My buddies own several wing joints in NYC. Their story is amazing. But to get to the point: best (and in my opinion only truly authentic wings in NYC). Dan and John’s wings. At least three locations. I admit that I used to tighten up playing fairly high level club tennis. I played a guy who had won my level of the club championship two years in a row. I was up 4-1 in the first set and 5-2 in the second, and managed to lose both. (Yes, it still bothers me.) He had a mental gear I did not possess. I later learned he was the all-time leading single season points/game scorer for University of Florida basketball, then it made more sense. He was that shooter who couldn’t miss. The point is, I kept playing with guys at that level and things eventually slowed down. I’d like to think McD is still growing into this job, and he can continue to improve.
