  1. I LOVE DICK (not Jauron). I mean, I LOVE WOOD!
  2. Def not the best apss rusher in the draft. Quickest 225 pound DE yes, best pass rusher... no
  3. Maybin is unproven.... exactly why the Bills should of used more caution before drafting him. Take a sure thing in orakpo over Maybin. Year in and year out the team rated with the best draft is not the team that ends up with the best players. We got that grade because we had 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, no other reeaosn.
  4. This guy will have to be one hell of a FS to be a better value than Brown or Gilbert at 42. HOpefully he is, but as history has proven, he prob will not.
  5. Sign Keiaho tonight, dont wati till after the draft. Grab Coffman even if it costs a pick or two to trade up. Solid draft after that.
  6. He should have been taken at 42. We do not have the luxery of trading away picks like that. We also have WAY TO MANY CBs now. There goes COffman in the 3rd.
  7. IMO Maybin sucks and will bust as a DE. Orakpo was the obvious choice, again IMO. Brown I loved too, and cant believe me made it out of the first. I would have taken him at 42, but the Bills passed on him twice. Not only that, but they didnt pass on him because of need. We now have 6 CBs. Who are they going to cut? Youboty? Corner? Florence? This pick isnt just a head scatcher, we dont even have the roster space to keep all our CBs around. When we still have serious ??? on D, TE and the OL I cannot believe we would REACH for a complete non-need. As I was writing this they traded up to get a Guard, THANK GOD. I still hate the CB pick though, Brown or J.Gilbert would have helped out D as a whole 100x more, I dont even think that is debatable.
  8. I STILL want Brown at 11, so in the 2nd I would be fine, but random CB was taken, hope he doesnt get cut in Camp, because he is currently 6th on the depth cahrt.
  9. How can we pass on Orakpo AND Brown in the second? To take a CB who will be behind MCgee, McCelvin, Florence, Youboty, and Corner? That makes him what, SIXTH on the depth chart! We need one more OL, a DL, TE, and a LB. I cant belive we took Maybin, now this. 1/3 aint too bad for the first 3 picks I guess.
  10. Dick Jauron, is that you? PS If you think OTs and DEs arent "playmakers" then you need to watch more football games, less sportscenter.
  11. Dick can EASILY lose enough games even with a stellar draft. In that case, I hope we make all the RIGHT moves in the draft, it is followed by terrible caoching (suprise) and we finish in the top 5 of next years draft. Our new coach then inherits a great young roster to lead to the SB.
  12. Is that this is going to be DJ's last year. I doubt we win many games and I cant take another losing DJ season. With the trend around the NFL as it is, our coach in 2010 will not be running the cover 2. Most likely we will be switching to a 3-4, or at least a "Gregg Willaims esqe" 4-3. I would hate to see us draft some DT or LB who is scheme specific and will fall out of favor when the potential change occurs. I think of a stud 4-3 Mike like Vilma being average in the 3-4, and a guy like Glen Dorsey who everyone says now wont fit in a 3-4. If we get a guy like Brown or Orakpo both of them could play DE this year and easily switch to rush LB next year in a 3-4, T.Jackson could play DE in either set, and I dont worry about the offensive guys not fitting in a scheme. I just have a feeling we will be hearing the "We drafted player X because he really fits our scheme, and thats why we valued him so much higher than other teams" excuse in the post draft press conference. I think thats a valid worry for me, unlike a lot of the just "I hate this player dont take him" stuff. I dont want to look back and think the Bills "wasted" this draft because of a 2010 scheme switch.
  13. If we are going to add a WR, why not Boldin? Id rather trade 11 for him than draft Crabtree at 11, but the Cards would be happy with 42. Either way, draft lineman instead.
  14. Maybin is not physical. He is more like a blitzing DB than a DE, meaning he weighs 220 and just trys to run around the edge and avoids contact. When the tackle makes contact, Maybin was completely dominated in college, you can bet that will happen more in the NFL. I dont think you will see Maybin drafted till the end of round one and it will NOT be to a 4-3 team. Either that or the Bills take him at 11.
  15. I still would rather take one of the top pass rushers over Curry. Mainly because I would take a Freeney over any LB in the league for my 4-3 defense. The closer we have gotten to draft day it seems Orakpo and Brown have been projected lower and lower. While I dont think they will fall in the draft today, I still think we need one of those guys ASAP
  16. Dont worry we never draft players we bring in for visits.
  17. Phew! Buffalo picks at 11, so it deffinately wont be them.
  18. Ralph really must be cheap. What other NFL head coaches would fly coach?
  19. I watched a lot of M.Johnson games this year. I never once saw him quit on plays or be unproductive when he was in. He looked great, but thats not what the "real experts" says.... I would like him at 28 or 42
  20. This is a false report. They could be talking to various teams that they may be interested, but there has been no actual trade purposed. I know this because no team, especially the Patsies, would be dumb enough to trade up into the top 10 without knowing what players will still be availible. This trade will not get any thought untill the Jags, or any team for that matter, are on the clock.
  21. HUGE holes at LT, G, TE, DE, OLB should be reason enough not to trade up, unless like Labatts said its throing out a 6th or 7th. I also wouldnt be agaisnt trading one of next years day two picks for a pick this year. For me to to be happy with that we must get great value, for I predict we are drafting in the top 5 in 2010.
  22. I want us to BEEF UP OUR LINES. If Pettigrew can BEEF UP OUR LINES better than any other player availible, TAKE HIM. (I doubt he wil be able to do this better than another player availible however)
  23. where does it say we means buffalo?
  24. Two things I got from this video: 1. I, or anyone on this board, has as much ability to scout as this guy 2. "He’s one of nine fulltime members of the Bills’ college scouting operation. " -- Nine scouts? NINE! This is the NFL. Nine scouts is not going to get it done. If it were my team we would have 9 TEAMS of scouts, not 9. No wonder we trade up to draft guys like McCargo.
  25. They are not. A player at any time can quit and go play in one of the other pro football leagues....
