  1. Past hour
  2. is it? you know how much easier it is to run against fronts that have to accommodate for QB keep tag? we should give ty johnson the ball more, then...he averages 5.2!
  3. Eyeballs closed when blocking
  4. Beaner will not tag him. Not against Cook. If he, and a big if, he holds,...wonder what his reaction will be when Ray and ty get the job done.
  5. If Beane is truly the professional executive we all want him to be, then he isnt letting "feelings" get involved at all and understands this is all modern MO in negotiations. JaMar Chase, Tee Higgins, Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, all had way more "drama" at this point, but got deals done. Terry McLaurin, Micah Parsons, Trey Hendrickson, all holding in, will get deals done. The GMs dont get nearly as offended as the fans. For good reason. And those are just the names from the past month or so. This happens every year across the league. It's how it goes.
  6. Don’t hate on the sweater vest under tweed jacket look. It is very appealing to all women of a certain age and even some women of a certain younger age. It easily adds 20 points to my projected IQ. Add in some yammering about case law and they literally melt.
  7. Was that Tom Brady's binky?
  8. Now do the Billionaire owners who contribute nothing.
  9. I dont, and I am guessing Beane does not appreciate how Cook is handling "business". Nor does he want to set precedent, and reward such Non Bills DNA behavior. Back in early 70s when Buffalo was freezing, and Bills not so good, Al Davis used to threaten to trade hold outs to Buffalo lol
  10. Easy to argue that RBs are scheme protected in a McVay/Shanny offense as well. Maybe even more so. Just differently. Should also factor all the times we dont even get to 3rd down because Cook is gaining 5 yards/carry (4.9), while Kyren needs 3-4 carries just to move the chains.
  11. Is Kyren a 3 down back? If so, Kyren is 1/3 more useful that Cook. This should, and Im sure is baked into Beanes offer
  12. You forgot how many times we will hear "Everybody Eats" in reference to the offense.
  13. not to get into heavy x&o but iirc we ran the heavy jumbo set (6oline plus 2TE) a ton early in the season and were able to get a lot of success w knox/kincaid seam but as far as actually running the ball from jumbo it's basically either outside zone or duo...it's an exotic look but we aren't doing it to add a gap and get fancy w some zone blocking scheme, we were basically just using it to bash people and try to get defenses out of their lighter sets all this to say- i think cook has it a lot easier running the ball in this offense than he would elsewhere. hes scheme protected in a way kyren williams for example isn't
  14. As I said I'd be willing to give him 11 12 million dollars a year That's more than fair for what he does
  15. Maybe Cook should politic better in the locker room so he can stand up in Josh's wedding so he can make $14M-17M like Knox who apparently doesnt block well, which I'd argue is a bigger part of the TE job than RB. Guys, thank you, but I get all this. Im obviously being half facetious in my posts. But it really isnt a show stopper for me either, given Cook's other talents which we have not been able to recreate with any other back we've had.
  16. Problem is if you check to a pass then it may require Cook to pick up a blitzer. A lot of people downplay the importance of run blocking but it is a huge deal imo.
  17. menu question: neither of these is really football or Bills related, but it's a Tuesday night and we have what we have on hand: Tikka Masala with Naan Chicken Marsala w/ angel hair either one we would probably add some roasted or steamed veggies from the garden. Either way it's chicken + a Wegmans sauce from the pantry tonight after work. I'm torn, though.
  18. The jumbo online package is more first and 10 , second and short and 3rd and 2 and less... They might take occasional shot plays out of it on second and short but it's not a third and long package It's not something they really bring out on 3rd and 11 when a defense is bringing a pressure package... When you typically need your running back to block or chip and Release
  19. Tua, and the Fish in general, have been fantastic against the also-rans of the NFL. The knock on Tua is his durability as well as his (to this point) inability to put a team on his back and win the tough games. It seems as though teams with well-coached defenses take away what Tua does best, and he struggles to compensate. I don’t personally “hate on” Tua — I’m actually concerned for his long-term health and would have advised him to retire after the last round of concussions. I think he’s a good dude and a very good QB — but not elite.
