How much influence will Buddy Nix have?
High Mark replied to VOR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved McNeil back in 06 and was hoping the Bills drafted him. I never heard of his back problem, which can be a very severe problem, untill after the draft (I had just heard injuries were a concern with him). I therefore love Buddy Nix. -
If Dorsey were in this draft he would be a top 5 lock... just like last year. If the Chiefs bite on 28 or 42 why not we need help on the lines. At 11 I think we need to adress DE or OT

Not football related -- but the Jerseys from China?
High Mark replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks guys. I wonder how long it will take them to get the new rookies jerseys. I also noticed them have what I am sure are knock off polo and hilfiger shirts... may give those a try too. -
If we take Curry at 11 you better hope that we can get a quality DE at 28 and have quality LT already on the roster

Raji Brown Orakpo A.Smith The other Smith Monroe Oher Curry

Fix one thing in the draft
High Mark replied to The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like your approach, but I think with 4 picks in the first three rounds, we can adress one enough to help the other a little. I think an O tackle at 11 unless brown/orakpo/raji fall, if they dont take a tackle at 28. If we go tackle at 11, take the best pass rusher at 28. Then at 42 take Mack/Unger/Robinson and at 75 take Caldwell. That gives us three O Lineman good enough to start day 1 and a top pass rusher. Dont forget that aside from RB, O Line is the easiest position to adjust to in the NFL. I like pettigrew but at 11 or 28 I would rather have a good pass rusher than him. TE must wait -- yet again -- because we have too many other holes. -
I sure hope they dont plan on doing this. We are going to be drafting in the top 5 next year, so trading a soon-to-be top 5 pick for even a late first rounder this year would be a bad move IMO (Think Greg Hardy/T.Cody or T.Mays/E.Berry).

Great mock for our first three picks. In the 3rd I would MUCH rather see D. Robinson or C. Coffman. I am still pulling for my boy Nic Harris in the 4th. This pretty much follows my draft in my head (however Orakpo and Brown I think are gone, and we take the top OT at 11, and DE at 28, I like this scenario much better).

A basic Bills problem - lack of an identity
High Mark replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Identitiy the Bills should have: A power team that dominantes in the trenches because of their cold weather climate and blue collar atmosphere. PLan to aquire said identity: 11- Best OT (A.Smith/Oher) 28- Best DE (Brown/M.Johnson/Barwin/English) 42- Best OG/C (Mack/Unger/Robinson) 75- Best OG/C (Wood/Caldwell/Ulbrich) Trade picks for Henderson Cut/trade Kelsay (S.Johnson can play some LDE, some DT) Starting D Line: M.Johnson, Stroud, Henderson, Schobel (Reserves: Denney, S.Johnson, Williams, Ellis) Starting O Line: Oher, Robinson, Caldwell, Butler, Walker (Reserves: Chambers, Bell, Hartinger) - Dont forget that we rotate our D lineman often, and that Peters, Fowler, and Butler all missed significant time last year. The quality of the depth is almost as important as the quality of the starters. Identity aquired. The best part of this is I think the Bills have positioned themselfs for this type of draft. We have no needs at WR, RB, CB, or QB. You could make an arguement for safety but its not really that bog of a need. TE and LB need help but unless there is great value there I dont see a need to reach for one. Our biggest needs are a DE, OT, and OG/C. With 4 picks inthe top 75 I think we could fill all three of those needs. Time to target some BIG men. -
The article doesnt make it sound very bad -- thats a good thing. Seems more like percaution then anything, but then again it is "critical yet stable condition". I like Byrd a lot, he will be a good player in the NFL.

Wait til Jason Peters reads this
High Mark replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully Andrews will hold out, thus forcing the Eagles to trade him. We have en extra first and 4th round pick, I could part with both of those.... -
• Eleven arrests in high school, most for petty larceny or burglary.-he wont have any reason to steal once he gets a big NFL paycheck • A journal in the Miami Herald which spilled wild details of recruiting visits and caught attention from the NCAA. - who cares • A recruiting visit to Florida where Williams discharged fire extinguishers in a hotel and was questioned by police for “hugging a female student against her will.” -I hug girls all the time, Im not sure if they like it or not. And if you havent shot off a fire extinguiser yet you're missin out • A transfer out of Miami after failing to crack the starting lineup as a true freshman. - Again, who cares • A traffic stop and arrest for marijuana possession at Louisville that ended in his dismissal from the team - Sound familiar? Him and Marshawn can cruise around smoking all day as long as they bring it on Sundays So began Williams’ journey, from Miami to West Los Angeles C.C. to Louisville, which accepted him into the school with the understanding that there would be a zero-tolerance policy when it came to behavior. When he was arrested for marijuana possession, with three other individuals in the car, he was immediately dismissed from the team. Williams eventually pled guilty to the arrest, and coaches are quick to point out that the incident has been his only trouble in his five years in college. I dont care about dope, and it seems he has cleaned up his act. Take him in the fifth to make sure we get him for all I care. We need talent and we need it fast. This seems like the best chance of finding a starter past the 3rd round, so I am all for it

Alex Mack at pick 28?
High Mark replied to Turn Down For Watkins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Draft both of them for all I care. I will take as many good lineman as I can get. I like Caldwell too, maybe the best. He is a very smart player who played for an Arkansas team that really ran the football well. Him in the third is a great option, and Mack or Unger at 28 or 42. Either way 2 O and 2 D lineman in this draft is a minimum nessecity in my opinion. -
Chase Coffman. But at this point I will take any TE not named Royal

Getting Rhodes Was Really Stupid
High Mark replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills will either A) cut Rhodes after Lynchs suspension is up, or B) Trade Jackson after Lynchs suspension is up -
Peters "Highlights" from last year
High Mark replied to Steve In Atlanta 2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the dude is right. A lot of those sacks in those clips were not his fault. I never was agaisnt trading Peters away, as long as we could make our team better in the process. We got the short end of this trade and will not be a better team because of it. -
How do YOU grade Buffalo's off-season, thus far?
High Mark replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
D+ sounds just about right. My glasses are always rose colored however, so I would not oppose a C- either. -
His problem lies not in the things he can touch, like weights or a track or even a playbook -- which he can replicate in detail upon demand -- but in something far less organic, something in the past he can do nothing to change. His problem is on videotape. F NO
