A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game
Mike in Horseheads replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless @Virgil has stopped this is his topic. -
Yes, last year at Georgia Tech he had 16 receptions on 19 targets (84% catch percentage) for 195 yards (12.19 ypc). Low volume but those are good numbers.

Well, another worthless stat..total QBR

QBR way overrates rushing. That's always been a big flaw. -

A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game
Rock-A-Bye Beasley replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Random late-night thought after re-watching. the bills end up kicking with time expiring, so Baltimore has nothing to gain from taking their timeouts. If Harbaugh doesn’t take the first time out right away it puts the Bills in a weird spot. They have to bring out the kick unit or Time expires and ravens win. Ravens could then call the timeout with 15-20 seconds, then bills are forced to kick the field goal without kneeling a 2nd time. This leaves Baltimore with some time and one timeout after the FG. would’ve been interesting to see how it played out. -

Bills sign a new punter!! Welcome Cameron Johnston
Freddie's Dead replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Had to sign him to the active roster to prevent him from being poached from the practice squad. -
Just came across this on ESPN site. According to that metric, Allen had the 11th best statistical QB performance for the weekend...which shows some flaws in the system. For those of you keeping track, Jackson finished #1. https://www.espn.com/nfl/qbr

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – I Never Leave Early
Da webster guy replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lots of great stories from people who left early. Radios, parking lot TV's, my crew was in Kettles Bar and it was mayhem, he said he wouldnt have changed a thing if he could go back. also for some of us if you don't leave a little early you aren't getting home until 2am on a school night for these late games. Bummer we only have two 1pm home games all year. -
Did Harbaugh Call Timeout Too Quickly?
Da webster guy replied to Last Guy on the Bench's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our special teams has been a disaster as long as McD has been here. I wasn't surprised at all. We struggle just to get 11 guys on the field, many times its 10 or 12 guys. It WAS Hamilton, and it should have been a block and the Bills lose. But we got lucky, which is just as good as being well coached. -

I seriously doubt that Hawes is a better blocker than Anderson so, unless he’s going to get consistent targets in the passing game, it will be a downgrade when the Bills go big. They threw to him once last night and it was a big play. The running game was below last season’s averages. I don’t like that trade off. Now, it’s the Ravens and just one game, so we’ll see how this works moving forward but I’m not in favor of reducing the effectiveness of the running game for 1 or 2 targets a game.

Did Harbaugh Call Timeout Too Quickly?
Da webster guy replied to Last Guy on the Bench's topic in The Stadium Wall
All i know is you could tell McDermott was getting heavy instructions in his headset which made me feel better. He's proven over and over again that he needs assistance in these types of thinking man's situations and he got the proper direction from up above. All those years Sean providing assistance and guidance to players and we never gave the guy the help he needed to manage clock properly, challenge calls, and strategize in the heat of battle at the end of the 1st half and the 4th quarter. Somewhere up in the booth with all the OC's is an egghead with Tony Romo type clock/scenario processing in his head and chat gpt on this laptop laying out optimal time management plans on the fly. I guarantee it. Granted the special teams unit allowed a free rusher (Hamilton, possibly the best athlete on the field) but the ghosts of Rich Stadium still have some magic powers left and somehow he missed the block. Even ol McD and his special teams coach couldn't keep us from winning this one. -
Didn't see a general baseball thread so I'll put this here.. Morgan released a statement on Tuesday, saying Orlando will simply be used as a "bargaining chip" for a new Rays owner to secure a stadium deal in Tampa. "I am out. The fix is in," Morgan said in the statement. "I believe what will happen now is this group will seek a sweetheart deal in Tampa, while stringing the prospects of Orlando as a bargaining chip. They will get lots of free land and entitlements and make a real estate profit on the surrounding land at the tax payers' expense. Certainly not for the people, but for the rich people." Morgan was a lead investor in the group, alongside Heartland Dental founder Rick Workman, who credited Morgan and him earlier this year as "committed to delivering transformative benefits to Orange County and Central Florida with this initiative." https://baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2025/09/10/john-morgan-dropping-out-of-orlando-dreamers-group

I could stand to see more 3TE sets. It'd be pretty awesome if we could go as condensed as 3TE to spread 4x1 based on the opponent because it means whatever the defense is doing, you have something to try to counter with
