Who is really looking forward to the Super Bowl
chaccof replied to Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What concerns me is that this puts Seattle half way to tieing Buffalo's four SB's in a row record - which many, myself included, don't think will ever be accomplished again.....but since I'm an NC State man I'll be routing for the Seahawk's.... -
New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
chaccof replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why the heck doesn't the NFL provide the footballs at each game rather than having each team provide their own footballs? That makes no sense to me. Just bring a dozen balls to each game and make both sides use them.....Anyway, the Patriots* never seem to amaze....why a team that good has to cheat is beyond me. -
This is too funny.... Marrone trys for Jax OC

I make a motion that those on this board no longer post anything about Moron I mean Marrone....he should be dead to this board. -
"Fail Mary" ref suffering from PTSD

Having a child that has struggled with anxiety I thought the same thing at first - buck up and get a grip - but it's a mental illness and more importantly an illness like any other - diabetes, cancer, etc. So actually I give the guy props for coming forward. -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!
chaccof replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I lived in Philly during the Buddy Ryan days and remember what a moron he was, though the did go to the playoffs.....and I've not thought much more of his son Rex....but maybe that was because he was with the Jets....I'm going to take a wait and see attitude.... -
Doug Marrone opts out of contract

How about Schwartz as HC, Pepper Johnson or Jim Haslett as DC and Frank Reich as OC? Haslett is available as of this afternoon..... -
What a great thread - all the fart jokes brought a smile to my face and allowed me to once again prove to my wife that, no matter what she says, fart jokes are funny!

Kelly the Dog - His spending money on the Saber's absolutley hasn't translated to winning - though I'm lead to believe from other posters here that the Saber's will begin winning the Cup somewhere around 2017 and not stop until 2050. So call me skeptical, but I just don't see the change in ownership translating into a Super Bowl for the Bills.....
-
I still don't get why people think that with Pegula at the owners wheel the money will flow? The owneship situation has certainly stabilized, but not sure how that translates to winning football.

Glad to see they're in Washington - that should be one that my son and I can get up to from Richmond, VA

Sitting here in my family room in Richmond, VA...friends dropped in unexpectedly, we watched the last minute together. My buddy couldn't understand why I wasn't excited since the Bills had just scored to win the game....I told him to sit tight given this was the Bills and anything could happen. then it happened and I damn near fainted.....and my friend and his wife left...and I think I told my then 5 year old that I forbad him from rooting for the Bills.....unfortunately he didn't listen.

It's meaningful for me 'cause I keep making a lunch bet with my dopey former boss (who grew up in Rhode Island) on the game's outcome.....I continue to buy the lunches, season after season....Go Bills - keep it within 10.5!

Punked by one of the worst teams in the NFL
chaccof replied to DDD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the good news, few if any Bills fans expected the team to still be in the mix by Thanksgiving and not many really expected a non-losing record. Through application of a great defense the team was in it to the second last game of the season, and the team will have its best record in nearly a decade. Today they showed they're not quite ready to be in the upper echelon of the league yet. I'm personally excited about next season. -
And Kiko Alonzo isn't even part of the D! That bodes well for next year.
-
The team is going to end up 8-8 or 7-9. Overall this has been a season of hope - let's face it, the team hasn't had a meaningful game this late in the season since maybe the last century....I actually feel pretty good about next year with this defense....all of that tells me we're stuck with Marrone. Hackett could get the boot though....but TP's not going to can Marrone

I'd call my best friend from HS who's now in Boston and say "can you F'ing believe it!" Then I'd read a little and go to bed....I know, sad little life, but I like it.... -
UB Hires Lance Leipold to be Head Football Coach

Is he any relation to Bills former kicker, John Leipold? -
Week 13 predictions: Browns at Bills
chaccof replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they shot their load last week in Detroit.....now comes the emotional let down.....Browns 27 Bills 13 -
About that large mountain of snow in the parking lot - guessing when it will be completely melted would make a good contest on the board. I'll start the guessing with May 12, 2015.

Can McDavid or Eichel throw a quick slant or skinny post? If so, bring 'em on!

Congrats Buffalo, you almost made it to mid November
chaccof replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Saber's winning a cup? First they need to get out of the basement and somehow make the playoff's....Anyway, I hope Terry's touch with the Bill's works better than his touch with the Saber's... -

I've seen many comments about how Pegula's going to turn things around. I'm very grateful that he's keeping the Bills in Buffalo, even though they suck. It's terrific that the area has something that many other cities in the US don't - an NFL franchise. But really, what exactly has Pegula's ownership of the Saber's done for them? They're about as awful a team as you can get and have been like that since he's owned them. I'm not trying to be a smart _ss here, but what in his track record suggests things will be different for the Bills? -
I figured we'd have three more - Cleveland, Jets and Oakland but now I'm not so sure....i think they'll have to score some TD's and that's seemingly impossible....
