  1. You are correct. I meant a 4th down that they attempted to convert.
  2. The Chiefs faced third down only 5 times throughout the game. Did a quick google check and that's only happened 9 other times in the last 25 years. And the crazy thing is, they only converted one of those 5. There are individual drives that have 5 third downs on the regular. Just an epic meltdown on the defensive side of the ball. Not meaning to make this another fire McDermott thread, but he got absolutely schooled yet again in the playoffs. Yes they had injuries, but not nearly enough to excuse this level of futility. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/which-team-has-the-fewest-3rd-down-attempts-in-a-game
  3. Loved his attitude and fire but you have to back it up on the field. He came up with his worst game in only the biggest game of the year. In retrospect, he just looks like a loud mouthed idiot on the sidelines.
  4. You're right. He could have slipped. Or lost his helmet. Or gotten stuck in the bathroom at home this morning. He did so many things right today. Having said that, he can go get f'd.
  5. I know you don't mean Dustin Hopkins but..
  6. Kind of weird how little is being discussed about this injury as he might be the best player on the team not named Josh Allen. Him not playing could mean the difference between winning and losing this game.
  7. Exactly this. Perhaps it's just the homer in me, but I feel as though Allen has another gear that can only be gotten to consistently with a forward-thinking OC. We see glimpses of it here and there, but there's something there that is truly transcendental with him compared to anyone else I've seen at QB since I've been watching the game.
  8. This is exactly what I was thinking also. Late 2020 before they got into the playoffs was the best the offense has ever looked imo, perhaps even including the playoffs the year after. The timing and precision mixed with the creativity, it looked equally as fun as it looked unstoppable. Since then, with the odd outlier game here and there, it seems like we do our best off-script and are hoping for the best.
  9. Maybe it's just me and I'm romanticizing the latter Daboll years, but the passing offense still seems a bit disjointed, does it not? A lot of the success seems to come down from broken down plays that Allen has to improvise on as opposed to guys being schemed open or even the odd gadget play. I agree that a big chunk of Allen's success will depend on him just not thinking and going off-script at times but I think back to some of the games he had earlier in his career and how they made everything look so easy, even against some really good defenses. Keep hoping every week that they can get things together but I don't think that's happening without a new OC. On the other hand, I think Josh is that good where he can single-handedly win you the next three games to make this point moot but I would still love to see what he could do with some fresh blood in the coaching room.
  10. This guy's been a douche the whole time he's owned the team, no?
  11. Thought this guy was cool until that nonsense he spewed about Jordan Phillips last month. I'm not even a Phillips fan but Kelce sounded like a total whiner. Great player though. If players were stocks, I'd short the hell out of Jalen Hurts next season.
  12. I'm guessing this has something to do with the max number of call-ups the Bills have? Because I don't understand why Murray needs to take a roster spot when he's clearly the worst rb on the team. Can anyone confirm?
  13. The offense is going to have to have it's best game of the year. The defense can't be expected to hold the Chiefs to 17 points again with how decimated they are. I'm ready for hero ball Josh.
  14. Maybe not a game ball, but Gilliam was responsible for that 4th down sneak being successfull. Allen was short and he singlehandedly carried him past the first down line. Huge play in the game.
  15. Now I'm curious what he did July 25th.
  16. This isn't technically true or the defender on a losing team would jump offside pre-snap all the time late in games (like during a qb kneel-down). I believe it has to be a post-snap penalty for this to be enforced.
  17. Certainly hope so. James Cook is a season killer with his boneheaded mistakes.
  18. https://www.wkbw.com/news/local-news/hopefully-ill-be-back-john-murphy-voice-of-the-buffalo-bills-shares-his-recovery-story I know there are some who prefer Chris Brown but I'm definitely not one of them. Sucks that this had to happen to him of course, but worse still that it did when we finally have a good team. Hope he's back in the booth asap. Get well soon Murph.
  19. O-line was fine. James Cook can't break a tackle if his life depended on it.
  20. Post it in the tickets thread here.
  21. Who hates Allen here to the point they want him replaced? That is patently absurd. Just because fans criticize his mistakes doesn't mean they hate him. This feels like a bit of a strawman thread.
  22. Hill is running forward on all of those motion patterns before the snap. They never call it.
  23. Allen is the only reason that clown isn't coaching DBs in Carolina. Eff him.
  24. Great play by Benford. But Rapp is seriously going to get one of our defenders killed. Such a reckless moron.
