Mexican Navy ship crashes into Brooklyn Bridge
ScotSHO replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Why did tRump defund the United Bridge Raisers Union!!! Or something. Worst admin ever since last year. -
As is well documented, I was not a fan of the pick on draft night. I spoke all throughout draft season on the importance of receivers who can separate. I spoke after the draft about my disappointment in Beane not double-dipping at WR as in insurance policy in case his top guy didn't work out (the way he does with corners). So far, to absolutely no one's surprise, Coleman looks in the pros like he looked in college, while Ladd McConkey and Xavier Worthy look like potential stars. Beane seemed to reach back to his old Carolina Panthers days with this receiver archetype. I wish he hadn't. ALL OF THAT HAVING BEEN SAID.... Keon showed some promise at times in his rookie season. Prior to his injury, had a few good games in a row. He was big-boying talented corners on end zone fades and getting some impressive YAC. We'll never know how the rest of his rookie season would've played out if not for that injury, but he was at least showing that he could be a capable NFL receiver. If we get the pre-injury Coleman, and one who focuses and works hard and takes his job seriously, I have faith he'll be a contributor for the Bills on offense. If we get the post-injury Coleman, and/or if he doesn't focus and work hard and take his job seriously, he may be a one-contract player for the Bills.

Does the placement of the bye week really matter?
Shortchaz replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s probably analogous to receiving or kicking off to start a game. It’s probably more important to have it be most beneficial regardless of where it falls. -
let’s say he invested 10k in 2017. At the height he’d be at about 180k. Right now he’s in the 165k range give or take.

I can't argue with that. Honestly when Mooney was available a season ago he was one of the guys I would have loved to see us sign. With the focus on running the ball and the amount of shell coverage we face I suspect the team just doesn't focus on trying to run guys past the defense because it's probably rarely going to happen.

preseason Bills @ Tampa info/questions
PromoTheRobot replied to Einstein's Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Starters will play a small amount. Josh maybe gets one drive. The rest a quarter. -
I don't think we need a $30 million, 150 target X WR. I want a John Brown like X WR whos speed and route running scares defenses. Most every team has a defense altering X WR

preseason Bills @ Tampa info/questions

Tampa's fanbase is much worse so tickets should be even cheaper. I'm definitely holding out. Becomes a question of whether starters will play at all or not. Used to be last preseason none played, but now with just 3 games the routine may be different. It is two weeks before the season. -
Purdy and 49’ers extension. 5 years 265 million
Mister Defense replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Okay, but the first 'point' is just a literal statement--albeit with some loaded language--and so your point is completely missing. As it is just stating that he played poorly but still won. (Can be said about most/all good/great/HOF quarterbacks, and likely several times, in each career. So what is your point?) Secondly, obviously true, overall that the Lions were in the driver's seat last year because they had a better team than their opponents. BUT, having an excellent quarterback, as the other three teams mention also do, is a seminal, even vital part of that team. Would you agree with that statement, and that having those 4 quarterbacks were essential parts of that team concept for each and for their success? Goff's stats the last three years: 2022: 65% CP, 4438 yards, 7.6 YPA, and 29 TDS and & 7 INTs 2023: 67%, 4575 yards, 7.6, YPA, and 30 TDs and 12 INTs 2024: 72%, 4,629 yards, 8,6 YPA, and 37 TDs and 12 INTs Those are superb stats, wouldn't you agree? And would you agree quarterback play like that, excellent across the board the last 3 seasons, was an essential part of that team idea you speak of? And that without superb quarterback play like Goff has demonstrated, it is likely the Lions did not do nearly as well as they did? Again, kind of difficult to actually understand your main points, so you may agree with what I say above-?? I don't know -

But you're isolating one incident where Goff played crap and his team won in spite of him. What about his offence needing 34 points against GB to win by 3? Or 40 points against SF to win a one score game? Or losing with 42 points against the Bills? -
It's done sliding? Someone just dumped $600 million yesterday. Plenty of time for it to drop still.

Is there a team in all of sports that has endured the heartbreak of a Bills fan? Jets and Browns fans have it bad. But Bills lose in spectacular fashion- kickoff returns, hailmarys, laterals, missed FG, ref screw jobs, braindead coaching decisions, Plummer hitting Darrick Holmes and returning it 99 yards for a TD, McKelvins 200 yard return, making every Saint defender miss at least once, and getting tackled at the one as time expired, yada, yada. Y'all know the heartbreak, I don't need to explainit to Bills Mafia
