Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things, and why we need it
Richard Noggin replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree across the board. Just can't suffer McD's methodical smothering of the roster's and fanbase's joy any longer. Gotta unleash the beast (Allen) early and often each game to get him engaged WHILE ALSO being able to transition as games play out to a more physical, ball control approach. -

Listen I would like some more aggressiveness in the offense absolutely Give me a little bit of tempo too... But there might be a game in January where cook needs to run 21 times to win ... And Josh might only have 27 throws You're going to have to be able to do it every single way.. if you don't do it on the regular season you're not going to do it in the postseason... Can you win holding a team under 21? Can you win running without throwing good? Can you win throwing without running good? Can you have a game-winning drive? All of these things are something a Super bowl champion will have to answer.. and actually the bills have checked it off But I get what you're saying I do want the ball in Josh's hands more and I do want them to make him more comfortable with better offensive weapons -

Tom Brady was a very different QB than Josh Allen. Allen is a flesh and blood, authentic human being capable of transcendent performances at the highest levels, and with that one will have to endure some missteps and hiccups and frankly bad reps. Tom Brady, on the other hand, is a pod person or android designed for self-improvement, relentless competitiveness, and repeated fundamental execution. Complementary football made so much sense with Brady, especially early in his career when he wasn't great yet. Allen would be better maximized through a more Daboll-like, attacking approach to offensive football. Can sprinkle in the methodical, physical dominance as the game wears on and hopefully a lead is established. Edit: if we Bills faithful die without ever seeing a TRULY Allen-centric organizational emphasis, it will be a great injustice. Isn't that why a defensive head coach would make sense? McD should be able to cobble together an opportunistic and aggressive enough defensive roster of hungry young dudes and assignment-sound old dudes to sufficiently complement an Allen-led offensive WAGON on the other side. -

I'm not sure it's Brady's unimaginative game plan, and not the WR skills. -
Because they couldnt score in those games, thats how. Held the Rams to 14 points Held the Bucs to 20 points (that was when the Bucs had receivers still) Held the Jags to 17 points Held the Broncos to 18 points The one that got away from the was the Seahawks 27 points Sorry but if I told you the Bills held the other team anywhere from 14-20 points, you'd probably expect we won the game right? That also doesn't include some games they did win like holding the Ravens to 10, SF to 15, Titans to 13 and 0.

Week 12, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!
Jim replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen has never played well in Houston, losing there three (?) times. I think the Bills lost there in 2018, 2020 (playoff game) and 2024. Also I read on here or Twitter or somewhere that the Bills haven't won there since 2006. All's I'm hoping for is a win in 2025. However, this place is house of horrors for the Bills and this year will be no different. Too many turnovers, Josh never getting comfortable, and Jimbo not quite getting the run game going. Add in Woody Marks getting his first 100 game against the Bills poor run defense and it's gonna be another frustrating loss for us. Texans 25 Bills 14 -

? Shavers ran a 4.59 at his pro day at San Diego State. He's not fast, though I suppose it's not a terrible time for a bigger-bodied guy (6'4", 211 lbs). Keon's a bit quicker but neither of these guys runs like a deer... Shavers Keon 40 yards 4.59 4.61 10 yards 1.63 1.54 -

Tom Brady won six Super bowls with complimentary football I wouldn't say it's a terrible strategy... Sean McDermott does not sign free agents or draft players... He literally gets the groceries and tries to cook them He does not bring in the ingredients... We've literally lost by a field goal back-to-back years to the Chiefs who went to the sb They're not that far off... No matter what anybody says... We also got them way more banged up in the playoffs We went in the arrowhead more banged up and lost by three... We are absolutely able to beat them Even if I want better wide receivers on the team.. this is a salary cap League.. I would not sacrifice our offensive line for flashy wide receivers andgive Allen the burrow treatment It means nothing to have those flashy toys when you're on your back and getting hurt all the time.. the best ability is availability.. and keeping our offensive line intact is more important than anything The Patriots won a couple Super bowls on field goals and another one on a goal line pick 6.. it's absolutely smart to care about all three phases ... Brady won Super bowl scoring 13, 24 ,and 20 Sometimes you need to win 24-20... Sometimes you need to win 38-35 Super bowl teams need to be able to win any style of game... The bills have shown they could win running.. they showed they could win throwing yesterday It's a long season and people get caught up in the ebbs and flows... Dalton Kincaid would be one of the most talented tight ends in the league if he stayed healthy -
I know this is hard, but try to stay with me: 1) OP poster says "There hasn't been one player that they drafted that is no longer on this team that is remotely any good, outside of Edmunds," (exact quote) 2) This contention could be disproved by listing one player other than Edmunds who is remotely any good 3) I listed 11 players who should be considered at least "any good" because they have continued to play in the NFL for years after the Bills released or traded them, despite the yearly influx of cheaper rookies. Some have started for years. 4) Therefore OP poster's contention is disproved. QED. It must be highly disconcerting to lose your ass by laughing. Perhaps you should hold onto it with both hands; only think how inconvenient to lose it! Without an ass, from what orifice would your poo emerge? It could be detrimental to your social life or enjoyment of meals. Punters are players. Every team has one because they fill a critical role. ST can turn a game and we all howl when it does. However, if you wish to exclude the punter and the primarily ST guys (even the one who led the league in punt return yardage) it still leaves sufficient players to disprove OP poster's contention (since one would suffice) We do understand that players who "bounce around the league" (get picked up by different teams) are in fact "any good", because otherwise the teams who sign them would take younger and cheaper guys hot out of college and undrafted. We understand that, right? I'd say I eagerly await the contortions you'll undergo to avoid acknowledging a point, but Truth: I'd be lying.

Freaking ty. The other teams actually want us to play small ball. It only benefits them, not us. McD runs a bend but dont break defense. Always has and probably always will. Now I am not going to say that the defense is good... but in the past it has been excellent (accept against the Chiefs in the playoffs) it worked so well because it caused other teams to play small ball. The more attempts they had on a drive the more chance they had at making a mistake. Our D thrived off turnovers. It wasnt good between the 20s but it was good at getting turnovers. This is what people want us to do to ourselves. Run these long 12-15 play 7-10 min drives. A single mistake happens and the drive is over unless Josh pulls off some miraculous play. At the same time we are limiting our own opportunities with the ball because we are shortening the clock against ourselves. You cannot play like this all the time. People expecting a QB to be perfect all game every game. Its just not going to happen.

True story... I had a dream last night that the Bills hired a brilliant passing game coordinator to help Brady out in 2026 and the Bills started setting scoring records. I so badly want this dream to come true.

Week 12, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!
HappyDays replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 30 Texans 13 An underrated quality of Allen is he does well in revenge games. Played like crap against New England in 2019, beat them twice in 2020 including one blowout win. Wasn't ready for the big lights in the 2020 AFCCG, the next year was the 13 seconds game. Lost to Jacksonville in London in 2023, destroyed them in 2024. Allen remembers how he played in Houston last year and I expect him to have a little extra motivation as a result. Houston's defense is still insanely good and TNF games are weird to begin with so I'm not expecting a fireworks show from start to finish but he'll make some plays. The Texans offense is exactly the type of offense McDermott tends to do well against. Backup QB, no run game, one WR to worry about. I expect this to be one of those games where Houston has a good drive early and we all start feeling frustrated, and then for the final 50 minutes or so their offense looks totally hapless and we end up with like 3 turnovers. So I'm predicting a slow constricting victory where Allen keeps making enough plays to put us on the scoreboard while Houston's offense slowly falls apart. -

The Republicans don’t care about health care for Americans. If they did, they would offer a better alternative. Their plan is get your own insurance at market price. If you can’t afford it, it’s your problem and it sucks to be you. -

Sorry I understand it's obviously hyperbole. It's probably disrespectful to Stallworth honestly. I just think there's something special with Shavers. Probably not the best way to say it lol I'm really excited about him tho. Looking back it's probably honestly a silly post by me. Overreacting to the passing game looking awesome 😎 -

hondo in seattle replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Texans have a good defense. Nobody's scored 30 on them yet this year and most teams don't even reach 20. They only give up 258.1 yards per game. I see a grind, but one the Bills eventually win. Bills 26 Texans 23 -
This D can't stop a nosebleed. You recognize they have an elite defense but want to run a conservative offense against that. IOW you want to give that elite defense more and more opportunity to stop our offense by adding unnecessary extra plays in the drives. I just dont get this mindset. What do crap teams do when they are playing against an elite QB? They try to have long time consuming drives to limit the other QBs opportunity, right? So why do people want to actually do that to our own offense? All we do is limit our own offenses opportunity with the ball. We shorten the game and therefor the amount of possessions against ourselves. Then when a mistake happens it completely kills the game and we wonder why.
