  1. Past hour
  2. I think he knows it's not his strong suit. He developed a boilerplate speech that he uses for wins, and it does the job. But yeah, I don't think we're not going to see him pull a Pacino in Any Given Sunday anytime soon.
  3. I mean, is it that he tripped on his pull or that he was even asked to pull on 4th and inches?
  4. He's quite possibly been the best RB in the NFL for the first month of the season. Second in rushing yards. First in rushing touchdowns. And he's probably had 4-5 shoestring tackles that prevented him from hitting another long touchdown run. I'll quickly admit my take on James Cook was wrong this offseason. I thought he peaked last year, and could be replaced without much drop-off in our team's offensive production. But he really took his game up a notch this year, going from a mostly homerun threat to one of the league's best 3-Down backs.
  5. I just can’t get too worried about warm-weather or dome teams like the Colts, Jags, Texans or Chargers coming to Highmark in January, no matter how good they might look now.
  6. 100% true - I was sitting in that endzone and was screaming that before the timeout. That timeout was necessary IMO
  7. He wasn't a dumpster fire at Oklahoma but he also had future number one overall pick Caleb Williams breathing down his neck As a sophomore Oklahoma he threw 28 touchdowns 7 picks in over 3,000 yards His senior season at South Carolina was 19 touchdowns 8 interceptions.. almost 69% completion 260 yards per game so he had a good season just not a lot of touchdowns
  8. What I think I saw: 1. Hated that INT Josh threw. As soon as he launched that balloon ball, my gut said INT. 2. Difference between Saints and Bills is that the Bills don't make big mistakes late. 3. Loved the TD to Kincaid 4. The second period was BRUTAL. 5. The 4th down flip to Shakir should be immediately removed from the playbook. 6. Surprised the Bills have taken the push tush out of the offense. Or seemingly so. 7. That game was significantly more stressful than it should have been. 8. Give the Saints their props. They fought hard all game. 9. Cook almost never looks like he is running and then he gets 6, 8, 10 yards a carry. 10. Glad Bishop got an INT. Thought he played well.
  9. Wouldn’t be surprised if hes gone after this season.
  10. Yeah that did seem a little strange...have had barely any rain for months in the area so it definitely wasn't from rain.
  11. That's why I'm very happy the new stadium is going to natural grass Cannot beat it and it's safer
  12. I'm hearing real grass on the new field next year
  13. Leslie was a pretty big name when we hired him. And he had the #1 and #2 ranked D in his final 2 years.
  14. It's a good thing we have the following coming in and coming back soon: Ed Oliver Matt Milano Maxwell Hairston Michael Hoecht Larry Ogunjobi
  15. Rattler was the #1 rated QB in his class coming out of high school...he did not do well at Oklahoma(I think?) and then looked better but not great at South Carolina. Definitely a guy that they expected to be better than he has shown this far when he entered college but seems like he might not ever get there. He was OK at times, way too many easy inaccurate throws to open WRs, including the non-TD to Cooks
  16. well, now that we paid Him, they are working him— getting their money’s worth!
  17. Got to say McDermott not a great speech guy. Not very inspiring. Looks uncomfortable talking to the team.
  18. Honestly I think that's the bigger long term effect. Even if the chiefs look mortal we all kind of assumed they'd rally to some extent by end of season. If the Ravens skid hard and early and lose most of their D I honestly don't know if they can keepup
  19. But we're allowing 130 yards passing McDermott is clearly willing to let people take a long time running down the field.. between the 25s.. and then he clamps it Even when we needed to tighten up against Baltimore we stopped the run the last three drives he's playing a long game... And we're still top 10 in points against And they're getting good players back so there's still optimism
  20. It should go without saying that 10 men on the defense is an execution issue by a player or lower level coach, right?
  21. Dallas defense is soooo bad
  22. yeah, today for some reason I thought guys were slipping a lot. Off the top of my head, I remember both Palmer and Samuel slipping on routes, bishop slipping in coverage, the saints TE awkwardly slipping out of bounds, and even the Tre 4th down tackle on Kamara seemed To be kamara slipping. just seemed really unusual for such a nice day.
  23. Yeah I felt that in the moment too. But 3rd and 4th and 1, the o-line didnt hold up. That trick play needed to be the third down call and then you let Josh roll out on 4th down. That little pass/hand off to Shakir was similar to what Penn State ran to tie Oregon Saturday night. Very nice design. Terrible execution
  24. I know this thread is about Cook and so far he's the engine of the offense this young season. What I'm worried about is both Davis and Ty Johnson being so ineffective that something may have to be done if they don't pickup their play. Just look across the field, even for the Saints they have 3 RBs each can make some plays.
  25. There was probably a cute middle schooler just off camera.
  26. I’m not going to crown the Chiefs either. The Ravens play small in big games, with all the injuries, the Ravens could be in big trouble especially if Jackson’s hamstring holds him out and lingers the season. They are so reliant on Jackson’s legs being a threat when you take that away and his ability to extend plays the offense won’t be the same. The Texans will be interesting because they aren’t very good but the Texans o line will be facing a Ravens pass rush that isn’t good to begin with and now these injuries make them really bad. Toss in Jackson being compromised or out and the Ravens could be looking at 1-4
