People need to stop bringing up McDuffie, we were never drafting McDuffie who plays the same position as Taron, who is already one of the 3 best NCB in the NFL. That is about as much of wasted energy as it would be if a team traded ahead of us to get a LT or a QB.

I have nothing against scoring more points, but we already had the #1 offense in the AFC this year that also was already historic setting a number of team and individual offensive records. We are also the highest scoring team in the NFL over the past 5 seasons and all that has gotten us is 2 AFCCG losses and 3 divisional round losses. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are 1 game away from the first 3 peat in NFL history with a mediocre offensive roster that has been underwhelming the past 3 years, especially this year where they didn't score 30 the whole season until yesterday. And we are not likely to face a weaker KC offense than we saw this season moving forward. So wouldn't you agree that if you need to field the greatest offense in NFL history, as you are proposing above, to get over the hump that there must be a bigger problem elsewhere? Not to mention, having a historically great offense hasn't meant much now or in the past. Top 2 offenses in history are 2013 Broncos and 2007 Pats...both loss in the SB, both had their historic offenses shut down by strong defenses and lost to teams with mediocre offenses. The #3 offense is the Mahomes led Chiefs in 2018 who didn't even reach the SB. The #4 offense is the 2024 Lions who again didn't reach the Super Bowl. In fact, only 2 of the top single season offenses in history won a SB (5th ranked 2011 Packers and the 8th ranked 1983 Redskins). I won't be upset if we make a splash play at WR, but I am not sure how that moves the needle much against KC who isn't going away anytime soon. The last 2 teams to beat KC in the postseason were Bucs whose D dismantled their offense and the Bengals who shut the KC offense down in the 2nd half of the AFCCG holding them to 3 points that half...a week after we gave up 2 TD's and FG to KC in the final like 3 minutes of the game on their way to 42 points. So for me, I think a major splash play for a real difference maker on the D would do more for this roster right now. I still want and expect us to add to the WR room, but in terms of our biggest move I just think that difference maker on defense does a lot more for us.

I agree about the WR draft class, another reason why I am comfortable making the trade for an elite player like Crosby or Garrett. At WR, we could also trade up or trade one of our seconds (and another pick if needed) for someone too. Or even try and sign someone like Higgins. In the end though, we had the top offense in the AFC, set several offensive or QB records, and scored 29 but lost to a team who we allowed to score 32 even though they hadn’t broke 30 the whole season. And we would have had over 30 and probably win that game if not for the refs screwing us on the 4th down. We need more elite players and our defense has none. Don’t get me wrong, WR is a priority (and I don’t think Cooper is the answer), just think there are more potential ways to improve the WR room than our DL. And our D sorely lacks difference makers, it’s been at least one of, if not the main, Achilles heal every post season loss.

I would, especially for Crosby whose only 27 as this team is so close to a SB winner and most key parts are all back next year. I would prefer less, but at some point we NEED a difference maker on defense. Sign Jevon Holland, and be aggressive for a WR in the draft early (we have 2 seconds still and an extra 4th and an extra 5th) to use to move around if we need to. Then draft 2 corners and some size at DL with our remaining picks.

Jeff Fisher…gross. He better be on the hot seat this year

We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025

We are going to be fine cap wise this year -
I’m hoping for a big splash move for Crosby or Garrett.

Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!

WR, CB, S, and DL are all huge priorities for us this year in no particular order. The good news is we don’t have a lot of other big needs outside of that, so I’m hoping at least one splash move at one of those spots via trade or FA. -

Doesn’t matter, he won’t be here this next year. -
This is kind of where I’m at. Except, I like McD, really wanted him and Allen to get over the hump. He’s IMO an excellent coach from many different angles. I would also say he’s better than an “average game day coach”, I mean the Bills under him set an NFL record for most consecutive games where we didn’t lose by more than 1 score. But…in some of these big games, especially against Chiefs, he always seems to be out coached. It’s like the opponent comes in with a better game plan to counter our game plan (on both sides of the ball) while we seem surprised or struggle with theirs. Yesterday it’s like the Chiefs knew they could exploit Mahomes running on us and did it in so many key instances where we looked completely unprepared for it every time. Then the Tush Pushes…KC came in with a plan to stop them and we had no answers and started running a bastard version that isn’t even a tush push anymore where Josh side steps first and no one is really pushing on him. And we kept running it right into the strength of their defense. We again had no answers. And on the Kincaid drop, how the heck were they not prepared for that corner blitz in the first place? That one blew my mind. In the end, we had our chances still and the refs f-ed us on the 4th down. But it doesn’t change the fact that Chiefs always seemed to have the right play call almost every time they needed it on offense or defense and we just didn’t too often. I think McD is 100% coming back this year after exceeding expectations. Especially after the refs stole the control of the game away from us where we could possibly have gone up 2 scores instead we went down 7 on that 4th down robbery. And then even more after Kincaid dropped our hopes on the final 4th down. But, he should absolutely be on the hot seat in a SB or bust year. And if we don’t get it done this year, they can go outside or promote Brady.

Whatever it was it was terrible. I will never understand why they changed it…and will definitely never understand why they didn’t change it back when it wasn’t working
-
I will say this…Josh for some reason forgot how to Tush Push tonight. A Tush Push is perpetual forward motion. Yet multiple times he side stepped making it no longer a tush push, but a QB draw, not even a sneak. I will forever wonder why in the hell did we keep running the his god awful version of it that was nothing like we did all year…and I mean nothing like what we did all year.

Josh Allen air show led the NFL in turnovers. This was the best offense we have had yet. Sure add more talent, WR will be a priority and no it shouldn’t be Cooper unless he’s cheap. But to try and force some air it out attack again is to take a step back. Had our defense not stunk most the game we would have won. We put up 29 and lost to a team who hadn’t scored 30 all year. In the other 18 games KC played this year 29 would have beaten them. We definitely need to address WR, but we also badly need to address the secondary at CB and S as well as the DL this offseason.

How can anyone not just love this guy 😂 This is savage! LFG

Great news and what I expected given the type of jobs that were open. Personally, I think he will be the Bengals new HC entering 2026 or possible the Bills new HC if Buffalo doesn’t at least reach the SB this year or next…but FWIW I fully expect to make the SB this year. I have a hard time seeing Buffalo open up the new stadium without some change if we still haven’t gotten over the hump and played in the big game.
-
I fully believe if we get to 30 we for sure win this game. Can't see the Chiefs offense beating us above 30.
-
I don't know why, but I just have a feeling Bishop comes up with an INT this week. Feels like Mahomes is going to try and exploit him and force some ill-advised pass down field under duress that is off target and Bishop eats.

What a beautiful post 👏❤️

Call me crazy, but I think Brady stays one season more, Bills give him a big pay raise for this season, and he looks for better opportunities than what are left this offseason as none of the openings seem particularly attractive right now.

My dad was murdered 30 years ago when I was 18...the Super Bowl this year will be on his Birthday, February 9th. He was a die hard Niners fan, but I am only a Bills fan because Chris Berman picked the Niners and Bills for 20 years straight to make the SB. And because of that, as a kid I thought they were natural rivals and my dad and I were competitive, so I gravitated to teams that rivaled the Niners. Then in 1988 my grandfather (his dad) bought a Buffalo for s**ts and giggles at an auction and stuck it in with our cattle on a piece of land where the Mall in Tracy, CA now sits. And to a young boy it was like seeing a Dinosaur, I didn't even know Buffalo's still existed having never seen one before despite growing up in the country and going to bull fights, cattle auctions, etc as a kid. So this combination of Chris Berman, my dad being a Niners fan, and my grandfather buying a Buffalo made me a Bills fan right when they got Kelly, Thurman, Smith, etc and right when I was starting to understand football more and I fell in love with the K-Gun offense and never looked back. I still have the first SB on VHS tape in my garage from when I recorded it. Also, I now have my own 2 sons and completed my family this year with my 2nd being born in October. So this is the first post season with having completed our family with our 2 boys, so they are here as my good luck charms. My first born was already put through a table when he was born in the offseason that year...and now I will be doing the same with my 3 month old son before kick off of the Bills vs Was/Phi SB. Everything feels different this year...that Ravens game is the kind of game we lose in the past. When we didn't get the TD and only went up 8, my PTSD kicked in and I was like here we go, Lamar is driving for the TD here I know it (and he did). Then when he threw the 2pt conversion, I was like yup, this is how it goes...until suddenly he dropped it. Then I looked at my wife who was so excited he dropped the pass and said...way too early to celebrate...the most Billsy way to lose would be staring at certain victory and then botch the onside recovery up only 2 and Ravens getting a quick game winning FG instead. That onside kick was the most nervous I have been all season...I was like this would be the most heartbreaking...aka so Billsy...way to lose this game. And then I saw the personnel, and I was like WTF is this, Douglas is our hands guy? Where is Shakir, Cooper, etc...I didn't see any WR's and Rasul was by himself. I felt doom creeping in before the kick, then it went right to Douglas and I cringed expecting a last second akward bounce and bobble... ...But...it never happened. He clean scooped it and the Bills offense put the game away and at it was like the weight of the past 35 years of Bills fan hood felt gone, like a dark cloud just blew away. I looked at my wife and said this is different...this is like when Bill Murray wakes up that last time in the movie Groundhogs Day and was like somethings different and different is good! About 20 min after the game I was walking through the house and the most incredibly vivid vision popped in my head that felt ultra realistic and it was the confetti coming down, the Lombardi trophy on the stage being handed McD and Josh in their SB champion hats...and I looked at my wife and said "This is it...we are winning it this year." LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't dove into FA recently, nor do I want to until after we win the Super Bowl ha. But not gonna lie...there is this part of me that is just hoping I start hearing names like Maxx or Myles tossed around as trade candidates this offseason as teams like the Raiders and Browns really need to start a full rebuild. I know its probably a pipe dream, but a boy can dream haha. But my realistic expectation is we address the position in the draft early. Before we know what we do in terms of trades or FA, I would think its safe to say that WR, DL, S, and CB are probably our 4 highest priorities this offseason. So I guess if we address edge in the draft then Mack makes some sense as a 1 year mentor/stop-gap guy, just as long as its not a multi-year deal.
-
Thats fair, but Mack will be 34 next month, meaning he is going to be on the back half of 34 during the season next year and almost 35 come playoff time next year. Its a lot to ask to expect him to still play at a high level and also not get hurt. Like I said, wouldn't be upset about it, but I would hope its to compliment some premium pick we invested with one of our first 3 picks in the first 2 rounds. I am also secretly hoping we make a splash move and pluck some stud in trade from a team with a new regime that is rebuilding.
