We got nothing out of our first 3 last year. Bishops seems to be coming along this year, Carter is a bust & Keon is underwhelming. Maybe they make an impact next year.
We never beaten them at home, with an emerging QB, a head coach who previously found success in the league, and a promising free agent and draft class. This win didn't feel fluky; it felt like our five-year division run will actually be challenged.
Both are 11/12 win teams with their schedules. The game in Foxboro will have massive implications.
I broke our schedule down before the season. I wouldn't make any changes:
4-4 vs this bucket
Ravens
Pats
Chiefs
Bucs
Steelers
Bengals
Pats
Eagles
7-2 vs this bucket
Jets
Dolphins
Saints
Falcons
Panthers
Dolphins
Texans
Browns
Jets
If you want them to stay and hope they finally make it, they might, but there are no historical examples of anyone reaching their first Super Bowl after this much time with the same team. Someone has to be the first to do it.
Management gave him time because we got to a Super Bowl right away & then didn’t have a real QB for years. It’s a completely different situation. McDermott’s comparison should be Schottenheimer, not Cowher.
One of them should; neither of them will. They will be here for Josh’s entire career in Buffalo and only get fired after they go 2-15 following Allen’s departure.
