  1. I'm not expecting a trade for Lloyd, Wayne, or anyone else but I don't think where Spiller lined up yesterday has any specific bearing on future roster plans. They needed to win the game and they used their available personnel creatively. We could just as easily say that the lack of a deep threat against the Giants is a sign the Bills are probably interested in bringing in a field stretching WR and lining CJ up as a WR was a move made out of desperation.
  2. I haven't seen it but I'm under the assumption this may be a Pro Football Focus ranking?
  3. Because Brandon Lloyd is a much more complete receiver than Lee Evans, by a country mile, and willing to play the position the way Chan's offense requires.
  4. According to Tim Graham, Gillett no longer has the wealth to buy a majority ownership stake. At best he'd be part of a group. If his only involvement were his dollars, as a minority shareholder, then that's the only way it would be acceptable, and even then he's undesirable.
  5. Berman said "you know this is difficult for me" 3-4 times... he was clearly distraught that he was picking the Eagles. He's a pro, and he made a logical pick, like a pro. He also wasn't afraid to reveal where his heart was, which is why we all love him. Why anyone would have a hard time with it is beyond me.
  6. I think everyone in New Jersey is unhappy with Lil' Schotts. Wonder what this says about Andre Johnson's recovery?
  7. I was thinking Wes Welker based on that video!
  8. Well, I would hope to holy hell that Terry Pegula gets involved... the more (billionaires) the merrier!
  9. It has to be Golisano, right? I realize he's not a current NHL owner but he has a relationship with Kelly and has openly stated he'd be interested in keeping the Bills in Buffalo.
  10. It should be fun because Phil Simms is a huge fan of Fitz. I've heard Simms gushing about him in two seperate games he's worked this season, including Jets-Pats yesterday. He also gave detailed comments to The Buffalo News before the season in an article discussing whether or not Fitz is a longterm solution or stopgap, and the amount of info Simms had on him led me to believe he's studied film on the Amish Rifle.
  11. There are two relevant stories related to this game: 1) the Bills' "No Names" on a roll and 2) the "Dream Team's" implosion. The Eagles imploding is a story that has more to meat to it at the moment because it probably won't last all season. If the Bills can keep it up they'll be one of the biggest stories of the year and will justifiably be regarded as such. The Bills will get plenty of media attention throughout the week just as they did following Weeks 1, 2, and 3. It'll more than likely be and even greater quantity, as well.
  12. He's a bandwagon fan because he only has 200 message board posts?
  13. How many defenses are going to shut down high powered offenses like those of the Pats and Eagles? Intercepting Tom Brady and Michael Vick 4 times each is more of a trend than a coincidence. The Bills have aggressive playmakers on defense... certainly there is room for improvement, but this defense wasn't in the kind of shape that an overnight quick fix could handle. The media is just reaching for the easy answers based on highlights, there's no anti-Buffalo agenda. Typically, once the reality of the game details are made evident the correct analysis is made. This is a young talented defense that still has holes. Interestingly, the same can be said for the defenses of both New England and Philadelphia.
  14. Fwiw, David Garrard also turned down a contract offer from the Dolphins, citing the money which showed him Miami was not committed to keeping him on the roster for the duration of the season. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7075859/david-garrard-bristles-dolphins-wants-chance Also, !@#$ Trent Edwards.
  15. Maybin did the same thing he does on every pass play, namely what everyone else has already pointed out: ran wide and took himself out of the play... what was nice about the play was that he didn't quit on it and was able to take advantage of a breakdown in the pocket and Flacco scrambling trying to make something out of nothing. Speaking of "trying to make something out of nothing", wake me up when Aaron Maybin becomes a competent regular NFL player. I'm guessing I'll have to change my username to Rip Van Winkle. One single decent play in 3 years means jack squat. Joe_the_4_pack is always right. Assuming everyone else is always wrong as he consistently takes the opposition viewpoint in every single conversation.
  16. When the original odds were laid at something like 150-1 I had considered putting $500 on the Bills... we have an office in Las Vegas and they regularly place bets for us. I didn't do it because I couldn't quite justify the expense, but if they happen to win it I may have multiple head explosions--- both good and bad!
  17. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It happens often, but with the Pats it's usually a non-factor.
  18. LOL--- Exactamundo!
  19. http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150383932010659&set=a.10150234392270659.365074.72631215658&type=1&theater
  20. How accurate is the sizing? I have an authentic NHL Sabres' jersey which is sized at 48 and it fits just fine, but 2 knockoffs I have sized medium are a bit snug.
  21. I didn't watch it 100 times so I guess that means you win.
  22. I agree. Wasn't it Ted Johnson that tried to sue BB and the Pats when his career was over because they forced him to play injured and take PEDs? I'm sure a book or two will be written at some point revealing how douchey and slimey the Pats' behind the scenes ops truly are.
  23. Leaving him in late during blowouts and preseason games can certainly leave him open to a completely unnecessary injury (and it's definitely foolish and probably arrogant on Belichick's part), but asking a franchise future HoF QB to make a tackles is probably 100 times more dangerous--- considering the Pats' O can practically score at will, it's likely something that would never change the outcome of a game, but how often do we see punters make game saving tackles on long returns? Or Big Ben's tackle on Bettis' fumble near the goalline vs. Indy in the AFC Championship Game? I completely agree Marcia is a pantywaist, and I'm not specifically suggesting Belichick has ordered him to avoid tackling, but his style of play has not been an issue for the Pats' organization--- obviously. For the record, Fitz' blue collar approach matches his physical appearance (ie, the beard) which makes him the near antithesis of Brady's 'mani-pedi' slick image. I'd rather drink a beer with Fitz than taste wine with Tom--- and I'd also rather follow Fitz into battle on Sundays, not just because I'm a Bills' fan.
  24. LOL I'd never have believed in a million years that I'd actually look forward to listening to Tedy Bruschi's analysis, but honest to dog, he's usually spot on and incredibly fair. The fact that he's now pouring it (ie, praise) on the Bills has put me over the top as a Bruschi Booster. Rather than looking at the Christ-like attention Tedy received back in the day as being about Bruschi himself I choose to associate it with Tom Donahoe and Marv Levy incompetence in the Front Office--- and heaven be praised those dark days are behind us. Now that the Pats streak is done, so too are the old headaches. Bruschi's alright... until he criticizes the Bills, of course
  25. I love that Berman made a point to very deliberately pronounce the names of Eric Wood and Andy Levitre during the clip of Fred's big run right before the Chandler TD, to give them some a little national recognition. It's rare that interior linemen get any mention on SportsCenter or the like and it's another example of his affection and familiarity with the Bills. Fitz' arm was hit just as he tried to deliver the throw. I don't think there's any way he saw the interference developing but I do believe he intended to put that throw more toward the corner based on his gesture to Nelson and also where Nelson was in the endzone before he was interfered with. If Fitz wanted to put that ball there, late, then of course it was a terrible throw, but I don't believe he did.
