  1. What are we making coaching reservations a year in advance like it's Nobu?
  2. All this to say, Favre is a complete idiot. Whether the Jenn Sterger harrassment (while Favre's wife was fighting cancer) or this, the dude has a mental problem and knows he can get away with a lot just by his name. The irony in the welfare scandal he stole from is that Favre made over $150 million in his career.
  3. Obviously I'm late to this thread, but as the only living member of Bills Mafia in the 90's from Mississippi, I can clif note this whole saga. The federal government sends TANF funds to each state for families living below the poverty line. (MS is the poorest state in the U.S. and 20% of Mississippian's live below the poverty line) The previous and current governors of MS, Phil Bryant and Tate Reeves, basically made those funds their own personal slush fund, spending over $1 million on personal trainers (with no results!), investing into companies, including $2 million in a nasal spray Favre was hawking that could cure concussions, plus over $5 million for a volleyball arena at the University of Southern Mississippi (his daughter was on the team at the time), and much more. So far, around $90 million has been discovered as embezzled and funneled elsewhere. Of the 600,000 Mississippian's that live below the poverty line, only 200 people received any TANF funds. In addition to all this, Favre knowingly tried to be discreet about it because he knew it was wrong and he'd take a beating in the media. Of course it got out, he tried to intimidate people like Pat McAfee and Shannon Sharpe by suing them and of course he lost. The state auditor is just as culpable, it happened on his watch and he didn't do anything about it until the FBI started investigating it, since then he's been acting like the whistleblower, but he's really just another wannabe politician. In summary: MS is also the least educated state in the US, the most unhealthy, with citizen's averaging the shortest life span than any other state, even though the state leadership claims they're pro-life. The state really hasn't changed much since the end of the Civil War and the people who were stolen from essentially are used to being taken advantage like this and have too much real-life poverty concerns to spend time being outraged about this. Mississippi is also a small pond with big fish as they say, and this type of stuff has been going on there for centuries.
  4. It's hard for me to stress about that considering we were relying on our 3rd string defense for the most part. I'm a big believer in the 80/20 philosophy.
  5. Freak-O, I'm not getting into a back and forth with you over hair metal and Jack White. For starters, there's a reason hair metal is never coming back and there's a reason Jack White built his own instruments in his music, won over 12 Grammy's, and is actually living to enjoy his retirement. 😈
  6. Better yet, why are networks still playing 80's music like Twisted Sister in and out of commercial breaks?
  7. The biggest difference is Mahomes has true offensive experts around him and Josh does not. McD has to fill that gap at some point instead of running each rising OC off.
  8. We have all these bonafide offensive consultants (Shula, Kromer, etc.) and first year OC's (Dorsey and Brady), it's wild to me that none of them can figure out if Diggs is a #1 WR or what type of offense to put around Josh.
  9. It's funny, because I didn't say it would or wouldn't. All I said was the chips are falling in a way that's already humbling Bill, especially regarding the GM piece he wants.
  10. Yet here you are in this thread. Still my point remains.
  11. The way the chips are falling the Bills now have leverage for him just as a coach and can shut down any GM leverage Belichick had before Atlanta made their decision.
  12. IMO it is, because our last two OC's, Brady and Dorsey, were first time OC's. And also IMO I highly doubt all these consultants are collaborating and optimizing the offense every week.
  13. Instead of JUST landing with Brady, why not hire a team of offensive experts? Like an offensive board of directors for Brady to report to.
  14. As long it's legalized, it will continue to grow as a problem.
  15. I've lurked for 3 decades and will continue to lurk. FYI
  16. You know who would make Josh the Bruce Lee of quarterbacks? Bill Belichick.
  17. At this point, I'll get scapegoated, but I believe we should go get Belichick. Otherwise we're going to have to keep trying to go through teams like the Chiefs and Bengals, and McD can't outsmart Andy Reid. He's not going to make up the gap of experience. Josh deserves a coach that's going to take him to another level, and we do too.
  18. At some point, our luck with backups for defensive injuries was going to run out.
  19. I believe he was just coaching with the Saints...
  20. That's super awkward. Geez!
  21. I don't listen to Eric Wood's podcast much, but I caught the most recent episode he had with Ryan Fitzpatrick, and they shared some old Doug Marrone stories, talked about how much of ***** he was. Wood said he was growing his hair out once and Marrone told him he looked like an idiot and to get it cut. Fitz also talked about his one meeting with Marrone in Buffalo right before he got cut. Said Marrone was hyping him up talking about how excited they were Fitz was already in Buffalo. Fitz said he never spoke to him again after that but did bump into him in an elevator this year. Wood shared another story about how after the loss to the Jaguars in the playoffs Marrone came up to him saying he would contact him about something they had never discussed before. Just seems to be a pattern of awkward encounters with Marrone every where.
  22. Snow shoveling has become a sensitive topic in the last few weeks among fans. I saw someone tweet it's 2024 and we're still asking fans to shovel snow, can't we do something better? Couldn't they tarp over the seats like they do the field? Geometrically and strategically, wouldn't that save shoveling snow by funneling all the snow down towards the field, and then you can just loader that snow through the tunnel and somewhere in the parking lot? On another note, this could be a good sign the team is too focused on football at this time.
  23. I don't think it's bein discussed enough how we have the opportunity to put the dagger in the Chiefs this Sunday.
  24. That's nothing new about California, especially LA. I've lived here for over 10 years and sports just isn't as important here as it is on the east coast or in the south.
  25. If it's high ankle sprain that's at least more than two weeks he'd miss right?
