What do you think Ralph Wilson would think of these Bills?
May Day 10 replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. The Ralph I know would have had trouble coming to terms with a lot of these extensions they have handed out and we may have lost a few more players like Dawkins, Knox, Taron, etc. Overall, how would he not be pleased with the results and the new Stadium being built. I do wonder how he would feel though with his family cashing out just before NFL franchise values ballooned to epic proportions. -
Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
BADOLBILZ replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's life on social media though. So more like apples and oranges than similar. Though I wouldn't doubt that someday some PFF dude might get hired as a high ranking personnel man. Millen and Mayock got hired as GM's from the booth at a time when that seemed impossible. Beane himself went from fetching coffee to basically handling anything tech related in Carolina to becoming the GM in Buffalo. He kinda' bypassed the whole road scout thing and might have been the only one in the office who was even using PFF data. Imagine telling an office of old school guys that this data is important so you gotta' pay for it and then getting a sh!t grade from the company on a free agent signing. Gettleman was old school road scout and went to the Giants without Beane and was famously roiled by the media for not having "computer" people or having any analytics department. -
UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?

That's besides the point. It's what they did with the enriched uranium before. That is their main concern, to save that. They obviously do not want to escalate war with the USA by killing our pilots. -

is it possible that people Want the military exercise to be an unqualified success, Elimination of nuclear threat accomplished. YAY for how long? Hopefully forever. AGAIN the fact a person would like some assurances and proof is not only reasonable but essential to process how effective said bombings were. I would tend to trust our military did a great job and hit targets intended. they acted well IMO But please let me say this for the simps that think questioning the bombings effectiveness is somehow traitorous, unAmerican and wrong what a crock of mierda. With more facts being made will take care of a LOT of doubts. Until that happens, and it seems to be happening, give me a break on the unamerican traitor smack. It's weak and makes you sound foolish. Yes Im talking to YOU Naranja -
Buffalo at Miami 1989 - The entire final drive

Bills did win a wildcard game in 1981 at the Jets. -
Do you think a leader like Zohran Mamdami is, at all, good for your hope of not having a President Vance or Rubio in ‘28? Trump is a populist, but has made gains with tons of new voters while reshaping the Republican Party in a way that is far more durable. Can Mamdami do the same? Hes not President, no, but as Mayor of NYC (should he win) he will become the poster boy of the Democrat Party for future elections in the high likelihood his socialist plans for NYC go the way of San Francisco. With NY being the media capital of the country, you can bet the exposure will be nonstop. If anyone wants him to lose, it should be moderate Democrats around the country. Should he win, he becomes a living, breathing campaign ad for the GOP nationally.

Say what you want about Ralph, but one thing he was is loyal. He was loyal to Buffalo*, he was loyal to other team owners, he was loyal across the board. Pegula is also loyal and his team is ingrained in the community. I think Ralph would be very pleased. * his estate is building a multimillion dollar park on the Buffalo waterfront, goodness. -
Fair enough. I like JJ but his contract was one that I was scared of. I love his speed, he has a nice shot, but I don't think his game is well rounded enough to commit to him long term for that kind of money. Norris was a trade. We are paying Norris "too much" because we gave a bad contract to Cozens.

Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
boater replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, that. I have noticed: all across my life there are places that need new young blood, including here at TSW. We're all a bunch of day-posting retirees, naps in the afternoon and in bed at 9 PM. -

This. Saying he is the most emotional GM paints him as if he is on some extreme. He is a normal dude. Calling him the most emotional makes it sounds like he is all up in his fee-fees and crying all the time. On the WGR segment, he was angry and defending his decisions, not crying and whining. Belicheck used to cultivate an angry persona of being a hair's breadth away from exploding so that people would not challenge him, maybe they caught Bean on a bad day, I don't know, but it was a normal reaction. And, yes, it probably wasn't fair to WGR because it was taken out of context from the whole show, but then I don't want my GM listening to WGR all day.

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
Doc replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Again, the statement that carries the most weight with me is Iran admitting that their facilities were “badly damaged.” They wouldn’t want to admit that to their people and the world and it no doubt underestimates the amount of damage done. -

I know. But still, the long period after our brief AFL glory was mostly characterized by misery. From 1967 to 1987, we went something like 118-196-3 (.377) and were 0-3 in the playoffs. Despite a few moderately good years, I think it's fair to call that extended period of time the Bills Dark Ages. Kelly and company were the Rennaissance and that was an exciting time. -

Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease
DapperCam replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
The team was actually kind of entertaining when Nolan was a coach during the tank years. You at least knew the team would try hard for 60 minutes, even though they stunk. People don’t want to see a spoiled 22 year old floating around out there while the team is missing the playoffs again. -
I dont have that kind of money, but yes. He is worth that much and there was apparently a marketplace of teams willing to pay him. 23 Year old who scores goals and about to enter his prime. They are paying Josh Norris more than that annually. The problem is, the silly past decisions. Owen Power contract, buying out Skinner last year (and not using the cap savings) which was stupid, Samuelsson, and UPL. Also, the Norris thing

Aw poor Beane, having to deal with the tough gestapo-controlled Buffalo media who have fawned over him for like 8 years. -

Obama‘s deal was as worthless as the paper it was signed on. Your bias prevents you from acknowledging that fact. On one hand, you say that we don’t know where the sites are that are holding nuclear material and facilities while on the other hand you’re saying that Iran wouldn’t have been able to enrich uranium without us knowing about it. -
