  1. In hindsight, I wouldnt have signed TO, but instead traded a 2nd round pick -- ie Byrd -- for Boldin. In extra hindsight, I would have signed TO -- and traded for Boldin.
  2. That list is so un accurate.
  3. I see 5-11, as most teams are not coached by limp Dickie
  4. Which is exactly why I am happy to see the Bills follow this blueprint. History shows it works. I would love to find the combined cap figure of these three backs and compare them to the cap figure of say Westbrook or Tomlinson. They are the highest paid RBs I think, but its better practice, and maybe even cheaper, to employ multiple backs. (figureing that one back cannot accumulate the stats to demand a high paying contract, and that being one of two or three, he realizes he is expendable.)
  5. We have to keep them all. None are worth gettign rid of, and Owens will leave after 09. keep one or two inactice -- like Schoebel and Fine were for much of last season. Injuries happen and 2-3 of these guys will miss games, so dont worry about who we have to get rid of, worry about how to keep them all.
  6. The best football teams have great depth at RB, as in 2 or 3 guys who could be starters in the NFL. Example: SB Champion Steelers - Parker, Mendenhall, Moore. The year before: Gmen - Jacobs, Ward, Bradshaw. With the three on our roster, we have three guys who could start any game and no one should be worried. Good to see the Bills taking steps in the right directions.
  7. The NFL is rigged, but not in favor of the Bills. It is easy to move a team that has not made the playoffs in over 10 years (we are almost there) than it is to move a SB champion team. The Bills will not make the playoffs untill a new owner is in charge.... The NFL does not want to/can not move a good/playoffs team. Therefore they are keeping the league's/new owners options open by continually keeping the Bills down.
  8. There is a reason Florence was let go by the Chargers -- and it was not just Cromartie. The Chargers never let a good player walk away, but they let Florence walk away. The Jags then cut him after one year. I dont know their reasoning, but I dont expect much from him with McKelvin, McGee, Youboty, and Corner on the roster.
  9. TD was worse no question. He hired coaches over the likes of Coughlin, Del Rio, and Fox, two have coached into the playoffs, one has won a SB. with the 4th overal pick he drafted a guy who is OUT OF FOOTBALL -- a tackle so bad he couldnt even move inside to guard and be a backup. Whitner is still an above average NFL safety, who could be better with a pass rush. TD TRADED UP to draft a QB who is now OUT OF FOOTBALL, no one is going to carry Losman on their roster past training camp. Levy drafted a 3rd rd QB who beat out said 1st round pick in his rookie season. Lynch= Levy, McGahee= TD. Levy's biggest flaw is resigning guys to huge contracts when they dont deserve them. TD couldnt get anything right.
  10. Any offensive minded coach who has the nuts to win. I like the idea of hiring a guy right then to evaluate players, but you wouldnt see a new coach coaching right away. They cant teach a new O or D mid year.
  11. Tommy Harris got real good real quick.
  12. Maybe he will become Albert Haynesworth... ... I wish we signed Albert Haynesworth
  13. I noticed that they went for it on 4th and goal and made it.... Limp Dick would have went for 3. Hopefully we see some of that type of play calling this season. We dont have that type of talent but I think its good enough and Trent really plays well when playing with that tempo.
  14. That makes one of us.... I dont expect anything from Maybin for at least a year or two
  15. I think Trent will be fine. Over the last two seasons, whenever the Bills have gone into theit 2 minute O, it seems that Trent just flips a switch and go from mediocre to dominant. There is something about the hurry up that brings out his best and quickest decision making, which I felt he lost over the course of last season.
  16. Honestly, who ever gave the go-ahead on the current uni's? Not only is it a terrible design but they used the least eye-catching colors they could find. I am a big fan of classic/throwback style uni's in all sports. I like the original Sabres logo and colors better than anything else they have. I love that Detriot Redwings have stuck with thier logo. So it no suprise I say BRING THE BILLS BACK TO 1965!!
  17. Who knows if it was the booze or just his talent level as to why he was not successful. But bottom line is if he is an upgrade over McCargo we should sign him. I also would like to see us take a shot on Willie Williams, UDFA. There was a thread on him before the draft and if nothing else he should be invited for an open tryout.
  18. This guy needed to do a study to figure out that running backs need good blocking? Everyone knows that already...right? All this article did was remind me of just how good Lynch and Jackson are. We averaged about 4 ypc this season with the worst blocking in the league... now if we could only get soem mediocre blocking.
  19. Is it just me, or do all of those Jerseys just look awesome... except the Jets jersey which is, no debate here, the worst uniform in the history of sport. J-E-S-T JEST JEST JEST!
  20. La'Roi Glover would help shore up the DT position, I think he still has 10-15 snaps a game left in him. With the LBs that are out there I cant believe we havent gone after Keiaho more. Clearly no one else is going to sign him, so he cant demand that much money, and unless you are ok with a Harris/Ellison competition it is a no brainer.
  21. Youboty has been a quality corner in every game I have seen going back to his rookie season. He has always been great in run support which I really like. He has missed too many games to prove it though. I really hope he stays healthy this year and gets a new deal. He is more than capable of being a starter in 2010 if he plays like he can and McKelvin can improve too.
  22. Im sure everyone has seen a lot of Tebow on tv. Everytime I watch, I see him throw perfect fade routes to his WR -- the fade is the hardest pass to throw -- and he puts it on the money every time. Go find a copy of the FL St game this past season when Tebow was extremely accurate with his throws in what was hurricane type weather. People knock his arm, I just dont see it. He is accurate and its more than strong enough for the NFL. He is also a big body like Roethlisburger and has very good pocket awarness. Whether you like his as a QB or not, I dont think you could find one NFL fan that wouldn't want Tebow on their team. I hope he is a late round guy so the Bills take him, he is going to be a great player.
  23. Hide a PB&J in the QBs helmat ala Little Giants and he will get there
  24. I think everyone is just assuming that Butler will move to RT and Langston to LT. I for one believe that Chambers will start at LT, Langston will stay at RT with Butler working at both G and T. One of the rookies may not start, or Hangartner may not, but I think you will see Walker stay on the right side, or move to the bench if Butler and the rooks beat him out. The best lineman will be on the field, and from watching both Walker and Chmabers on the left side, I would say Chambers did a better job.
