  1. Past hour
  2. I believe our offensive effectiveness depends on how defenses approach us. If they attempt to confuse Allen with zones and various formations, he is capable of figuring out their strategy. However, if they stack the box and blitz, it creates challenges for us.
  3. This season reminds me of the season a couple of years ago when Dorsey was fired mid-season. Bills started off strong and then the offense seemed to get figured out. Same thing with this season, but this time we don't have an assistant coach who could step in for Brady, plus I don't think McD will fire Brady during the season (or probably at all).
  4. I know where I wanted to put a shoe around 4pm.
  5. as I mentioned a couple times, I bought three tickets. Three tickets together were never under $100 at any site at any time.
  6. I said in a different thread I judge NFL teams by their highs not their lows The season is so long and there's so much attrition it really is a league of parity I judge you by how you look against the best not against the worst because Josh wakes up for big games Brady had some lulls mid season 2.. more often than not he was able to whip the team specifically the offense in two shape
  7. I don't think it's over yet either. But time is running out. In 2 of the last 5 seasons I've seen the Bills overcome worse situations then they are in now. So it would not surprise me to see them go on a run. But it also would not surprise me to see them fall flat on their face and struggle to have a winning record. And that is different then how I've felt at this point in any of the last 5 seasons.
  8. So was it the 4 of 6 for 20 yards in the 1st quarter that was "jaw dropping" or the 5 of 9 for 53 yards in the second? The interception or the fumble? He had a bad game, good grief. I am done
  9. It's real simple and it's something i've been saying for weeks: Every team in the league knows the Bills want to beat you on the ground. In large part because we have no one that can win on the Outside with any sort of consistency (Kincaid was the only one, but he's in and out of the lineup), even against single coverage. So teams key in on the Run game, crowd the line of scrimmage, and force us to try and beat them with our dumpster fire WR core. When we run into teams where our Offensive Line and Cook are able to overpower them even when they're planning for it and we're able to put points up early - we're good. Even against good teams like Kansas City. If we can't and especially if the team gets a lead on us - we are physically incapable of catching up and winning a game through the air. It doesn't matter if it's a bad team either like the Falcons or the Dolphins either. We're simply screwed if we need to rely on our pass catchers for anything.
  10. And this is what really worry's me. If the McD advantage is the culture he created then consistency and motivated effort should be hallmarks of a superior NFL culture. But increasingly we're seeing cracks in that. The Bills have managed to lose to 2 teams that have gone 4 - 13 versus teams not named the Bills by a combined score of 54 - 27! That is different then what we've seen before.
  11. There's definitely a growing feeling of skepticism whether this team is heading in the right direction... probably more than at any time since Josh has been our QB. The Super Bowl winner will come from the NFC, IMO. So the moral of the story is what? 😜 I agree that Josh shouldn't be above criticism and he absolutely missed several throws today as well as regressing to his impatient trying-to-do-too-much alter ego. But as others have said, Josh is far from the top of the list of reasons they lost and he shouldn't have to play flawlessly every week for the team to win. I think this is a fundamentally important point and one I've been thinking about a lot lately... teams play what they practice and clearly the Bills practice the run game. Clearly they don't practice the downfield passing game... at least not enough. I know Josh has struggled with downfield accuracy this year but it's stunning how much he and his receivers are just not on the same page. This team should devote an entire week of practice to nothing else but throwing the ball downfield. They're clearly not practiced enough in this area and it shows glaringly. They can run the ball fine and can afford not to practice run plays for one week. Please dear god, practice throwing the ball to the boundaries and down the field. Yes, if the offense can't bully teams with the run game, they have no effective answer. None. I thought about this quite a bit too. I was always skeptical that Miami or the Jets would ever pull the trigger on a trade with us. In fact if I were the Bills GM I wouldn't have spent much time trying to make it happen. In the wake of Chris Grier's firing, Miami has an interim GM Champ Kelly... who's an unknown quantity. He shouldn't be expected to adhere to any set of ethics or integrity that Beane might be expecting. There's zero relationship there. That path was fraught with pitfalls. If it's true that deals with the Dolphins and the Jets fell through, Beane has only himself to blame for putting himself in that position. His faith in their good faith was naive and he should have been very skeptical. This is a preposterous statement. In the true, overreacting, bipolar nature of this forum, half the people who were crying for that one final piece... the all-in move that would put us over the top are now saying this team needs a complete teardown. It's pathetic and inaccurate. By all appearance the Bills had a good 2025 draft. With another good offseason, this team has as good a chance as any to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Why would there be a tug of war that doesn't include Sean McDermott? It's clear that McDermott wasn't happy with Dorsey's offense but that might have had as much to do with the pass/run ratio as anything. While I'm sure McDermott is pleased with the run game, I wouldn't automatically assume he's a fan of Brady's entire offensive design and body of work. I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility that Brady is a short timer in Buffalo and I would not assume that his position is solid. Brady is the 4th OC McDermott's 9 years as Bills HC. Daboll left to become a Head Coach. Dennison was not retained and Dorsey was fired. There's not really a history of stability in that position.
  12. Their defense has definitely been great.. but it's been three point losses for us when we're more depleted than them I watched the Giants win the Super bowl as a 9 win team I don't think this season is over yet Literally it has to be next man up in the NFL
  13. In the years the Chiefs O struggled they had a very good defense, particularly in the playoffs. And the Chiefs WR room from last season was much better then the Bills current room. This may change when Palmer gets back and if Davis can contribute.
  14. It's a VERY mid year for the league. I'd still contend that talent-wise, and with Allen, we can beat anyone. Or lose to anyone. So much is how motivated they are. They treated that Chiefs game like a Super Bowl. They went all out, and played great, and got all of our hopes up. But the NFL is about showing up every week like that. They don't. They expected to show up today and to have Miami just hand the game to them. That's what really bothers me. They had no heart today at all. They seem as tired as I do as a fan.
  15. Is Lithium a banned substance?
  16. It's not whether or not Palmer and Davis can save the Bills WR room. It a question of whether or not they can elevate it from being hopelessly ineffective to being an average unit. If they do that we might actually notice a big improvement in the passing game. The only WR group worse then this one in the Josh Allen era was the 2018 WR room. If this seasons Bills receivers can just get to the level of the 2019 group it will seem explosively better in comparison to what we're currently seeing.
  17. They squeezed their pals for a few grand in return? I’d do it for nothing for my friends.
  18. In 2023 and 2024 the Chiefs scored like 22-21 points per game Their offense did struggle throughout the regular season... The bills have averaged 30 26 and 28 The Chiefs have struggled protecting Patrick mahomes and they do not have a bunch of crazy world-class weapons around him because salary cap the last two years Patrick mahomes average 22 points per game last year.. he had no running game not a great line and not great wide receiver play for the most part Again the difference was they had a healthy defense versus US last year and we didn't .. it's not like they're blowing us out we are right there and been severely depleted It's one thing to have an injury that happened 8 weeks ago and be able to regroup and rebuild.. we're getting injuries six days before we play the Chiefs in the playoffs And we lose by three The Chiefs don't have a great offensive line and they don't have a great running game.. and they have not been scoring more than the bills for the last 2 years the difference is they're healthy on defense in the playoffs when we play them
  19. First 4 games of the year: 4-0.....Offense score 30+ points in each game, and looks unstoppable....the Defense, though not great was doing enough to at least look competent. Next two games: 0-2......After scoring 30+ points in the first 4 games, the Offense scores a total of 34 points in these two games, with "curious" play-calling and mind-numbing turnovers.....the Defense looks like a hot mess, especially in the Falcons game, and big questions loom over the team going into the Bye Week. Next two games: 2-0......The Offense looks dominant in putting up 40 points vs the Panthers, then Josh looks like MVP Josh for the first time this season vs the Chiefs.....The Defense seemed to turn the corner in these two games forcing turnovers vs the Panthers and generating the most pressure a Bills team ever put on Mahomes vs the Chiefs. This game: Both the Offense and Defense revert back to the way they played in the two losses earlier in the season, showing the exact same problems and flaws that occurred in those games. So, which of these teams are the real Bills?? The dominant one we have seen in the six wins, or the hapless one we have seen in the three losses?? I leave you with one last question:
  20. Thank you for this. I'm not trying to bend over backwards to defend Beane. And maybe this comes across this way, but the reports were: 1.) We were the highest bidder. 2.) The Jets and Dolphins didn't want to help us. 3.) The high offer was a 1st in 2027, but that they wanted it to be in 2026. I know this will prob make people roll their eyes, but it wasn't ever said that the Dolphins made it clear to Beane that they *would* trade him to us if we offered them a 1st in 2026 instead and that Beane made the decision not to do that. It's altogether possible that we made the offer, were told to go F ourselves bc we were in the division, and that was that. That the wanting a 1st in 2026 was a separate point in general explaining no one met that and thus he was never moved. Especially since it flies in the face of the initial report of them not wanting to help us. If it was our decision to turn down a 1st in 2026 - then they *were* willing to help us.
  21. AFC top teams all play each other a bunch still so a lot can happen. If next week KC beats Denver then they get a good outcome either way in the Chargers/Jaguars game If Jags win KC and LA are tied and still play later in the season. If Chargers win KC would be ahead of Jaguars for wild card race. Lots of separation will happen over the next few weeks. I expect only 1 AFC North team to make it in (Ravens) 2 AFC West wildcards and 1 AFC East
  22. That big QB contract doesn't seem to inhibit the Chiefs & Eagles from reaching and winning Super Bowl games years after year. There is a limit to how much better Allen can make players around him. At some point there is nothing Allen can do. The Bills are being greedy with Allen and they're asking to much of him. Sure Allen has the type of personality that takes on that burden but it's up to Bean & McD to make sure there is a balance. That we have been so close to the Chiefs in the playoffs is entirely due to Allen's elite QB play in those games.
