  2. Nearly 100 Retired General Officers Urge America to Maintain Support for Israel DAVID STROM It's not quite a rebuke of President Biden--most former General Officers try to refrain from attacking the Commander in Chief--but these former high-ranking military officers are clearly pushing back from the administration's pulling back from supporting Israel. How high ranking? How about the former Commander of the US Central Command? Or the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe? Or Commander of the US Strategic Command? Actually, forget it. Just think commanders and deputy commanders of just about every military branch and unit of note we have in every theater around the world. They all urge that America remain steadfast in its support for Israel and its war effort against Hamas. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2024/05/17/nearly-100-retired-general-officers-criticize-bidens-abandonment-of-israel-n3788408 .
  3. What would you give up for Aiyuk? You mentioned earlier you would go with a 1st+ for Metcalf. How do you rate my 4 top contenders - Aiyuk/Metcalf/DHop/D Adams?
  4. Apparently it’s a canopy. They’re all the rage now. #shouldhavebuiltacanopy
  5. They have a strong offensive line that helps. He also had a drop rate lower than Allen has ever had in his career. He also has some pretty massive home/away, and indoor/outdoor splits. Home and away is pretty normal, but as we've seen with Tua and the dolphins... crowd noise can disrupt a lot of timing on your offense. As for weather conditions - October games @ NE, GB, NYJ should be challenging. Not to mention KC on the road in December. In 5 games played outdoors regardless of condition: 2-3 record, 60.63% completions for 1109 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT. Losses were to Baltimore, Carolina, and NYJ. Carolina and NYJ were some pretty pitiful passing lines. Anyway... 4 dollars a pound 🙂
  6. That's an old wives tale. I only have to shave my palm every other month.
  7. That I fully agree with. I saw a petition online for the Chiefs to cut him because of this speech, which I think is just ridiculous. They won't, for what it's worth. There are select times when I feel one's words or actions rise to the level of potentially meriting dismissal from one's job. This is definitely not one of those times. If anyone on the Chiefs is gonna lose his job, it ought to be the guy that drove a car 100mph and nearly killed someone, then (allegedly) assaulted a photographer in a nightclub just weeks later...but that's a different story for a different thread.
  8. There is only one weapon that is effective against liberals Have you ever had the misfortune of debating liberals on social media? I have far too often. I never intended to, not once. It was simply the unfortunate consequence of my continuous bad habit of posting stuff on social media that contradicts established progressive orthodoxy. There is nothing that provokes a leftist more fanatically than encountering a social media post that they do not agree with. They immediately engage in a holy war against that post. The main objectives of their crusade against speech they disagree with is to bully the offenders into silence. When provoked by ideas they disagree with liberals engage in the ugliest and most mean spirited personal attacks against those that dare voice them. The absolute worst thing you can do if you find yourself troubled online by rabid leftists is show anger. That is what they crave the most. They are like puppies starved for attention. Deny them your anger. Always maintain the moral high ground. Combating a liberal’s usual diatribe with facts and logic is just as useless as shooting a werewolf with traditional lead projectiles. They are completely immune to those weapons because they have been indoctrinated for decades by our abysmal educational system. They have been brainwashed into believing that reality is subjective, all that matters to them is what they believe and what they feel. The only truly effective weapon to use against liberals is ridicule. One common side effect of progressive indoctrination is the erasure of their sense of humor. The brainwashing hypersensitized the part of the brain that leads to the sense of being offended. . Facts and logic dressed up with non-mean spirited and humorous ridicule is the deadliest weapon you can use when engaging in verbal combat with liberals. https://datechguyblog.blog/2024/05/16/there-is-only-one-weapon-that-is-effective-against-liberals/ .
  9. The article says that the parents objected to the LGBT education on freedom of religion grounds. This is the same reasoning that many parents use to keep their kids out of sex education. I should know, I went to Catholic school lol
  10. I agree, however Samuel and MVS are both explosive players. Samuel has one of the very fastest releases off the line in the entire league per analytics/next gen tracking. MVS is a legit deep threat. Has previously led the league with a 20.9 ypc avg in a season
  11. Wow. Shocking. Just goes to show, even if you're the top golf pro on earth, getting to the course early to ensure you have time to warm up AND make your tee time is VERY important! LOL
  12. Scheffler just released a statement which, predictably, said all the right things. He said there was a misunderstanding as to what was expected of him. It concluded with thoughts to the family of the man who passed away after being struck by a shuttle bus. The mug shot and distraction will get all the attention, but somebody died here. Without seeing exactly what happened it’s hard to have a strong opinion, but it does sound like a simple case of miscommunication.
  13. Ask 32 GMs and you’ll hear 32 different answers about the prospect, need, and draft philosophy. Ultimately it comes down to what you project that player to be. I don’t think there is a right answer. My preference in round 2 pick 60 was to trade up and get my center. They wanted S and got their C later. I can’t disagree with how we approached this draft. We were aging out. We have new holes to fill and that means you can’t just give away tons of draft capital to try to move up into the top 15 or top 10. Everything about our roster and cap situation going into this draft said we need picks. Lots of them and we have to hit on them. We don’t know answers or what we should have done until their careers play out anyway and even then you can argue - “who knows how Mahomes pans out if he doesn’t sit for Reid for a full season.”
  14. Reuters Discovers Trump's Super-Secret Plan to 'Control the Department of Justice' ED MORRISSEY And that would be ... winning a presidential election. No, seriously, that's the plan. Donald Trump becomes president, and then appoints people to set prosecutorial priorities and statutory interpretations at the Department of Justice and the FBI. For some reason, Reuters labors under the impression that this would be the first time a president has done this Ahem. In fact, double ahem. The current Attorney General has demanded executive privilege over a recording of a deposition of Joe Biden in a criminal investigation. When did Special Counsel Robert Hur become a presidential advisor? At the same time, the DoJ is using another special counsel to pursue felony indictments against Joe Biden's opponent in the upcoming presidential elections, having waited nearly three years and until Trump became the clear GOP front-runner before taking any action on those cases. And let's not forget the DoJ's attempt to cut a sweetheart plea deal for the president's son that was so embarrassing that a judge threw it out and forced Merrick Garland to actually prosecute Hunter Biden. How'a that for "independence"? https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2024/05/17/shocker-reuters-discovers-trumps-super-secret-plan-to-control-the-department-of-justice-n3788566
  15. Stroud will be a good one. But yes, we could see a sophomore slump. But then again, he got stronger as the season went on last year.
  16. Nah, the next time she'll be relevant is when her OnlyFans account goes live
  17. greetings this topic has some legs by golly. I like that people are talking to each other though. . Since we inhabit a chatroom of people whom are used to stating opinions on football. This topic has caused an obvious segueway to discuss topics involving aspects of religion and politics. And the opinions are being stated pretty eloquently. Which is just like this place btw. Best football chat board Period. I digress I am not Roman Catholic nor are many of the hearers of the speech here in the chatroom . My Butkers views were meant to go reach a Roman Catholic audience. But it clearly spilled out and here we are Is anyone shocked fhat his words would be Magnified and he be called out for them? And not just from people who are secular, athiest, and yes even Christian people didn't agree with all he had to say. Me personally hope he doesn't lose his day Job for it though.
  18. If Biden wins, then she will end up being the President and that is most terrifying.
  19. but here we are butthurt because a man who has a skill for an athletic team has a religious view? everyone caring about this to scream at the sky is just whats wrong with the world. it's silly.
