Confident enough that their was no reason to take a risk. Do you think they would not have gone for and got the 4th and 2 in the 4th qtr if they needed to? They punted because they knew they had control of the game and could just pin the bills offense down inside the 20. They also had multiple drops from wide open wr'.

I get it, but 12 points is simply not acceptance on offense - even against a great defense. The Titans offense scored more points against that defense than we did.

I’ll say it again, the defense gave us 23 points. Houston averages 22 points. We held them to a total well within a winnable range for a team that nearly leads the league in scoring, despite all the the turnovers. The run defense has its woes but I think the yardage is overblown. People perceive a 12 yard run much differently than they do a 12 yard pass. The running game gives us the perception that we’re being destroyed, while a routine completion for equal yardage is not nearly as criticized. How many 2-5 yard pass plays did we complete? They were no better than the pass. In fact we regularly lost yards on passing plays. Do you think Houston cared if it was run or pass? You can about results in the end, which was a game the offense should have been able to win despite putting the defense at a disadvantage multiple times. Perscription or not, I think the glasses gotta go.

Some of those players will be reworked/extended I'm sure to lower cap hits. I would guess Bosa gets resigned and it's something both sides want to do.

They've never been a terribly strong team from a mental standpoint anyway. A season like this with a bunch of speed bumps is only goong to get worse.

To be fair he was tasked by McD & Brady with constructing a line that could run bock effectively and he has done that. And this is another example of how the Bills roster has been deliberately constructed to take the ball out of Allen's hands in the mistaken belief that when called upon, Allen even with inferior & mismatched offensive players around him can throw a switch and play superman. Only a defensive minded coach and GM would think that this was the best way to build a roster around a consensus top 3 QB talent. The fact is that McD & Bean do not fundamentally understand what Allen brings to the table and how best to use his talents to win championships. It's almost as if they're doing the exact opposite of what would work best. It's gross mismanagement of a roster and I can't imagine any offensive minded coach screwing this up in the way McD/Bean have. .

Aside from enjoying Josh when he's being Josh and Cook when he's being Cook, there has not been much to enjoy with this team since 13 seconds when McDummy should have been fired. Every day since that point is just another day of Josh's career being wasted by a vastly overrated front office and coaching staff.

Depending on where the Bills finish they’ll have to win 2 games minimum on the road to advance to the Super Bowl. Seeing as Josh does not yet possess a road win in the playoffs this seems apropos.

Zero sacks on Davis Mills. The Houston OL isnt tops in the league. The gashes up the middle. Did Greg Rousseau play, I honestly dont remember hearing his name. Thats our 20 million guy. AJE same crap. At least Bosa drew a holding penalty. Their DL made a lot of plays ours not so much.

I used to get angry for days on end but that's was my teen age years. Sure I'm angry post game but by tomorrow it'll just be another game.

Makes you wonder when the Bills will start fielding a defense anywhere close to this level again.

Marshawn Lynch, Lee Evans, Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Kelsey, Poz, Stroud, Whitner, Kyle, McGee, Schobel. I mean I just picked one random year. Forget about the Takeo years or the Mario years. We have had more talent in the drought years multiple times and for long stretches. We just didn’t have a quarterback.

Here’s were we currently stand with certain players 17 mil - Dawson Knox 11.5 mil - Taron Johnson 11 mil - Matt Milano (dead money, not on the roster) 9.75 mil - Curtis Samuel 7.2 mil - Joey Bosa (dead money, not on the roster) 4.8 mil - Connor McGoverns (dead money, not on the roster) 4 mil - Taylor Rapp 3.7 mil - DaQuan Jones (dead money, not on the roster) 2.8 mil - AJ Epenesa (dead money, not on the roster) 2.5 mil - Larry Ogunjobi (dead money, not on the roster) That’s 74 million of our cap for next year.

Missing the postseason is very much a possibility for this team.

Yeah I can’t agree there. Look back at those sacks and you can see that there’s almost never anyone even remotely open. It looked like Allen got through 3 reads before getting sacked on a couple of those. This is on coaching and utilization of the WRs. There were almost zero answers for the pressure all night long. That’s coaching and just getting outclassed.

And we still had a chance to win.

True and lack of route adjustments by the OC.. quick passes and short swing passes were needed .. they just weren’t called enough .. Josh is clearly exasperated and overwhelmed.. trying too hard.

On the bright side: Two things.. If they were ever going to bring Daboll in, this needed to happen. Nobody in this organization should gaf how Brady feels about it. His pass offense is an absolute joke and he should be lucky they don’t fire him right now. They’re not winning the division. So just get in and then rest everyone Week 18. Worst case scenario is we get to that week with a win and NE loss scenario to win the division… go all out and they win. But watch… CIN will certainly beat them on Sunday now.

My father's been watching since 1960 and he doesn't complain The bills losing the AFC championship and he says oh well good year we'll get them next year He was a college football coach.. I don't get that down because I never saw my father get that down Football players and coaches usually have a high resiliency

If he didn’t do it with Ben Johnson, Vrabel and McDonald available. I think we need to miss the playoffs for it to happpen. problem is if nothing good is available we waste another 2 years.
