I agree, they need to be more creative around assignments and choosing to follow some receivers as Cam and Taron are matchups that teams have been exploiting just that way. One would think it would be as easy as saying, you guys cover the slow guys - I know it is more involved than that. Also, if they are playing Bishop closer to the line and Hancock is playing more as the single high, he needs to be coached up to be decisive and roll coverage to the side with the hardest matchup to help out our corners. At this stage he seems to be on the verge of indecision peddling back and forth covering grass till finally coming over too late to really cap those routes.

I do too, but we actually lost 14-10 to drop to 7-5. It was the game where Mac Jones threw 3 passes because the wind was like 70 MPH in Orchard Park. We played them three weeks later and won 33-21 in Foxboro. The Bills never trailed, but it was tight all the way through, with the Bills up by 5 late into the 4th quarter. They ended up winning to move to 9-6. The order events is shaping up to be the same, but they actually won two straight against NE after the embarrassing loss at home.

I’m quoting this…… because I can. The draft is a crap shoot, and we only admit that when it suits us. Nobody gets them all right, you just hope to do better than most, more often than not. Every team has busts, even in the early rounds. I honestly think the football side with game tape and all that type of evaluation is almost an impossible way to judge players, if used in a vacuum. It’s obviously the HUGE part of it, but you have to know the person. What motivates them? That’s a big reason the draft is so difficult, and all teams have busts.
