easy catch.
  3. Biggest issue vs the Titans is avoiding a major emotional letdown after losing this game, IMO. If their heads are in it then they can win with Barkley.
  4. He has no touch on the deep balls. You can't just gun them downfield. He needs work on that, but that's probably for the off season.
  5. I hope so but he hasn't learned yet. This isn't the first game he's forced things.
  6. ST sucked. Bottom line. Besides the block they had a shanked 21 yard punt, a missed FG and a penalty on a return late in the game that cost them 20 yards of field position.
  7. Yeah, he learned that it's a lot better to have RBs and TEs helping you on every pass play that doesn't involve the QB throwing it in 1.5 seconds.
  8. The Bills are good enough to beat the Titans with Barkley at QB, as long as they don't let down after today. But they are better with Allen. Is it confirmed that he will be out?
  9. Allen needs to learn to manage the game. He forces the ball and runs way too much. This leads to a lot of opportunities for interceptions, fumbles and injuries. He needs to learn when to throw the ball away. Look at Brady: he played like crap but they won because he took much better care of the ball.
  10. Barkley made some nice plays at the end but I would have liked to see Allen as well. Just to see how he reacted to the situation.
  11. Ryan's not wrong. I wonder if Mayfied has that "growth mindset" that McDermott talks about. I haven't seen a lot of improvement in his game from last year to this one.
  12. The most anticipated game of the season so far and you are going to blow right past it and look to Tennessee? OK.
  13. I guess they think Yeldon is a better receiver. Today was a day that they were dominating with the run and they could have really rammed down their throats but they just didn't have the backs available to do it. To me, that's a hole in their running game.
  14. I'm confused by the Bills RB strategy. I thought it was a "go with the hot hand" type approach, but Gore was averaging 6 yards per carry but he's not getting the rock. Instead they are running the QB, McKenzie, Yeldon. Can Gore just not carry the ball 25 times if needed? If that's the case then they need another option besides Yeldon so that they don't have to run Allen and the WRs so much.
  15. How good do you have to be to be a 6-1/2 point favorite on the road vs an undefeated team. Damn.
  16. They had trouble with him too. Most of the problems were at OT not G
  17. Totally Gronk-like.
  18. I said this when the rule changes were made, but some of these blocks in the video NEED to be legal to protect the QB. If an OL can't block a defensive lineman who has passed the QB and is now coming at him from his back (blindside) then something is wrong with the rule. Also, blocking a guy within 5 yards of the ball carrier seems different than doing it 15 yards away from the play like Benjamin did. My biggest issue with the Knox block is that the runner was down so the block was unnecessary, but if he was on his feet then the DB can totally make the tackle. However that has no impact on the rule, which is silly.
  19. It was a form of squib- a high, short kick.
  20. This is the answer. Beating the Patriots twice, the defending champions and best team in the NFL, would confirm a lot more about the quality of the Bills than beating some barely winning team in the wildcard round. Neither one wins you a championship, which should be the ultimate goal, but you'd have to like the teams chances better over the next several years if they can sweep NE than if they can eke out a WC win while NE wins a 3rd straight championship.
  21. Looks like Ryan Leaf was right after all.
  22. This is 100% what I thought too. I'm actually sad that they dumped him so fast.
