  1. Past hour
  2. Vance Boelter, the suspect in today's shootings, was the CEO of an international NGO called the Red Lion Group. But I couldn't find any photographs or digital records of its work, only a generic website. The Red Lion Group appears to have run out of funding a month or two ago, as that is when he started looking for executive-level roles.
  3. Could you clarify the teams here? Are the elderly crosswalkers 'The Establishment' or 'The Fascists?' And who are the Bolsheviks, the people in the Escalade? Maybe worry less about politics and more about your situational awareness. Unfortunately pedestrians and cyclists ALWAYS need to be extra careful because traffic tends not to see them. No matter what bumper sticker they have.
  4. Smells fishy? Perfect. Line him up next to the other lunatic wr in Miami.
  5. Here's Josh Allen's new backup. https://www.theufl.com/news/michigan-panthers-quarterback-bryce-perkins-named-2025-ufl-mvp
  6. I think that putting a specific price tag on this doesn’t work. It depends too much on each individual’s financial status, age, and level of greed. The real question should be, is there ANY amount of money you’d take for the Bills never win a Super Bowl? I love this team, but if your answer is no, you’re too insanely devoted imo.
  7. I disagree here. Cook was a 2nd rounder compared to those three and had a different profile as a smaller but more explosive back that could take it to the house if able to get to that second level. You can find a lot of those in the draft in the first few rounds every year. It's no guarantee that the drafted RB will give you close to or even over exceed what we had in Cook but when managing a roster that's how I'd approach the RB position. Shoot. I forgot that Beane was allowed to have 4th round picks at the time when they drafted Davis. My mistake. Would I hate it if Cook signed between $10 and $12m per year? Probably. I wouldn't kill Beane for it though.
  8. If he was appointed by 2 separate Democrat Governors...
  9. Assuming this is what it looks like, this is what happens when you engage in stochastic terrorism, labeling everyone and everything they don't like as Hitler, fascism, etc. (ya know, exactly what the left has been accusing the right of doing).
  10. Kinda unfortunate Libs were all on board with Luigi Mangione and his 'understandable' assassination of the United Health Care Exec last year. That was just as repugnant as this is.
  11. The downside of the strategy you describe is that the Bills got middling returns on Devin Singletary and Zack Moss and it's too early to say how Ray Davis will pan out. The James Cook pick appears to be a home run and if they let him walk, he'll more likely be replaced with another Singletary/Moss/Davis than another James Cook. The argument implied by many here is that the Bills can get 90% of Cook's productivity at a fraction of the cost... but that 10% productivity loss might be the difference between a true weapon and just another solid back.
  12. A couple thoughts here. First, tragic outcome for the family and our political system. I’ve been against the death penalty for a long time, but should this perpetrator end up shot dead in the street it would be ok with me. Second, most definitely time to NOT jump to conclusions. Could be a right wing scumbag looking to start something, could be a left wing scumbag like Mangione looking to appeal to people who support this sort of thing, and all sorts of misdirection is potentially in play. Third…the facts of the shooting are precisely the reason the dopey senators stunt from this past week was so foolish. These days, assuming anything about anyone is not very unwise.
  13. It’s not the parade by itself. It is in the context of Trump sending Guard troops into LA, against the States wishes, and masked unidentified men snatching people off the street. Regardless, I think we will survive this one and Trump will get his wet dream.
  14. I believe it’s been 3, though Davis was a 4th rounder. Personally I’d rather keep Cook and spend a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a position that gets paid more on their second contract. Especially since I think Cook has been the only really good RB we have hit on in those 3 or 4 picks so far.
  15. The guy is a great writer and storyteller. Pick a random topic (maybe anything other than sci-fi) and I’ll. Bet I can link a great song. Go.
