  1. I will hope that a Team drafts Ayers over Brown/Orakpo/Raji as I want one of those guys instead.
  2. Thoner7, Utility Sideline to Sideline Age: 21 6' 1" 200 lbs. 4.7 40yd 9.5" DNP broad PRO Has shown the ability to attempt to play all 22 positions with remarkable heart and desire, but has no right playing any of said positions. Lack of production however is a concern, as is the fact he has no true position. Can also punt and kick not very far or accuratly. can throw a tight spiral however. CON If drafted by Buffalo, he will be coached by Dick Jauron SUMMARY Un-like Gringo and GM, Thoner7 would welcome playing for any team in the AFC East. While he posseses an inexplicable loyalty to the Buffalo Bills organization, his participation for the other three AFC East teams would be purely "JP-Esq". That is -- play so terriblely you actually help your oppenent (Buffalo) to victory. Has shown the ability to whether countless losing seasons and never give up hope. PROJECTION Mel Kiper Jr. - "Thoner7 is a bit a tweener with no true position. With that, he should not ever be signed to an NFL roster above the position of water boy. However, inside sources at OBD have informed me that Thoner7will be the #11 pick in this years draft. I am told he will play DB. Ralph Wilson, owner of the Bills, agreed to the pick when Thoner7 admitted he would pay Ralph to allow him on the sideline for games, and pay his own way to away games. Coach Jauron was sold at DB."
  3. The Bills play the Panthers on my birthday and now I wont get to have my cake and eat it too!!!
  4. I would say that Buffalo having a team is more about football and tradition than about money. Buffalo is an origanal founding member of the AFL. Buffalo is a football town. They have the most loyal fan bases, something for other teams to envy. The NFL should have learned its lesson when they allowed the Browns to move to Baltimore. Furthermore, who cares if Buffalo ahs the lowest ticket prices and corperate sponsorships? One of the 32 franchises are going to be last in that category by default. So what, you justify moving the Bills for low ticket prices? What about the team that takes their place at the bottom? Do you move them a few years later? Buffalo has NEVER had a real problem with attendence OR making a profit for its owner. They will not be moved.
  5. lets trade our 2nd roudn pick this season and next season for Boldins services NEXT season (yes in 2010). let him play for the CArds one more season until TO is gone. This will give the Cards more incentive to trade with us. Is it legal?
  6. I dont think you will see Macklin going near the top 10. He is a Flyer, like a Ted Ginn. I dont think you will see a team draft a Ted Ginn in the top 10 again, even if he is more polished. I doubt you see two QBs go as well. Det needs one, and you could argue that the Rams, 9ers, Seahawks, and in a long stretch Jax need one, but considered their other options. Rams, they need an LT a lot more than a QB. Same goes for the Seahawks and 9ers. The Seahawks also need D help and a WR. Jax is a team built on D and has a capable QB in Garrard. Do you see Singletary makeing the sexy pick of a flashy QB? No way, he will take a big fella or D stud. Brown or Orakpo are my guess for the 9ers. Detroits new coach is the former DC of Tenn and before that their D line coach. I bet the Lions target the line as well. Barring a trade up I doubt 2 QBs go that early.
  7. I will add the fact that TO has little interest in the NFL, as evidenced by the poor attendence at the game this past season. I will further add that what little NFL fans there are up north, they are already fans of other teams -- like the Colts, Pats, Phins, Giants etc -- also evidenced by the game this past season. With a home town team they may change associations, but most would not. I can say personally I would never leave the Bills if Rochester was granted a NFL franchise (funny thought yes?)
  8. Curry is good, But if we trade a 2nd up to grab him, you could essentially be trading E.Brown and Robinson/Unger/J.Cook for Curry. With the draft as big a guessing game as it is, I would never trade. Also, LBs are not as valuable as pass rushing DEs.
  9. Perfect scenario. The NFL cannot afford to let rookie contracts set the price for vets, it should be the other way around and without the league intervening they are the only ones with the power to do so. Peters would then be valued as a top LT in terms of money.
  10. Correct San JOse, Freeney did run a sub 4.38 forty, but it was hand timed and on the Cuse turf (the old, hard astro turf -- much faster to play on). His official combine time in Indy was 4.48. (In comparison, P. Willis, who ran a 4.37 at his pro day ran a 4.51 at the combine, so you can see how those numbers differ) E. Browns times, which were run on Indys newly replaced turf -- which most have agreed to be a slightly slower track than the old turf -- was a 4.73. Not quiet as fast but still fast. Brown, like Freeney also plays fast, maybe even faster than their times. I hope a player like Brown is availible at 11. Also I just noticed that Freeney was taken with the #11 pick...
  11. I already ordered my Bills William Moore Jersey by using the personalized Jersey. I guessed he would wear #21.
  12. Maleuga is not very good in pass coverage. I would hate to have yet another LB not being able to cover. I have seen nothing from Maybin that warrents the hype. Ok I'll admit he is quick, but most SS are much quicker than Tackles (Maybin played at a weight closer to that of an NFL SS than DE). He plays with no leverage or strength and was only effective when he was able to run completely around the Tackle as if the tackle were a pylon -- that wont happen against any starting caliber LT in the NFL. When he put on enough weight to even be considered as a D-Lineman, he moved like he was 300+ lbs. Personally, Ill take the 337lb D-Lineman who moves like a 237 D-Lineman, not the other way around. 13. You guys are good, and fast. It was Freeney. Here is the link: http://archive.profootballweekly.com/conte...eney_112801.asp I guess the "hint" gave it away. But Magox got the message.... What is being said about Brown is the same things that were being said about Freeney. Watching the two play, they look like twins. Obviously every players transition is different, but I feel Freeney and Brown are very similiar players, who will share similiar success. Hell, if Brown is half as productive as Freeney, he will be worth th 11th pick.
  14. I found an article recently I found very interesting. Here are some quotes. But I want to ask the question... what player are they talking about? Scouts believe he will play outside linebacker or become a rush specialist in the NFL. His size and lack of experience at the LB position have some talent evaluators questioning how effective he will be at the next level. "????? is pretty damn good," according to one NFL scout. "He’s explosive, very, very explosive. He can run like the wind. His shortcoming is that he’s not real tall. He’s like 6-foot, 6-1 — not a real big guy, but he’s very fast, a very explosive player. Another scout said: "I think he will be a third-down rush guy — a defensive pass rush specialist. I think he has great quickness and speed. He’s explosive off the snap and that is what makes him a threat on every play. "If you look at me number-wise, height-wise, weight-wise, I guess you can say (I’m undersized to play defensive end)," "I don’t have a problem with that, but if somebody just gives me an opportunity to get out there and prove myself, that’s about it. They may say I can’t play end, but I see no reason why I can’t." Take your best guess, Ill post the answer and the link to the article later today. Hint: Its a trick question.
  15. I dont think a move like that would hurt his value. Other teams would still view his as a very good and athletic LT, so when he hits the open market thats the money he will demand. Lets make this clear -- The longer the Bills wait the more he will have to be paid. If the Bills paid him before last years draft, he would have been happy with less than what Jake Long got because Jake Long wasn't paid a dime yet. This year, when one of the top two picks is a LT, and probably gets more than Long, Peters will want more than that guy so that he is still the top paid LT. If we wait again till next offseason, his rate just went up again. Trade him or sign him BEFORE this draft.
  16. Winnable games: Miami x2 Jets x2 Cle Hou KC Colts (last game of season, resting starters) Chances we sweep Miami and/or Jets = 0 7-9 would be very respectable
  17. That is good to hear. I assume the "normal viewing area" includes Rochester. It better.
  18. Amen to that... So Henry funds a coke deal and gets a min. of ten years, while J. Lewis funds a coke deal and got what.. 3 months? The jail time btw was posponed until after the football season was over. What gives?
  19. So the Bills best and deepest position in '08 will potentially be a huge hole to fill in the begining of '09. Great.
  20. The Bills need to sign Peters to a deal that allows them to jump ship and run if Peters plays like a load of crap after signing. Im not saying huge incentive layden deal, but one with very little signing bonus. From my understanding of it, when a team cuts a player, the players cap hit that season is the bonus money -- which was otherwise spread out over the years of his contract -- all added up for that year. I dont think it involves the guarenteed money of a contract. If he plays like donkey balls straight up cut him.
  21. Facebook has features that allow you to completely block others from viewing your profile. The options allow you to block parts of your profiles, pictures, etc. You can even block the ability of people to search for you, or even see that you exist if you are not friends with them. So if any team wants to see your stuff, they have to be you friend. Note to NFL draft eligable players- that really hot girl you never met that wants to be your facebook friend does not exist. It is an alias for SKOOBY!
  22. If we trade Roscoe, our first round CB better be a good return man too.
  23. Yes I have. Now name me the Giants DBs that shut down said Patriots in the superbowl.... Point is they didnt, it was their pass rush. Tuck, Usi, Strahan, Kiwi. Blitzing LBs Mitchell, Pierce, Kiwi (he plays/played both). CBs can only do so much, and a sacked QB cant do anything.
  24. If you wiki him you see he has a lot of playing experience" 02 (rookie year-Phins): played in all 16 games 03: played in all 16 games 04:started in all 16 games 05:started in the opening 13 games but leg injury forced him out of the final three games, line as a whole only allowed 26 sacks that season. 06: missed season recovering from neck surgery 07 (Browns): Started first 8 games before being placed on IR 08: Played in all 16 games, starting three Ithink this guy will be a starter for us. Maybe he will be beaten out by a rookie, maybe not. May be depth if our line was better, but its not. I think he will start for us, who else will?
  25. Its been a hole since 2007.
