  1. I buy the injury excuse for offense somewhat, although I think that lack of confidence and regression by the QB are also major factors. The defense was bad before the injuries however. Forget about statistics. Anyone who watches the games can see that they stink.
  2. All the Bills D needs is some time. The guys they have will become a dominant NFL unit soon.
  3. Yay. A marginal starter is signed to an extension. Good for depth I guess.
  4. That was the worst football game I ever watched. The worst Bills loss was v Dallas in the SB- 9 turnovers.
  5. Out of curiosity, what did you see in Searcy's play that leads to you say that he looked very good? He seems to make very few plays on the ball to me.
  6. I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Dareus and Williams are solid. Edwards is passable. Beyond them there is bupkis. Carrington has been getting owned vs the run and can't seem to generate a pass rush (supposedly his forte). Troup hasn't shown much of anything and now he need "minor surgery on his spine". Heard is improving but still very raw. Not a solid rotation, I don't think. Bills need a real pass rushing RDE. And don't tell me that the pass rush will all come from one OLB. Unless that man is Lawrence Taylor, one man can not be the entire pass rush. The DL must contribute.
  7. In which dictionary?
  8. Matt Millen approves of this approach.
  9. proof reading is dead.
  10. If there is a change, it's going to be Wannstadt. Nothing else makes any sense. Wanny didn't come back to the NFL to be a LB coach. Why did Gailey bring him here here if he wasn't trusted and respected? I'm still not convinced that Edwards will be axed but if he is it will be Wannstadt.
  11. Do you really want the "entire planet" to watch another Bills-Cowboys or Bills-Miami game? Maybe it's better that the Bills aren't televised. They aren't ready for prime time.
  12. Pretty funny video. "If they really wanted to punish her they would've made her stay until the end of the game." Seriously though, these are the kinds of incidents that prevent people from taking their kids to the games.
  13. "get dragged down into the mud"??? What are you talking about? jw STARTED this thread for the noble cause of trying to get revenge. He wasn't "dragged" into it.
  14. Spiller looked decent today. He had some decent runs and good pass protection. He may develop into a good change of pace back.
  15. I like it. Especially the top 3.
  16. +1 49 years old.
  17. They will only show it once, but how many times will then mention it? I suspect 3 times, including when they are showing it.
  18. I don't know about that. College coaching positions are generally less demanding, more secure and better for the coach's ego than NFL gigs. Many coaches prefer them. Ask Steve Spurrier. I might be a good fit for him given his struggles so far at the NFL level.
  19. What's the point now? Might as well play Bell, Hairston and Pears to see what their roles will be for next year.
  20. Nice. I always wondered what happened to the Jerry Springer Show. Now I know it moved to Canada.
  21. I agree completely. I know that times are tough all around, but instead of dumping more money into a 40 year old stadium why not try to build a coalition to build a new one? and maybe tie the Bills here through some public contribution in the process?
  22. Poor stadium in a poor location, IMO. I think a new modern stadium that is comfortable, family friendly and centrally located would help significantly.
  23. I guess that would be true if all teams split ALL revenues equally, but they don't so I think that the Bills and the Packers are competing for sales to some extent. A bad team sells less merchandise, has fewer gate receipts, etc. so if the Bills are a winner they will theoretically generate more revenue than if they are a loser. They may have to spend more as well but as with any business it's a calculation of return on investment.
  24. Is the NFL a business that sells a product to consumers? If so, it can be compared with any other business on those grounds. The rules of the marketplace still apply to them. Sell a good product at a fair price and there's an excellent chance you will be successful. The fact that they can't sell tickets speaks for itself. They need to change the product, it's price or both. They're trying to reduce the price but that's not working so I suggest looking at the former. Crying about the fans obligation is not a good sales technique.
