  1. I agree with Mayocks analysis a lot. He has also seems to hit a lot on guys others dont like. ala Flowers and Ryan from last year, and Jon Beason from two years ago.
  2. The Bills need to do somethign create some hype for this coming season. New coaching staff... Nah...Bigtime Free agents...too expensive....how about new Unis... Ok Ok Ok... we will wear jerseys we already have, the throwbacks, but all season!
  3. That is the reality of it, the Bills will still get a top 10 talent, but said player will be a WR and not DE/DT. Bad news Bills
  4. I did not hear about Coffmans injury, good info though, thanks. I still think that he should be on the radar as far as fixing our TE problem. I wouldnt pass on a more talented player because of an injury for an obviously less talented player.
  5. I will also be skeptic of big fat dudes. It shows you are lazy ala Mike Williams. Some guys carry a little more weight on them, I am not talkin about them, but the FAT ones. Seriously, that kid was a potential #1 pick... thats not enough incentive to work out a couple times a week? Jake long last year was a cut 300+lbs... thats dedication.
  6. I never really understood why teams put off resigning guys. Everyone knows that the contracts get bigger and bigger every year...just sign them now for a million less per year. Seems like poor financial planning to me.
  7. What happened to all the talk about Chase Coffman? I still think he is a top TE. But there seems to be a lot of options here for the Bills to jump on. Pettigrew, Coffman, Cook, Casey, Nelson.. Even Bear Pascoe, and dont forget about Travis Beckman who was injured most of the year. There are plenty of options out there, whether we need more of a blocker or pass catcher they are there. I think that with all the TE's and Centers (Mack, Unger, Luigs, Caldwell, Wood, and Shipley) this year that the Bills would be dumb to not draft the top TE in rd 2 and top C in rd 3 or vica versa. I really think the value will be there and the need is there without question. I would hate to hear the reasoning for passing on one of those guys to take another DB or some other player who is less talented and not as big a need... I guess this assumes we fix our pass rush in round 1 then. Thats fine with me.
  8. Who cares? That height makes him 2-3 inches taller than our tallest DB. Jerry Rice wasnt 7 foot tall, and he ran a 4.7 forty. I watched college football, and Crabtree is the best no matter what the little numbers on a stopwatch want to say.
  9. That whole speed and height stuff really hurt Rice's career.
  10. Cap Room... Yes Need... Yes With that in mind... who was Haynesworths backup the past 2 years? Because he is who we are going to sign. The thing is we will pay him roughly the same amount as money as Albert gets from his new team.
  11. 4-5 year deal would be ideal, his contract would expire in line with his play most likely. I am not sure of other LB deals recently, but Briggs got 6yrs- $36 Mil. I dont think Wilma is worth that, and I think a guy like Bart Scott will draw more attention than Vilma. Mitchell got 5 yrs, 17 Mill I think. I could see Vilma pulling 5yrs- 22 Mil
  12. Guys, the dude threw for over 4000 yards in 06 and 07...AND HE WAS ON THE LIONS. I hate stats, they are meaningless. But this guy can still ball, and the numbers proof it in this case. He was placed on the IR this year, and the Lions would have won a few games if he wasnt. Now lets not hand him the keys, but in 2-3 games a year he could let it fly. Great addition.
  13. While I agree with most of it, I actually like WIlliams as a non-started DT. The problem is that he has been starting for 3 years. He would be great off the bench. The real problem is a guy like Kelsay. I wouldn't even want him as a non-starter. He hasn't been good since...ever? But he has a huge mega million dollare deal that almost prevents us from signing another DE, and we cant even cut him because of the cap hit. Talk about a situation that kills the team.
  14. Detective Ryan Thompson tells 2-On-Your-Side's Adam Benigni that he presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney Thursday morning, and that Lynch will be charged with three misdemeanors. A spokesperson for the DA could not outline the charges, saying the paperwork had yet to be filed and they were not ready release any information. Lynch's attorney M. Gerald Schwartzbach says he believes it to be three misdemeanors all on gun possession What this typically means is that two charges will be dropped and only one will be pursued, it has just not been decided yet as to which charge he will face. You cannot "officailly" be charged with the same crime three times, the circumstances of the case will help the DA to decide which charge to attack. The three charges are most likely three levels of severity of punishment. This is similiar to drunk driving law in NY.... You can get DUI, DWI, or DWAI - all drunk driving tickets, but with diff penalties.
  15. What happeneds when the Bills are 0-4 with Jackson as the starting rb.. Will the FO blame it on Lynch's absence or realise it has nothing to do with who is on the field, because as long as DJ is coachin the team there is no chance of a Bills victory?... regardless of who is on the field.
  16. Does that make me a fool for agreeing with him? He is right, Lynch has every right to own that gun, the same way I have every right to own my gun, and you own a gun if you so choose. The Framers of the Constitution, in writing the Second Amendment, specifically mention the right not only to own, but CARRY a weapon. The Right to Bear Arms. By definition, Bear- To carry from one place to another; transport. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/bear Current US law has strayed from the true meaning of the law as it was written, and if you want to get pissed at the guy for not having the proper paperwork, then fine. Now before we get too political, I would like my guaranteed Constitutional rights upheld please.
  17. I bet that dope was not Lynch's, I will almost bet the house on it. Why would a Multi-millionaire be rolling a blunt with Swisher Sweets? Second, isn't there something to the cops claiming they found weed and not charging anyone??? I mean... can't the police officers themselves get in trouble for that? That seems fishy. Not knowing whos it is is a bad excuse, if the guys are baking the car out bad enough for cops down the street to smell it when the windows are up... I am pretty sure its everyones weed.
  18. sign Jeff Garcia, Culpepper is a better version of Jp, and he still sucks bad
  19. Ok, so lets say we sign Haynesworth and Saturday, trade for Merriman, re-sgn Peters, add the much needed TE, then have a steller draff. Add the signing of Suggs in there for good measure... Well at least our roster will look like gold. Too bad we will finish below .500 because DJ will still be coaching this team. I get really excited by FA once in a while, but then I realize its about coaching first second and third, then your roster is forth. Look at the Cowboys, they get all the big name talents, and cant make the playoffs. The Pats win superbowls with a bunch of jv DBs and mediocre players everywhere. Heck, the only one they lost was the one when they had all the big name acquisitions. Dont get me wrong, I would love signing these guys, it would be a way to lure a big time coach after next season, but we have no hope with DJ looking like a 3 year old girl who lost her lolly-pop on our sideline.
  20. I wonder if there are any other fans out there that simply dont care that lynch got arrested, aside from a possible suspension. This is the NFL, not the peace corp. I have come to accept that 90% of these players are street thugs, thats the nature of the beast. Yea you will find a few Lee Evans who are great guys and ball players, but to expect an NFL franchise to only employ high character players and fill a 53 man roster in this era is too much to ask. Ill take a couple felony arrests with my super bowl please.
  21. Maybe a guy was able to remember all of Marshawns info, being a celeb and all, and use it as an alias? He could potential look like marshawn, or been wearing this mask http://cache.boston.com/images/bostondirtd...hewbacca.lg.jpg , and not providide ID because his picture is all over the internet.
  22. Maybe he has a carry permit, and had the gun legally
  23. Fitzgerald had a slow forty time too. He was the third pick I believe. I dont see him getting past the Seahawks. If I were the Lions, he would be the number one pick.
  24. The NFL only alows use of the helmet ear piece while teams are in the huddle. Once the huddle breaks, the communication must be terminated -- as to prevent the coach from doing any pre snap reads for the QB. The Bills dont use hand signals, as evidenced this year by the game with no power, and plays were ran into the huddle by players. Every QB calls their own plays during a hurry up O, I assumed that to be understood.... I guess Lynch or Peters could be calling the plays though... To say that Trent is not HURT by the Bills coaching staff is a straight up lie in my opinion. In the last three years, who has really developed? Peters? He got worse. Whitner? No, his best year was his rookie year. John McCargo? Lynch is no better at reading plays now than when he came in. Kyle Williams and Brad Butler are maybe the only ones, and those are rookies who improved, which is expected of all new players. There has been no player developement anywhere, why would you expect it at the QB position? There was a reason Brady and Cassel got drafted so late, and its because out of college they werent any good. The patriots developed them, now they both perform.
  25. I hear a lot of rumbling about how the Bills offense is not producing... news flash... and most of that blame lands in Edwards lap. No one can deny that he played poorly down the line, but no one could deny that there were some games we never would have won if he wasn’t in the lineup. I for one, think that the coaches are what’s hurting our offense/players. Whenever the Bills were running the 2 minute O, they were very successful. The multiple drives at the end of the half or game were near perfection. The times they were not successful, was when the coaches stepped in to mess it up (Freddie Jackson run play/Preston fight). I point this out because the 2 minute is when Trent is allowed to call his own plays, plays he is comfortable with. The result is pretty much undeniable. He said before the KC game that he was very comfortable with that game plan, we he played very well, albeit against a poor D. The Bills coaching staff are pretty much un cappable of putting together a successful game plan. Un successful coaches, like DJ, are unsuccessful because they cannot get their players to play well enough to win...obviously. So how can we even judge Edwards plays under such a poor coaching staff? Everyone and their mother knew Losman was terrible, so dont give me that. Everyone here knows that Edwards has "IT". I think that the Bills need to give Edwards a chance until limp Dick is gone.
