Bulaga at least has a chance - the only reason he seems like a RT is because he is such a great run blocker. And Okung is extremely good pass blocker.

I think he could be a decent OLB. That would allow him to play more in space which I think will benifit him. Asking him to play inside I think he could get manhandled by blockers. He plays strong and fast so he may provide a good pass rush. He cant be any worse than Maybin in that regard, and we know he takes better angles in run support and is better in coverage. It may not be such a long shot, after all his competition is Maybin, Ellison, Kelsay, Ellis, and (maybe) Schobel

Also ask the Raiders how passing on Calvin Johnson worked out for them after some QBs amazing workout in shorts...... Rookie LTs come in and perform at a PB level at a much much much higher rate than a rookie QB. Clausen could sit on the bench ala Carson Palmer and we could get a LT next year - which means a wining team sooner. We could get a Charles Brown/Tony Washinton in this draft AND Clausen at 9 too. (my best case scenario) If he is there he has to be the pick. The only Ts worth taking over him are Okung and maybe Bulaga - both of whom have a higher chance of being picked before 9 than Clausen does. This is almost as big of a no brainer as Ngata>Whitner and Orakpo>Maybin. Lets hope we have some brain power behind this pick.

Yea, the sight of our potential NT being pushed 5 yards down field on 80% of the running plays does not sit well with me. There is no NT worth the 9th - exo facto we should not draft one at 9.

Guilty until proven innocent... but once proven innocent they are still guilty!?!?!? - These players are targets for dirt ball scammers trying to make a quick dollar by taking advantage of their fame. I hope not. Its not that I dont think he is a great player and all - cause he is - but at 9 there should be better options. Hes not a 3-4 prototype, and at 9 thats what we should be getting at olb. I think Graham would make a better olb so I would rather have him. Same with Kindle. We could also take D. Williams to play the nose. Thats assumeing Clausen and Okung/Bulaga are gone. We could also land a Jerry Hughes in the 2nd or Eric Norwood in the 3rd/4th who could probably produce similiar numbers considering the role they will be playing on this team. This stupid sh*t team tooke Maybin last year they are going to have to live with him at OLB in the meantime.

If its not Clausen, just draft the best player who weighs 245+. Whether its a LT, NT, or LB we need help at all those positions. Tony Washington is a legit top 15 talent who will be there at 41 because he slept with his sister 10 years ago. We can get a starting caliber LT in the 2nd, even if we take Bulaga in the first. Get some real value and it will fall into place.

Maybe because Campbell is an adequate starter but McNabb is a boarderline HOFer? 11 season, 5 NFC championship games with no WRs and no running game. The Philly offense has been 1 player for 11 season - with westbrook having some good fantasy #s along the way. With Shanny and the Redskins talent, McNabb should make that 6 for 12. Also, dont you think the Giants would trade for Peyton Manning if they only had to give up a 2nd and 3/4th? Would that mean you wouldnt take Eli? Teams are alwasy trying to improve - one player doesnt have to suck in order for him to be replaced. Campbell is better than what we have, and if he ever had the same OC for more than 9 months he may have developed by now. Draft Clausen and sign Campbell - I dont want our rookie QB injured by the 3rd play from scrimmage bc our OL IS going to suck.

Senca Wallace perhaps? No one has mentioned Seattle. I know they paid a Kings ranson to a career third stringer (Rob Johnson, cough, cough) but will that stop them from tarketing clausen? They mentioned on NFLN that Carroll really likes him so they could be a factor. More likely with their second 1st I would guess.

IMO I think Clausen will be a better pro than Bradford. Cant complain about him at 2 let alone 9. The only other players in the draft I would draft over him if given the luxury are Suh/Okung/Bulaga - all of which likely to be gone at 9.

I think the most impressive thing is that he did it all while being at like 85% bc of injury. Now lets get a pass rush and see what he can do.
