  2. Special teams is a critical part of this. Let's look at the DL guys who we think are locks for the roster: Ed Oliver - does not play on STs Greg Rousseau - v limited STs just the FG block unit Joey Bosa - does not play on STs TJ Sanders - did almost no STs at South Carolina Landon Jackson - did do some STs at Arkansas and likely will for the Bills UNLESS he earns a heavy role in the DL rotation. Then let's look at the other guys in the picture for roster spots: Deone Walker - did not play special teams at Kentucky Daquan Jones - does not play special teams Dewayne Carter - does not play special teams AJ Epenesa - v limited STs just the FG block unit the past couple of years (did do it more earlier in his career but was not good) Michael Hoecht - been a core STer through his career Larry Ogunjobi - v limited STs just the FG block units Javon Solomon - core STer They are the 12 guys in the mix for maybe 10 roster spots on the DL. If the keep 9 they can probably get away with just one of the backups being a core STs guy. But if they keep 10 or more they are going to need at least a couple of those guys to play teams. There are only 3 teams players there: Hoecht, Solomon and Jackson. Hoecht is suspended for the first 6 weeks which means Soloman is very likely to be on the roster or you are asking Jackson as a rookie to not just play some teams but be a core STer while also, hopefully, working his way into the edge rotation. Is Solomon then at risk when Hoecht comes back? Yes. But it might depend where Landon Jackson is by that point. If he is getting a lot of run with the defense then I think Solomon has a chance to stick.
  3. I have long given up trying to understand what the Bengals do, but they do have a new DC. It makes some sense that he might have wanted to see everyone in person in offseason workouts before deciding who to release.
  4. If Bills want to pay him , they need more from him. I cant speak to Kamara stats over the years or the Offense he has played in. But it seems Cook would fit better outside the tackles whether run or pass God Bless our O line and wr/te downfield blocking last season creating lanes btw
  5. To be honest Coleman is not the answer. He will do a little better this year but nothing mind blowing. It all comes down to our D Line again. You have to be able to get the opposing QB on the run and sack him. The Eagles did this to KC. We did not. Our team has failed every year in the playoffs because of this lack of D pressure. No QB pressure when it counts in the playoffs equals losses every time. That is why our receivers are so important. If we cant get the opposing team off the field in a single series of downs. We need wide receivers that can make the clutch catches and make YAC yards. Right now Shakir is the only guy that does this. Coleman has no speed and we signed two more receivers to try and come in and make a difference. Elijah Moore & Joshua Palmer. It goes to show that the faith they have Coleman is not what everyone thinks it is. I hated us signing Coleman but that ship has sailed so long ago. All we can do is hope he puts on his superman cape and pulls some sort of miraculous 2nd season performance out of his butt this year, with this team. We just need to find 3 receivers that when we put them on the field together they wreak havoc on the other team's D and DB's. We have not had that in the JA era.
  6. Imagine if Brady made better use of his HBs , to get solid chip on a blitz. Or help out Dion against Chris Jones lol
  7. I've heard of him so there's that! Git 'er DONE BEANE!!!!!
  8. That's called competition, and they have the practice squad for the rooks
  9. As we all know, he likes to pinpoint specific comments and ignore others in order to try and prove his points
  10. My sister was basically a Talas groupie…
  11. A legend … may he R.I.P.
  12. Whatever you say, poser.
  13. We may have tried to get him. But we obviously pivoted to spending a 1st Round Pick on Maxwell Hairston and signing Tre White as veteran insurance (not to mention also Drafting Dorian Strong and Jordan Hancock, who may or may not fall under the Safety Depth chart). I think the ship has sailed on whatever our interest in Alexander was. The CB room is crowded now as is. To bring him in would mean Maxwell Hairston would be playing the Kaiir Elam role of 3rd Outside CB that doesn't really see the field outside of injury (and may be a healthy scratch like Elam was for his lack of Special Teams). On top of that, with Benford, Alexander, Hairston, and Taron as locks - that would leave 1 spot (maybe 2) for all of Tre White, Dorian Strong, Ja'Marcus Ingram, and Dane Jackson. Possibly even Jordan Hancock if they decide he's only a Nickel CB.
  14. also none of the 4 are iron men
  15. 2020 election was rigged... confirmed. They said out loud what we already knew. Illegal immigrants have been voting in our elections and this one even holds political office!
  16. Very fair. We haven't seen McD with an elite def unit (healthy) come playoffs- unit or player at an impact position DE, CB). Im more pro McD than anyone else here. I think Beane has made so many great moves/and depth, but ultimately has failed at finding an elite defensive talent. Thats likely Beane+Coach+others making those decisions, so its not all on Brandon. Just think we'd see much different results on defense, if we had a Josh Allen equivalent - like the Chiefs, Eagles, Bengals, 49ers, etc have had to make a deep run.
  17. I think he’s going to be a solid rotational player while Hoecht is out and then when Bosa inevitably misses time with injury. Statistical predictions are really my thing for edge rushers, but I think we’ll be happy with his play He’s not even close to 310 lbs. think more like 260ish. Not sure positive, but pretty sure that sites, including the Bills are still using his college weight
