What are you even talking about? Allen & Newton played the same position and absorbed more hits then needed by playing the same style. It’s not that outlandish to compare the two careers.

The quarterback who appears to be most comparable to Josh is early Cam Newton. Cam's performance began to decline in his sixth year, and now we find ourselves in a similar situation with Josh. As he enters his sixth year, it appears that his performance has deteriorated in every game since the Green Bay game last year. Will Allen be able to revive his career, or will he continue to experience a decline? This is a critical question that needs to be addressed.

You pick players in the 1st round to be franchise players, not offering a 1st rounder a 2nd contract is never ideal. We drafted him at 20 years old knowing he would need time to develop instead of drafting a player that would have made a more immediate impact. Harrison Phillps also did NOTHING in Buffalo, he has the size & potential but injuries limited his production here.

Neither are on the team and Harrison didn't do much as a Bill. He missed time with injuries to both knees & had a limited recovery year. I know Minn paid him but his impact in Buffalo was minimal.
