  1. Past hour
  2. This is IMO a strategic and not a tactical choice. Reading between the lines McD became increasingly frustrated with Daboll & Dorsey for not sticking with the run. Combine this with the need to protect his defense McD's game strategy appears to be run clock and keep the opposing O off the field and score. That's nice in theory but hard to pull off on a regular basis. And I'm not sure McD would be thrilled with a 2 play 70 yard TD drive taking 45 seconds. The problem with this strategy is that it's asking way to much of an offense that hasn't exactly been showered with the lions share of resources over the years. Back during the SB seasons the Bills would put their D in tough spots by scoring to quickly. But this always seemed like a good tradeoff as the high powered Kelly O put a lot of pressure on opponents. McD clearly does not want to go down this path.
  3. Knox and Kincaid are on the field to do different things. I guarantee you Knox is NOT running more routes than Kincaid, and he certainly isn't getting more targets.
  4. No disagreement about the 2nd part. But it's just so hard to sustain the offence they had last year. They barely turned the ball over and I think Josh Allen had the least amount of negative plays in nfl history last year for a QB. It's just an extremely tough formula to replicate, and the game against New England was a good reminder of that
  5. If you want to get mad about a play, get mad about the play two plays later. 2-9 from the NE 42 with 1:25 left. Bills come out in a cover 2 zone, and the Pats get a 19-yard completion to Boutte, who got into a space in the zone. That was ballgame. Looking at it again, it felt like they were conceding the FG after the play to Diggs. Big mistake. Well yeah. It’s clear that the Bills win the game without the turnovers and drive-killing pre-snap penalties in the first half. But they did misplay the end game situation.
  6. This seems like a reach to me. The Bills defense did force a longer field goal and the Bills defense shouldn't have been in that situation had the offense not turned the ball over 3 times.
  7. I think it can work too but I also think that against better defenses in the playoffs this team is going to need boundary WR's to make plays. I don't think trying to get someone in who defenses will respect more and who can be a good to guy when needed is a bad idea. But that's also easier said than done.
  8. Ah yes, my favorite conspiracy theory. Our HC, who is closing in on 100 wins and has the highest win % in team history, is secretly pushing coaches to play not to lose. He tried to neuter our offense, but is so incompetent that it's just made it historically good for multiple seasons and multiple OCs. If only we had a real HC.
  9. At least the guy got a game ball out of it..........If you met my wife, you'd see why i would have left her for a hot dog.
  10. I think that Keon Coleman and Josh Palmer CAN work on the outside. Palmer is a good route runner. Coleman has the size. We have other guys with enough speed to make safeties pay attention. But we have to be willing to attack, even if they aren't always the highest percentage play. Dorsey was too aggressive. But I think Brady has trended too far the other way. Eventually defenses catch on. Our offense has been gradually trending down as the season has progressed.
  11. Yep. Another exhibit in the sad disappearance of he "maverick Senator."
  12. I'd suggest with injuries heading into the playoffs always a very big factor, having as many options producing plays across the board is a good hedge. We all know Allen will Allen. as always, can this Defense get healthy/ stay healthy in January, and can they make a play or two to nudge this organization to the final game?
  13. Every PeeWee league knows in that situation, you take away the underneath yards, defend the sticks and 1st downs, take away the outside yards and anywhere near the boundaries where they can stop the clock and force them to throw long........if they get a TD out of it, well they've earned it. You have to force the O to keep the game in front of them, so i don't know what our D was seeing on the last drive.
  14. Id be good with Shakir/Kincaid getting 80% But 61% & 49% is just Fing stupid
  15. If you want them to stay and hope they finally make it, they might, but there are no historical examples of anyone reaching their first Super Bowl after this much time with the same team. Someone has to be the first to do it.
  16. When you plan on playing 20+ games, that isn't a horrible plan. Still, he's on pace for 900+ yards, 10 TDS, and I believe 75+ catches as of now, with only playing 54%
  17. I would still like to get a quality boundary WR. Not sure how or who fits that description but I think teams are going to get centered around daring the Bills to beat them on the boundary. Stack the box and take away the middle as much as possible, leave the corners on an island one on one and give them that. I think Olave or another much better than average WR would be a big trickle down benefit for the offense.
  18. He hasn't been the same since he served as Hillary's valet. He always looks like he slept "in a van down by the river."
  19. "Everyone eats" is basically a euphemism for "we don't have any elite WRs" Knox out-snapping Kincaid last game is Exhibit A on why this nonsense needs to stop.
  20. Our #4 WR could be the deep threat, and that is totally fine. Shavers has some wheels, but we haven't ever tried it yet. I really think when he's healthy, Gabe Davis takes that #4 role and we see more deep attempts. That's basically what Hollis did last year.
  21. "But instead of charging Margolin, the Marine Corps moved him to an air base in Miramar, California—referred to as a “coveted gig” by Marine attorneys. At the time of his transfer, in August 2014, Ewers served as the staff judge advocate to the commandant and was directly involved with what duty stations his judge advocates were assigned to, attorneys said. “When [Margolin] didn’t get processed for separation, you could have knocked me over with a feather,” said a retired judge advocate who served with Margolin. “If you think people didn’t notice the clear and abundant favoritism, in the words of the immortal Judas Priest, ‘you got another thing coming.’ But it was par for the course with that group: You were either in their little tribe, or you were sucking eggs.” Margolin retired two years later with full benefits. “I’ve seen enlisted Marines court-martialed for less,” said a retired senior defense attorney. Margolin is currently serving as a supervisory immigration judge in Santa Ana, California. He did not respond to interview requests." https://thewarhorse.org/sharkys-and-the-golden-boy-military-justice-abandons-the-vulnerable-to-protect-the-powerful/
  22. I’m not sure New England is a bottom half team anymore. They just took down Buffalo pretty convincingly at home (with a little officiating help.) Defense looks legit and they have enough offense to win games.
  23. Everybody eats...........most teams with a true WR1 are eating T-bone steak, our WR's are eating Salsbury steak.
  24. Everyone eats is fine but there is a reason why most teams do try to get a true "WR1" on the boundary. The Bills have an offense where much like the start of last season teams are going to dare the Bills to throw to the boundary. Stack the box to stop the run, gear the passing defense to take away the middle and leave the corners one on one to handle the outside WR's and give them that. As much as people looked at Cooper's stats last season and said he was a bust there was a reason why his acquisition correlated to the team being much better on offense. Teams for the most part respected Cooper enough to not always leave him one on one. It made a big difference to how the offense could operate. The Bills need that consistent boundary WR to make the offense flow. Once the offense consistently scores the pressure is off the defense and it even improves the defense as later in games teams have to become more one dimensional.
