Kincaid seems to be this year's TBD whipping boy. I remember last summer people complaining about Dion Dawkins being too fat (who oddly enough went on to have the best season of his career.) Now this summer it's Dalton Kincaid being too skinny. I put no stock into any of this especially 3+ months before the regular season. We see professional fighters make weight in much lesser time than this. There are millions of dollars at stake. These guys know what they're doing and if they don't then they have loads of resources to help them out. These rankings are obviously BS, but I'm not as down on DK as much of the posters here. I think part of the problem is him being lost in the shuffle. I wonder if there's even been an MVP QB without a 1000 yard receiver before? That stat alone should tell you how much the Bills love to spread the ball around. I think Kincaid would fare much better in an offense that makes him more of the focal point. Slight regression from his rookie year. The other problem is his inexperience and the difficulty of the position itself. There's a reason why elite TE's don't grow on trees. Not only do you have to be a great receiver, but also a great blocker or at least not a complete liability. 2 years is not all that long. Antonio Gates didn't break 1k until year 3, Tony G took 4, Kelce 4 years, etc. The best comparison to Kincaid is former Panther Greg Olsen who didn't really become a premier player until he turned 29, but did have very decent production leading up to it. I think this is what Beane is (realistically) aiming for. The best option to me is still Knox because of his blocking. I really wish Buffalo would go back and watch old Patriots film to learn how to correctly run a 2 TE passing game.

The bills defense plays worse in the playoffs. I would say there's flaws in the argument that they are SO much worse than everyone else - main one being quality of competition. Home/Road splits is another piece worth warranting. All I was saying was that defenses have better numbers against bad offenses, which the post i referred to stated. My conclusion was that every defense performs better against bad offenses.
