  1. Past hour
  2. Wow. All the greats from my younger years, and through the decades drifting away. I saw "Three Days of the Condor" a few years ago for the first time. Really great movie. He always seemed to portray a quiet, steely sincerity. RIP!
  3. The rise of the mentally ill. They make one heckuva terror organization.
  4. If they end up with a top-10 pick, I could see Johnson pushing to move on from Caleb as early as next year. Especially if they bring in a new GM. Then Caleb isnt tied to either of them, and neither of them will want their HC/GM careers tied to a QB they didnt even pick.
  5. Franklin made 3 tackles on kick off returns, which is quite impressive. Franklin and Strong have been the gunners, and doing a great job. That’s because the Bills had the worst coach in team history- which says a lot. He chose to use OJ a decoy and traded away some of our best players
  6. Josh McDaniels was a failure of a HC in two different places. And terrible as an OC with the Rams. He was a successful OC with the greatest QB of all time. Brady got him HC jobs. Johnson definitely made a difference in Detroit. He was a huge influence. Being a HC is way different though. The jury is still out.
  7. Perhaps the most amazing stat is that Bills havent lost a fumble in last 17 games. A good part of that is luck, but it is also a tribute to McDermott and entire coaching staff. McD takes a lot of heat for things that don’t go well; he deserves some credit for things that do go well.
  8. That was your position before this incident and continues to be your position now. So what?
  9. Every team is committed to it. But things like the amount of practice time dedicated to drills on Peanut Punches, targeting the ball on tackles, confusing QBs on defense can vary wildly. Not to mention stressing (or not) throwing the ball away under pressure, hitting checkdowns and such on offense.
  10. Usually one a season now, generally a snow game. My kid is too young to go to a home game and enjoy it, so I usually watch on the couch with him and stress text my friend group chat throughout the game. Growing up my dad had season tickets so I'd go to ~5 a year. I do enjoy the tailgate atmosphere and wish I could go more.
  11. Driving in from Albany on Thursday morning. Gotta get me some quality tailgating on what looks like a beautiful day!!!
  12. I had to fact check you, and you are absolutely right.
  13. This is one of those things where it is likely going to come down to internal information. On paper I just don't see them going with an unproven play caller in what is supposed to be a Super Bowl window. Joe Brady had been an OC for two seasons at the NFL level before taking over for Dorsey and that was a mid-season take over where they couldn't do much else to jumpstart things. Curry has never been a play caller at any level. Whereas let's say Daboll is available and interested in being OC do you go with a guy that's done it with Josh before or do you go with the unproven up and comer?
  14. I’m done with this guy, great player but is durable as paper mache in a downpour. Money couple be better used to find a replacement. Last year we should have cut ties.
  15. Taking my 21-year old stepdaughter to her first game (she bought the tickets for a father's day/birthday gift, but she really wanted to go!).
  16. Well you have to give her credit for thoroughness. "Eliminate his bloodline!" She really pulls no punches. I give her the Lefty Loony Award for yesterday. In impressive prize considering the levels of Libnut-ism out there lately.
  17. And on top of that these guys are barely practicing anyways. It is killing the product.
  18. But the perception is different because the Chiefs two years in a row had a very average offense. Now year 3, it's continuing. Then they just came off of the most embarrassing Super Bowl performance of all time.
  19. How many HC's have been successful in that organization? What about QB's? How many GM's do they recycle? He went to a dumpster fire and it will take awhile before any success is possible.
  20. We playing the Gin Mill Sunday afternoon stop in I buy you a victory beer
  21. Really impressed with Hawes. These role player (niche) roster spot players fail more often than not. Why scheme and role flexibility is spoken so much during the draft process. More you can do more likely of making the team. Coming in and being a dominate run blocker is impressive. Having the technique and nastiness to take it to pro edge defenders is rare for a rookie. He seems like a homerun. Has a little more to him in the passing than one would expect really opens up PA. Great day 3 pick. Him and Walker look like steals.
  22. If anything this shows we should all hide any evidence of political beliefs before entering a hospital.
  23. I wouldn't count the Chiefs out at all! They played a good game missing two of their starting WR's and a rookie Guard. Their O will improve no doubt. Their Defense looks top 5. They are hitting hard. Remember Baltimore started 0-2 last year???
  24. The limelight is going to be on him. He was the hottest Coordinator out there and he has the #1 overall QB plus other good talent. The offense actually looks worse this year with Caleb in his 2nd year. Very early yes but he was the "walk on water" Coordinator. Certainly not a finished product but it couldn't have started any worse IMO. Caleb looks lost.
  25. The Bills were 3-10-1 in 1970 with OJ on the roster. Was he not an attractive addition for some team? Judge the player, not the jersey he used to wear.
