  1. Here is a question. Plax was awarded his big contract/signing bonus from the G men las year. If the Bills trade for him, I believe the Giants would still take the hit from the signing bonus, does that mean that the Bills just pay his salary? At least Ralph wouldn't have to fork over any more upfront. If so they could aquire a very good wr at a somewhat discounted rate because of the situation. Boldin on the otherhand we would need to sign to a new huge deal with a signing bonus. I liek Boldin more, but avoiding the signing bonus payout and potentailly the cap hit as well makes the Plac situation enticing in my mind.
  2. You are right, the '07 Cards went on a tear once Warner stepped in at the end of the year (he threw 27TD's in 11 games), the '06 Giants were a good team with a growing QB who finally figured it out... or was it the running game and coaching staff? The Dolphins were a completely different team with a new FO, coaching staff, and a hugely overturned roster. The Bills showed no promise finishing strong like the cards of '07. The Bills dont have a roster like the Giants of '06. And unlike this years Dolphins, we are stuck with the same limp dick (jauron) coach, the same lousey FO who hasnt built a playoff team in their entire careers, and about one third of a roster filled with players who would have been cut by playoff teams years ago. Trust me, I follow football very well.
  3. Or maybe we would agree with everything he says 100%.... The Bills, and apparentely the Saints, need a big, BIG, change in culture.
  4. He is perfect for one of Dicks favorite plays, the tight end screen.
  5. Northern Hemisphere Bills ...might as well target the largest area we can...
  6. wasn't it steve johnson driving lynchs car?
  7. Scenario 1 is likely, but 2 is not. I dont expect Jauron, in what will be his last year coaching unless he turns the team around,to take a QB in the draft. Just dont see it.
  8. Amen, well said. I take Wilfork and Harrison in a tie. I reamember reading two things about these two, Wilfork complaining about getting fined for his blatent cheap shot at Losman, only to later admit it was a cheap shot. And Harrison was voted the Dirtiest player in the league by 11 out of 18 head coaches (all 32 were asked, only 18 responded) in an article from SI.
  9. I dont see Tebow getting much of a shot at playign QB. I think he is a more accurate passer than Young was in college. I think he could also read defenses because he seems like a smart guy. But if you really think about it, how many good to great pocket passers are there in the NFL right now? Brady, Manning, Rothleisberger, Warner, Rivers, Farve, Brees, Romo, Eli Manning, Pennington, Cutler... I named 11 guys, about one third of the league, and you could argue that some of them arent soo good, or more scramblers that actually passers (Romo, Rothlesburger). I also doubt that Eli, Rothlesberger, Pennington, and maybe some others would be nearly as good without the talent around them. I feel that NFL defenses have gotten so good, that their just aren't enough good QBs to go around. The Bills have been looking for what, 10-11 years to find a capable QB? I predict that teams will begin to develope offenses that are less reliant on QBs being pure passers, out of pure nessecity. Maybe thw wildcat is the beginning of that transition. In that case, Tebow and Young could be very very succesful.
  10. Quite possibly the funniest thing I have read all year. Fitzgerald>>>Evans, Boldin>>>>>>>>The rest of our WRs combined. Levi Brown>Walker, Docket>> Our D Line, Dansby>Poz, A. Wilson>>>Whitner, Whoever their Center and TEs are>>>>Our C and TEs. Cromartie>McKelvin...its really too early to call, but he played in the SB, and not because the guy infront of him on the depth chart was injured. Mike Gandy sucks, but he is a former Bill....
  11. Ok Ok I get it, you need a good coach and good players. But what I dont get is why the Bills cant seem to get either?
  12. Vince Young is not a pocket passer, he never was, and will never be. He is not a pocket passer in the same sense that Robert Royal is not a pass catcher and Chris Kelsay is not a pass rusher. What do you get when you ask Royal to catch passes and Kelsay to rush the QB? You get really bad results. When Vince Young is asked to sit in the pocket and read defenses, what do you get? Vince young is best in the spread, or some version similiar. The problem is not Vince Young, its the coaches that try to fit a square peg in a round hole. The Titans could have drafted the round peg to fit said hole with Lienart, but they didnt. The Oilers used Warren Moon in the "Run n Shoot" offense, which Young would excell in, but nowadays the NFL is so dead set on running one type of O they refuse to develope schemes to what talent they have. Apparently the only Offense allowed in the NFL is the "NFL OFfense" and only good pocket passers can play QB, even if there are not enough pocket passers to go around. PS: Young is depressed because he is playing poorly, who wouldnt be? I mean he has probably realised that there is no place in the NFL for him, even though he is a great football player.
  13. F*CK that. There is nothing I hate more than the "New England" Patriots. It just rubs me the wrong way. Why dont we call ourselfs the Northern Hemisphere Bills, or Western Hemishere Bills, or Earth Bills.... No thanks, its BUFFALO BILLS (I am not from Buffalo either).
  14. no it was a big screen high def plasma. My eye sight is 20/13 for what its worth too.
  15. What about Harrisons so called "TD" His upfield elbow (left) was just barely across the goaline when it hit the ground, while his right arm held the football. There is no way it crossed the goaline. I thought that was pretty obvious. The 20 or so non-biased football fans I was watching the game with agreed (only one thought he was in). Not to mention the Steelers first drive of the 3rd quater was kept alive three times because of BS calls. Steelers You are welcome Sincerely, The Refs
  16. Honestly, I see Evertte Brown becoming the next Dwight Freeny. Peppers would be around for what, 3 or 4 years. Id rather get Brown for 10-12.
  17. The dude that runs that site is a tard, dont take anything he says seriously. Just read his other stuff to get an idea.
  18. Dont know if you get them confused sometimes, but Lynch is much much much much much more elusive than Jackson. A deffinition: elusive Adjective 1. difficult to find or catch Jackson does not make people miss in the open field like Lynch. He simpley doesn't. Jackson is better at slicing through holes at the line of scrimmage, if that is what you are thinking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adxy0HAkyHI
  19. Ayers would be a great upgrade over Kelsay, and make a good LDE I think. I also see no reason why the Bills wouldnt consider adding two Dlineman in the first two rounds if we get a Raji/Brown Rd 1, and other needs like center and TE are not worth the selection in the second.
  20. Ok Marshwan is great, and in all honesty a better running back than the origanal three that made it. But makeing the prob bowl as a second string alternate does not count. Schobel, has never made the pro bowl, he played in it once cause some guys in front of him got hurt/didnt want to go.
  21. I have a solution to this problem. Place Schobel, Kelsay, Dockery, and Walker all on the trade block (maybe not Walker, he is ok-- not sure how big his salary is). Take any/all trade offers for draft picks you may get for them, no matter how late the draft pick may be. If you cant trade them, cut them before they hit their roster bonuses in May or March or whatever. If I am correct, all cuts/trades only hurt your cap figure for one year, in this case the '09 season. We have the cap room to eat all the cap penalties, and lets be honest, we arent going to win any games next year with DJ coaching, so just throw in the towel. That would position us to make a huge splash in FA next year, and maybe one big signing this offseasn (by giving out a small base salary for 2009, but making up for it in 2010). The signing this offseason could be resigning Greer, Crowell or Peters. We would also be in a great position to take the BPA and have it fill a need come the draft. The Bills need to trim the fat to build a championship team, things will get worse before they get better. And with our current coaching situation and upcoming scedule, I see no better time than now to do it. (this is pretty much what the Phins did this past year, they jsut had a lot less fat to trim)
  22. Raji, Brown, Orakpo, M. Johnson, Cushing, Pettigrew, Jerry, one of the OT's. I expect one of those names to come off the board with the 11th pick. Whether they are worth it or not, I will let you decide. Personally, Raji, Brown, Orakpo will all be off the board. Cushing, Pettigrew, and Jerry are reaches. Buffalo hates TE, so count out Pettigrew. Knowing DJ, he prob loves Ellison. To me its down to two paths, Jerry in a big reach or an OT. OT is ruled out if we resign peters, peters is on his way out of town with the drafting of an OT. Both of the last two scenarios are typical Bills moves.
  23. I live on the east side of Rochester. It takes me a little over 1:30 to get to the Ralph. A friend of mine from SD tells me that for people on the south side of LA, it would take them about the same amount of time to drive to the Chanrgers stadium. If I can drive that distance, so can they. LA already has a team, they are called the CHargers.
  24. FA: Kirk Chambers Draft: Paul Kruger, Connor Barwin
