  1. I just don't know enough major figures in that timeframe that would have been executed that we'd know... Czolgosz was a GREAT first guess... Ummm most of the hardcore gangsters were rubbed out in hits, so finding an early gangster is difficult... Was the executed man from another country other than the USA?
  2. Sacco? Too old to be someone like Hauptmann, so Sacco... if its Vanzetti, then I apologize as I'm not good with 50/50s. ASIDE: My wife's distant Tennessee cousin was executed by electric chair in Georgia in 1929... his name was Homer Simpson... no joke.
  3. BINGO! Henry J. Heinz. He looks like the composer Strauss LMAO
  4. So, in my lifetime, we've lost SO MANY of these icons that it is inevitable to see something like this. We saw Muhammad Ali turn into a virtual mute barely able to communicate. We saw Richard Pryor deteriorate before our very eyes and a shell of who he once was. We saw Robin Williams one minute just about every year, and suddenly he took his own life because he couldn't live like Ali or Pryor. Getting old doesn't prepare you for the incalculable losses, and boy am I feeling it at almost 50. This is just another terribly sad story after so many other terribly sad stories. Sorry, but the endless stories get to me after a while. There really isn't much left from when I was a kid... and soon I'll be them. So live life to the full... squeeze every last hour out of each day. Don't worry... old age is coming for you, and there will be a younger person to come along and make a snarky comment while you're barely able to communicate with people. Best to not say anything at all than that.
  5. No, not chocolate! Same, not chocolate!
  6. Edwards-Helaire had similar stats as Singletary... so evidently the rest of the world doesn't know about your amazing skills at being a General Manager outside of TBD and your glowing recommendation to cut a value added player in Singletary. You should add it to your resume- TBD NFL General Manager.
  7. I consulted with a Mr. Pennypacker and he says your ubiquitous response in insufferable and completely invalid. Yes, he did create something edible that was new, but not Kellogg's.
  8. He did have a lot to do with imports and exports of many goods.
  9. Not an inventor in the normal sense as in Edison, but he could be considered an inventor most surely.
  10. Time, time, time, see what's become of me While I looked around for my possibilities I was so hard to please But look around, the leaves are brown And the sky is a hazy shade of winter Hear the Salvation Army band Down by the riverside, it's bound to be a better ride Than what you've got planned Carry your cup in your hand And look around you, leaves are brown now And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
  11. No, not involved in music or the arts. Good guess though!
  12. See, this is why I could do the job of many of the talking heads of sports because IF YOU IGNORE CONTEXT then yeah, spit out stats that when further analyzed are exposed. Zack Moss 112 RUSHES--481 YARDS--4.3 YPC Devin Singletary 156 RUSHES--687 YARDS--4.4 YPC So when you split carries like that, what do you expect him to do, be in the Top 20 with 156 carries??? -------------------- Here is another NFL HB on a very successsful playoff team: 181 RUSHES--803 YARDS--4.4 YPC Maybe that playoff team should cut that HB... he's the same as Devin Singletary. But what do I know?
  13. Close! No, not really.
  14. She was morning, and I was night time I one day woke up To find her lying beside my bed I softly said "Come take me" For I've been lonely in need of someone As though I'd done someone wrong somewhere But I don't know where, I don't know where Come lately You are the sun, I am the moon You are the words, I am the tune Play me
  15. This will be a fun one!!! Here we go!
  16. Was he a scientist or a codebreaker vital to the war effort?
  17. Shades of Ronnie Harmon?
  18. We can't go on together With suspicious minds And we can't build our dreams On suspicious minds Oh let our love survive I'll dry the tears from your eyes Let's don't let a good thing die When honey, you know I've never lied to you We're caught in a trap I can't walk out Because I love you too much baby
  19. Stephen Strasburg? Natural thought progression... any pitcher from San Diego would love Tony Gwynn, Sr.
  20. I have just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the Dream Weaver train Driver take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind Dream Weaver, I believe you can get me through the night
  21. At Ohio State, Dobbins was outstanding at flat passes and screens, and with his speed he was very effective. He's basically a nice upgrade over Singletary and finds the holes like Thurman did. Instead of having two different RBs we have one bell cow in Dobbins... we have to upgrade out OL anyways, so if we had drafted Dobbins we'd be looking like the Chiefs with Helaire.
  22. Us not drafting Dobbins may have been the worst decision of the Beane drafts so far... our front seven is going to need a MAJOR upgrade after this year, and Milano may be too expensive to keep. Do you see Epenesa being an impact player more than Dobbins would have been?
  23. There are many Doors songs that are played over and over again because they were big hits, but this Doors deep cut is one of their best. Once you hear it, it's a song that stays with you... and this video perfectly matches the lyrics. You can just picture Jim Morrison roaming Sunset Blvd. on a Saturday night...
  24. 'Cause it appears to be a long Appears to be a long Appears to be a long Time, such a long, long, long, yes, before the dawn It's been a long time comin' It's goin' to be a long, yeah, time gone But you know The darkest hour, yeah It's always, you know it's always You know, just before the dawn And it's your dawn, yes, it is
