  1. Got married on Sept 23 1977, honeymoon was to Frisco and Hollywood , Bills were playing the Broncos on Sept 25 1977.. Was able to incorporate a stop in Denver into my Honeymoon.. They lost, but a memorable time..
  2. "Back in the day", Memorial Stadium where the Colts used to play , Johnny Unitas era , was considered the loudest place , horse shoe shaped stadium and the closed in part was legendary for it.. Then, the same people , i believe one was Weeb Ewbank , former coach of the Colts, then the Jets, said Buffalo(WMS) rivaled Baltimore.. all 45, 000 of us.. lots had to do im thinking was the roof.. closeness to the field..
  3. I truly am old.. was at the last game , and went as a kid to games the first season at the Rockpile and thereafter.. The Rockpile took many "hits" in the media, but for me , always holds a special place , to say the least..
  4. If its the Bills getting the number 1 seed , i would disagree , otherwise , why not..
  5. Give Barkley back his #5 , frees up #11 to get Beasley now
  6. Trust me, i moved here for my grandchildren upon retirement , but being a rabid Sabre season ticket holder in the 70's , i end up in friggin Philly! of all places! I must have done something wrong in another life! .. as you know, life in the burbs is good though.. just have no interest in the any of the teams here..
  7. That is right next door.!.and the game isnt on here , if they flexed it it would be..
  8. Yep good old AFL memory.. watching him loft throws to Alworth.. R I P
  9. Good man.. good player.. grew up watching him play center in the 60's.. later, used to see him, talk to him in his Bar in Hamburg.. super, down to earth guy, R I P Al..
  10. I agree and also as a proud Buffalo guy who moved away after spending my first 56 years there , doesnt surprise me how the fans, the people , all came together to get the players to the airport.. its a very unique , beautiful place.. Will tune out all the negative BS about "leaving early" "wasting resources on the situation" .. Love you Buffalo!
  11. When i watch a game that in any way could impact the Bills positively, i root for the team that could make that happen..
  12. I never realized till later on that he was the Red Sox broadcaster and more famous for that.. They dont make them like that anymore!
  13. Yep.. Ken Coleman , play by play, Warren Lahr color.. good old days! Bills on at 3-30.. if on the road..,
  14. Back around 62, the Browns games were shown in Buffalo nearly every Sunday on CBS.. watched that team threw out the early-mid sixties ..
  15. He was a player who essentially established the Punter position.. watching Gary Collins , wide receiver for the Browns, Maguire , Wayne Crow, for the Bills.. all "part time"R I P.
  16. Cant imagine life without the Bills , obviously.. going with my father in 1960 to see them for the first time .. the sights, the sounds , aroma of WMS, all part of growing up in Buffalo. They are truly imbedded in our souls.. Thank you Ralph..
  17. Timing is everything..,
  18. Ok do appreciate your job.. .. I come on to see if anything is happening seriously regarding the Deal , and have learned quite a bit .. since the start of the thread ..
  19. Not sure if its about politics per se' , its about the Stadium and the realities of where the situation is regarding finalizing the deal.. If its a "fun" thread, then i stand corrected..
  20. Watching the Red Zone yesterday convinced me the Bills are the best.. and was very strange , but exhilerating after always being considered non elite for the past 25 years or so.. and before that ,(with a brief Chuck Knox era) success .. just felt we were second tier.. loving it now..
  21. My first name and the area where i currently reside.. Lots of thought went into it..
  22. Vaguely remember.. we all know what happened in 1980! Seemed like forever till we got a win over them..
  23. The one game that irritates me is when Jerry Bergman , a back judge ruled a "non fumble recovery" made by Pat Toomay that would have sealed the game in 1975.. next play Don Nottingham runs for the game winning TD..
