Yeah I wasn't looking at 2nd team and I lumped pro bowl and all pro together for this purpose, but you come to the same point - it's not a defense built on athletic "freakazoids", it's a defense built on "Do Your Job". I agree with you about pro bowls, but they are a form of league-wide recognition, enough so that contract incentives are based off them, and yes, Tremaine made 2. And yes, Tre White was the closest thing we had to that athletically superior freakazoid and it hurt to lose him, and hurt more that Elam never developed into a player let alone a replacement. Everyone has draft "oops!" but that one hurt. I don't think we should overlook the impact on Bernard of 1) playing next to Dorian Williams for 11 weeks. He was kind of minding 2 gaps - his own, and the one Williams might, or might not, be minding. 2) He also was dealing with injuries - got back on the field after a torn pec in a week. That's unheard of, but it has to have been affecting him beyond his first game back. He also gave 1 whole game to an ankle injury. (I'm sure you don't want to hear it, but he also got married mid season) Really the question with Bernard - he's got that smaller frame, no doubt he's tough as nails but he has to be going at 95% to make plays bigger dudes can make going at 80% so will he be durable longer-term? I think the thing the Bills really like Bernard is his on-field generalship. Part of it, of course, is who Edmunds was playing with. When you're a rookie playing with Zo Alexander, Matt Milano, Tre White, Dr Poyer, and Mr Hyde, there's not too much need for field generalship and in fact, it might not go over well. But when backups are playing, and as the roster churned, there was a need, and it took several years for Edmunds to develop that part of his game. I thought it was notable that there were vignettes in "mic'd up" of McDermott sending coaching messages on field through Micah Hyde at critical points in critical games. I thought it showed some in 2022. Bernard, from what I've seen, is more like a little Honey Badger. He don't care who you are or how many years you've played, he just cares where you are and what you're doing on the field and if it's not the right thing you'll hear about it - on the field, on the sidelines, and if need be afterward. Hopefully the baby will be getting more sleep by September and as long as he stays healthy, I'm confident he'll be fine.

Minnesota lawmaker assassinated another shot.

He has radical views on immigrants. Open borders. That’s all I see there. Sorry. -

Why would such an evil communist leftist agency like USAID fund the above speech? You’re in the denial stage of grief. You’ll move on shortly. -

Prove it was “MAGA.” Which should be easy since there is a manifesto and a car filled with no kings fliers. And a wife that interned for Walz. As did he - you get appointed to the positions he was because totally on merit - not your connections. As he should. The Democrat party is a terrorist organization flaunting the law and calling for more violence and “resistance” to the law. We need to go full EU. -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
JohnNord replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
McConkey and Worthy were thought of to be more refined receivers. The consensus was that Coleman would need to work on his route running in the NFL and was more raw than those players. Yet Coleman who only played 13 games isn’t that far off from the numbers that Worthy put up. In fact, his yardage was almost the same despite playing 4 less games. So that and the fact that even as an undeveloped WR he put up an average stat line as a rookie I think is optimistic. The question is, how much better will he become? -
How many wins do the Bills get without Josh?
Gregg replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs have a better HC who has a great offensive mind, a better defense, and a better DC. This is not to say Mahomes isn't important to the Chiefs. Obviously, he is but he gets more help than Allen does. -

Your response is insane. And your views are based on rumors and non-facts. Take some advice and wait to hear the story from the people working it rather than media clowns that would rather advance some dogma than provide news. -

Prove it was USAID. Since when did USAID fund bizarre right wing evangelical nonprofits? -
Saw that. In my assessment markets are completely mis-pricing risk. The traditional pattern of behavior is panic for a day or two then assume a return to normal. That's why buy the dip has been so profitable. Israel has vowed the Iranian nuclear program must be eliminated. But what they can't do is effectively attack and destroy underground facilities. They lack the heavy bomber aircraft to deliver the bunker buster bombs necessary. They've been attempting to convince the US to launch such attacks. So far the administration has said "no".

Please don’t think. Just go by his USAID performance in the Congo as proof he’s MAGA. -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
whorlnut replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn’t read all the responses, but the answer for me is, no. Keon was drafted very high in a DEEP draft for WRs. I was very surprised that he was apparently who they targeted when there were lots of concerns about his skill set as a prospect. To compound the issue, Beane didn’t double dip in a deep class like he probably should have. That’s why I also think the criticisms from the media and fans about WR and Beane are warranted. It was a head scratching selection to begin with and then not to try to hedge your bet with another receiver made zero sense. With all of that…I HOPE Keon puts it together and Beane was right. That’s what we should all want, but I certainly have my doubts. -

my expectations were average going into the offseason. he occasionally showed flashes of being able to become a monster. i was hoping they'd send him to go train eric moulds. hes done a few things that have me a little bit excited, he showed up bigger after putting on some muscle weight and faster. plus he is a harsh self critic, guys like that tend to make the jump. sure he could get hurt or fizzle out and there are tons on this board that are waiting to say i told you so. some of those cool cats are still waiting to say the same about how we got the wrong josh and we'd have 9 super bowls if they had just gotten rosen instead. lol and thats why i love it here. GO BILLS! -
Reportedly by whom? I always wonder if they just make this stuff up. Meanwhile, Iran launched a major missile attack last night against Tel Aviv and Haifa. Which hardly seems like the actions of a regime looking for an off ramp. This back-and-forth might go on for a lot longer and with a lot greater intensity than most expect.

ddaryl replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never had any expectations of Coleman becoming a WR1. I also do not feel the Bills need a bonafide #1 WR I do expect Coleman to become a better pro and to come close to doubling his rookie production -
I never said Kelly was better. I was saying that your statement that there is not ONE thing Kelly did better than Josh is wrong. Kelly was clearly better at making it to Superbowls. let’s hope that changes for Josh

Look, I'm not the one who blamed someone for a plane falling off aircraft carrier, as if Hegseth was the one towing it out of the hangar ( ) . But if we're doing the blame game, yeah, I'd blame Austin for the billions of dollars of equipment left behind and the 13 dead soldiers in Afghanistan because of the horrible exit plan. And what's your problem with Hegseth's performance so far? That some underlings added an American reporter onto a group chat (and were dismissed)? The mission conducted was a success. Recruiting is up. Is this just complaining to complain? And you believe Hegseth's wife is in meetings. I heard a report that Iran would stop bombing Israel if Israel stopped. I was floored. I think Iran never expected in a million years for Israel to bomb them. But FAFO.
