New Bills WR. Former Lion Quintez Cephus

IfAt this point the answer is on the roster or we wait until 25. If Coleman is more Keenan Allen than Kelvin Benjamin. If Shakir is ready to step up to be a younger Diggs. If Samuel can be the Curtis Samuel mold. If we can get something out of Shorter.. If Kincaid can take a major role in the game plan. If Brady can make it work -

My point is people have brought up some of these names as guys to add to the mix. I get we lost a lot in Diggs and Davis but improved play by Shakir and Kincaid and with a healthy Knox and adding Samuel and now Coleman our offense is in good hands. -
Is Micah Hyde definitely out this year ?

Well if that's true then why did Kincaid say that Bishop usually got the better of him in Coverage in practice? According to you he would be getting smoked one on one? I think you should actually go watch film of the player and stop reading media representations. Your assessment is WAY off with Bishop. He is super athletic and runs a 4.45 40, and can pretty much do it all

It’s all sort of funny and joking around but what’s going to happen is Allen is going to start to get pissed off. Then nobody is going to be laughing. There better be a real move for a WR coming or this is going to be a rough season. Look at what Miami does to help out their mid QB…Don’t be the team that pisses off a generational talent because you are too stubborn to go get a real WR. -

I woke up this morning knowing I'd be arguing with this idea. I think "getting separation" is way, way over-rated. Let's start with the obvious: Yes, it's great to a have a receiver who can get open off the line of scrimmage, but the truth is there are very few of those guys, and most of them are slot receivers. Those are the guys who operate in close quarters and use quickness and change of direction to create quick separation. And yes, there are some wideouts who get better releases off the line than others. But I'd say there are fewer than 10 wideouts in the league who actually can consistently get separation. The defensive backs in the NFL are too good - if they can stay reasonably attached to even the best receivers, they aren't playing. To a great extent, separation comes scheming: formation, motion, route design, and options. Most of the completions we see are throws to receivers who are open because the defender has been put in a difficult position with the scheme. Defenders can't position themselves to handle both in-cuts and out-cuts. Zones all have weak spots - often those weak spots are created by the routes. The Bills' passing game is going to be all about creating those kinds of challenges for defenses. Coleman, Shakir, and Samuel all are run-after-catch guys. Cook, too, and now Davis, too. The receivers seem like a good collection zone busters, so I'd expect the Bills will see a lot of man. The Bills will counter with a lot stacked formations - trips wide, trips tight, with plenty of motions and rubs. Bills have been notoriously bad at screens, and at at wide receiver screens. I think that will change. Shakir, Coleman, and Samuel all are serious ball-carrying threats - two of them are punt returners. Coleman is going to be a nice addition to the group. I think people need to start getting used to seeing some outstanding athletic plays out of him. That's what he's going to bring, and the Bills will find plenty of ways to get him the ball.

Beckham is a hasbeen. Hollywood brown has a neat name. Tee Higgins is peerless price. 🤷🏼♂️ Samuel is a poor man's lee Evans.

I was not one of the ones saying we only needed speed. Look who the Bills have on the roster at WR: KJ Hamler 4.27 (claims this per pro day - open to debate) Curtis Samuel: 4.31 Andy Isabella: 4.31 Lawrence Keys: 4.35 Khalil Shakir 4.43 Mack Hollins: 4.53 Bryan Thompson: 4.54 Justin Shorter: 4.55 Tyrell Shavers: 4.59 Keon Coleman: 4.61 Xavier Johnson: 4.64 The Bills have added speed or guys known for it. In Coleman they also added a guy who has all of the markings of a possession receiver who has hands of superglue (two dropped balls). Initially, I was frustrated with the pick. The more I see and think about it the more I like what the Bills have done. For those who simply wanted unproven straight line speed (i.e. Xavier Worthy) - the Bills picked up KJ Hamler and Samuel who are both fast. Samuel is a very known person to the coaching staff. Coleman, like any draft pick, will have to prove himself. Let’s hope he does.

In hindsight, should we have traded for Diontae Johnson?

The late round picks clearly had zero value based on the trades being made. I think it would’ve been a steal -

Samuel had more yards receiving last year than Odell Beckham Jr. and Hollywood Brown and 43 yards less than Tee Higgins. Just some food for thought. -

Welcome to protest season, where the cause changes but the tactics stay the same Opinion: Protesters focus on a moral panic each summer, to the exclusion of everything else. This year, it just happens to be Israel-Hamas. by Jon Gabriel It’s protest season. Again. This time, the Israel-Hamas conflict is the pretext for activists to block freeways, vandalize buildings and occupy universities. Protesters took over Columbia University’s Morningside Heights campus, renaming it the Gaza Solidarity Encampment. An estimated 800 students set up tents before replacing the American flag with a Hamas banner. They chanted Islamist slogans, told Jewish students to “go back to Europe” and menaced anyone who disagreed. Being a prestigious Ivy League school (annual cost of nearly $90,000), Columbia administrators quickly shut down the unrest. Just kidding, they canceled in-person classes, as during the pandemic. Seems $90K doesn’t buy what it used to. https://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/2024/04/27/college-protests-israel-hamas/73454043007/
