  1. I will take a SB winning coachs opinion over Tom Modrak and his army of scouts who have had great success here in the past, a first time GM and assistant GM who has had unknown success because no one knows what picks they have made. I will take Grudens opinion the same way I would take Chris Carters opinion on Charles Rogers. For the record Carter worked out with Rogers pre-draft and knewn he wouldnt make it in the NFL, yet no one listened.
  2. .. by simply calling Jon Gruden and asking who to take. I just re-watched the Gruden QB special where he sits down with Bradford, Clausen, McCoy, and Tebow - watching film and talkin football with all of them. He even took Tebow out and worked him out. A SB winning HC who is a toal QB guru/junkie is given one on one access to ALL of the top guys, watches all their tape, finds out what they are all about, and even gets a private workout. He got the interview of a lifetime with every one of them. What else do you need? If the Bills are not taking advantage of that they are a bunch of idiots. Buddy, call up Gruden and just ask who he would take!
  3. Id rather take a chance on Tebow than A. Davs or D Williams or some other fat bum who is not dedicated and not very good. Physically he has the size, the arm strength, and the hand size. He throws teh best deep ball in this draft hands down. He is the most athletic QB in this class, maybe the most athletic to ever test at the combine Mentally he is in an even better position moving forward than physically. Smart, dedicated, and wont be in the papers for anything buy charity work Technique wise he is off. Footwork/throwing motion etc. This hurts his intermediate accuracy. he has already improved this a lot in a short time. If it takes 3 years to judge a class, where whill tebow be in 3 years? Now if I am going to draft a QB, Im going to take a QB who first must have it mentally, then he must have it physically, then I will teach him the Technique. Seems like we have a winner!
  4. Some young women use alcohol as an excuse to be sexually aggressive at fraternity houses and nightclubs and then quickly concoct a story of sexual assault when confronted by their disapproving peers. Most of these allegations never make it to police headquarters. Thank You! If you read the police accounts, the accuser's sorority sisters drove this case. If Ben's bodyguards dragged the accuser to the bathroom, you could make the argument that her sorority sisters dragged her to the police. That is what I have been saying all along. Read the reports. Not ONCE does the "victim" claim she was raped the night of. Only her friends do. The "victim" doesnt say she was dragged to the bathroom, her friends do. The "victim" says she went back there with Ben. She is quoted in the report saying "we had sex" not "I was raped" or "He force me to...." The case was so flimsy that Big Ben was never even arrested. Once she sobered up, the accuser didn't even cooperate with the police. Think about it for a second, and dont just assume he raped her because her friends thought she was. All you jumping all over him were the same ones all over teh Duke Lacrosse team.
  5. A pattern of being accused ? The Nevada case is un-arguably the case of a gold digger. There were over ten (100% of them mind you) first hand accounts willing to testify that the relations between Ben and that Girl were concensual. Then she waits a year to file a civil lawsuit for money.... Come on people think about it! The second case is more difficult, but just because a second accuser comes out doesnt mean he did anything. Just ask the Duke Lacrosse team.
  6. I remember thinking how much he sucked and couldnt believe he even declared for the draft let alone was being touted a top 10 talent (by McShay - go figure). Mayock did not liek him one bit as a 3 down player and said he shouldnt be considered for a 43 team at all. I believe I staed it would have to be the 3rd round before I even though about picking him, but prob wouldnt even then. I remember thinking "there is no way this kid will be drafted before E.Brown/M.Johnson/C. Barwin" The latter of the two were 3rd round picks so I guess my assumption of 3rd-4th round was spot on in that regard. My favorite college team is Texas, and my favorite play from Texas since VY was Orakpo. I will never recover from that pick. PS Lamaar Houston is a stud, so is Kindle, thomas, and Mucklerroy Kindle at 9 may happen and I would be OK with it because he could be a D Ware type guy. Houston in the 2nd may be the best value on the board at that point. Muckleroy is prob a cover two LB and Thomas could be a great FS - I hope we dont take those last two.
  7. I have wondered this for years. If its so successful in college it should work to some degree in the NFL. DBs are better but so are the WRs. The windows will be smaller but hte QBs more accurate. Its all a bunch of BS I tell you!
  8. He has also never made a good pick in the first round, assuming he has had any say in making the picks...
  9. I just wanted to quote this to make sure everyone reads it. This deserves its own thread. This is not new news, this was known by the Nevada DA who did the investigation. Big Ben did nothing in Nevada - this is a case of a gold digger plain and simple. Now, another girl accuses Ben and bc he was accused twice he is guilty. FYI, I read a lot of the reports that have been released, nothing the accuser says the night of the Georgia incident indicates she was raped. Her friends calim she was as they werent allowed into that bathroom, but the actual victim does not. Then, the next day, she is saying she was..... Fishy none the less.
  10. Prob another team that isnt too concerned with winning
  11. As do I. Which is the same reason I will never root for any Duke team... because those lacrosse players are total scum bags rapists!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS: TRADE FOR BIG BEN
  12. Ill wait 4-6 games for the next 8-10 years of his career. This is a no brainer to me. TRADE FOR HIM and take the cahnce he stays out of trouble. TRADE FOR HIM
  13. I <3 Bulaga and he is my Bills #1. I think he gets the RT label because he is a better run blocker than pass blocker - which is NOT a knock on his pass blocking, but rather a testimate to just how dominant he is inthe running game. I really hope he is the Bills pick. Knowing my luck he will fall to use and we will draft Bust City Anthony Davis. Also, its a breath of fresh air to see someone else saying Spiller is not a round 1 talent. Gimmick RB who cannot run between the tackles? No thanks. Drafting a punt returner in the top ten is like taking a kicker in the top ten. I may just kill myself if we draft him at all, especially after last years top ten debacle.
  14. I dont think we will have to lay down for that to happen this year.... The OP does have a point. Is anyone going to argue that having higher picks hurts the team drafting? The Lions sucks because they suck at drafting - it has nothing to do with where in the draft they pick. Now im not saying we should lose on purpose, but bottom line is if we lost to the chiefs/Panthers/Jets we would be in a much better position to add that stud QB/LT/DL who could really help turn things around. Now we are at 9 and all those guys may be gone leaving us reaching yet again. Hopefully the football gods are kind to us like last year and allow a top 3 talent to fall to our pick... so lets hope we dont draft another Maybin!
  15. Spiller is not going to be this great back everyone is making him out to be. Think Reggie Bush - he not bad, but was he a let down from the draft hype? Absolutely. We have enough kick returners.
  16. I would rather have guys like Iupati, M. Pouncy, B. Spikes....
  17. The time sucks for the east coasters too. 7:30 start time, 32 teams at 10 minutes a team.... 5 1/2 hours!?! - thats 1am. Hello, I have a job and have to wake up at 7. My job sucks enough already without forcing me to get less than 6 hrs of sleep. All day Sat was best.
  18. I bolded the games that I would say the Bills have at least a 50% chance of winning. If I went down to 40% or better chance of winning I would have included the Jags.
  19. I dont think Dan WIlliams is very good. So taking him in the top 10 is a very very bad move. He was totally destroyed by a single blocker vrs Bama, so if he is that good we should REALLY draft that Bama Gaurd!
  20. Tony Washinton or Charles Brown or M. Pouncy or B. Spikes Any good OL will do, but I wouldnt mind Spikes either.
  21. My only hope is any scout/coach/human associated with the Bills who had Maybin as a better player than Orakpo has been fired and banned from OBD. Maybin was bad in college and it was painful to watch - then he is drafted 11th overall. I will never get over that pick.
  22. Why does anyone want to add another gimmick player/return man to a team built around gimmick players and return men. Spiller is not some every down stud RB. He is a Reggie Bush like 10-15 touches a game guy. Drafting him will only hurt this team.
  23. Hughes/Graham/Kindle.... there are a lot of OLBs to be had. I really like Norwood in the 3rd or so. Im really hoping that we land a LT or QB
  24. No one can watch Gerhart and not be impressed. HIs game absolutetly translates to the NFL. Aside from Johnathan Dwyer and maybe Ryan Mathews - who I haven't seen play but I hear is very good - I bet Gerhardt is the best RB in this class. He is a total beast.
  25. Say what you want, but whenever Troy Smith got some pt in the NFL, he played very well. He started two games as a rookie, had pretty good numbers and IIRC moved the offense down the field. He is a guy I have always thought, even when he was in college, could be a very good NFL QB because he does have a strong arm and is accurate. With 3-4 years of learning under Harbaugh, I think (hope)he has the mental aspect down too. Its a 5th round pick - who really cares? Would you not trade Alvin Bowen (a guy who never played and is no longer on the team) for Troy Smith? Thats the type of player you get in the 5th round 9 out of 10 times, ALVIN BOWEN. Ill take my chances with Troy Smith!
