  1. I bet if you asked any of them they would say they don't care and mean it. Revenge is something to savor afterward, not to think about before the game.
  2. That guy Young was okay. My god, Cam
  3. It is possible to think both that Josh still has a little more to do to be considered on Mahomes' level, and that Tedy Bruschi is a cheating dbag who lets his bias color his opinions.
  4. Great teams get the ball with the lead midway through the fourth quarter and never give it back. Jim Kelly used to do that all the time. Six minutes left? Our ball? It’s over. That 7:11 drive was masterful.
  5. Apple doesn't fall far from the ego tree where Shanahan is concerned. He prepared his players and they still got owned, is what he's really saying.
  6. And having served as a spotter for a few Westwood One broadcasts in my long-ago college days, I think COVID may be interfering with that as well. The PBP guy is used to having a guy next to him with binoculars and a roster sheet, identifying players involved in plays and reminding him of their names. At least, that’s how we did it 30 years ago. Yes that can be done remotely but it’s harder because you already have enough voices in your earpiece and the spotter can point to names and numbers on the roster silently. But a bad spotter or the lack thereof can be overcome with better preparation, and it felt to me like Gumbel and Gannon mailed a lot of this one in on this holiday weekend.
  7. It’s mind-boggling that we’ve only played a team with whom we share so much history (AFL) 25 times in the last 55 years. Doesn’t it feel like we’ve played the Chiefs and Raiders much more often?
  8. You don't throw that out the back. You try to make a play, or run it in yourself.
  9. Seriously. One view of the late hit and it was from the other side of the river.
  10. They don't even give us a good view of the "late hit"
  11. We were never going to start preparing for the Chiefs unless and until the league told us on Sunday that the Titans game was off for sure. This is a fiction. We were always preparing for the Titans until we were told this game was off. We had plenty of time to prepare.
  12. And is Singletary hurt or did I miss something? I saw way too much Yeldon in the first half.
  13. Sorry, I meant we lose our national game against the Chiefs. And end up with two regional broadcasts instead of one regional and one national.
  14. So the Patriots are moved from one of the late CBS Sunday games to a national telecast on Monday on ESPN, but our game moves from a national broadcast to a regional CBS broadcast on Tuesday?
  15. How many times has NE been given a game that very same way? Good teams get calls. We are a good team.
  16. Only 3 regulation 400-yard passing games in Bills history: 1 (T) -- 417 yards, Josh Allen vs Miami, 2020, and Drew Bledsoe vs Oakland, 2002. 3 -- 403 yards, Jim Kelly vs San Francisco, 1990.
  17. But acting like it's everybody but us (as Sal Maiorana did yesterday on Twitter) just fits some people's narratives.
  18. Wind was an issue yesterday, I believe, so deferring and picking the direction was especially smart.
  19. If they start the season late, say in week 4... and play the first three weeks’ schedule after week 17 like they say may happen (pushing back the SB).... the Rams would have to come here on January 24.
  20. Meaning we can be flexed out of them?
  21. Time to trot out my favorite Eddie Lacy tweet. "Been sittin here eatin gummy bears for the last half hour"
  22. How about when they had Gene Steratore on the broadcast and he declared “they’re letting them play and that’s a good thing?” This was right after the two illegal contact calls on Tre. Not only were they in the bag for Dallas, they were trying to gaslight the audience about it. Egregious.
