Seriously, is there any coaching even being done on defense?? Its a ***** show. Maybe the players hate McDermott and have quit on him.
-
Everyone Eats when everyone comes to the table hungry. Everyone Eats fails when everyone already had snacks prior and only 1 or 2 are somewhat hungry. The food gets left at the buffet and Allen has to try and throw go-home bags of leftovers at the uninterested crowd. The perfect scenario would be a WR1 who has a similar persona as Allen, in that he puts team success over his own personal accolades. He may not put up 100 yard games with 15 targets weekly but will certainly be there when needed. Allen plays better when he can throw to anyone but still needs someone who can at least give him an outside option anytime he needs one. Shakir can be his Beasley but he needs a new less ego filled Diggs.

You dont You dont pay a 22 catch TE--the last 2 years, Knox money. People want to say hes a good blocker, fine pay him blocker TE money. Groot is turning into a guy with not elite speed or power, and though he did have a FG block, he also erased a huge turnover and is MIA in the rush way too often. The DL is really only Bosa, Walker and Ed. -

Samuel is ALWAYS injured. So is Bernard. So is Milano. So is Daquan Jones.. So is Taron Johnson. Kincaid has his best game as a Bill. And now he was out tonite. We are on our 3rd punter. Our second kicker (one good thing so far from this season.) Now Palmer is injured. Why was Benford out for parts of tonite's game? Bishop has missed most of the last two training camps. Hairston has been out since training camp. This team is always injured and has been a revolving door of mediocre to marginal players. Amari Cooper came in and broke his wrist. Oliver plays well against the Ravens and hurts his ankle. We don't have good starters at a lot of positions, especially on defense. Let alone have good back ups. We need guys who are tough solid bigger guys who can take some punishment. -
Like where you’re going but I can’t see the Saints trading both of those guys this year. Maybe one before trade deadline and the other after the season. Olave for a 2nd and ship Keon the other way? Olave would be working the same things Keon should/is. There’s a couple other guys I have interest in and are currently Free Agents. They would be for the Safety position: Jordan Whitehead and Marcus Williams. One is still young and played reasonably well for a SB winner. The other a seasoned vet who’s been decent when he’s been available to play. If CB is going to be a serious issue, what about Asante Samuel Jr.? What about LB? Isaiah Simmons had a quality season a few years ago and he some great measureables. Is he seriously that bad or not coachable that no one is willing to give him a shot? WR’s there isn’t much out there who could be signed. KJ Osborn? Michael Gallup? Just spit balling but it is evident we need to do something to shore up depth with all these injuries.
-
They look fat and happy, not humble and hungry. Like they accomplished what they could and got paid and are content - meanwhile they’re the hunted and are getting everyone’s best effort. The guys were hoping to get back aren’t exactly Cee Dee Lamb or Jalen Carter. This D won’t be getting better this year. The offense can. But it has to luck into a WR trade. And just like last year, we’re going to need to score 30 plus a game. DJ Moore is probably no longer available as the Bears are in the race. Shaheed? Olave? Both.

The OP was right though about Allen; he looks like a guy trying to press for results. Dahlin seems to have the same internal issue that causes mistakes to be made. A desire to win so great that you lose composure and/or effectiveness and start making mistakes due to it. For instance, I think part of his reason for bailing from the pocket lately is less due to the the OL struggling at times but more Allen trying to generate a combination of time and a change of angle. If his players can't get open he's desperate to brute force them open because they rarely strategize guys open. Without Palmer and Kinkaid, suddenly Shakir becomes the only serious threat to beat man coverage. The play prior to the game ending interception was a masterful run commanding Shakir from the front like a General. My guess is his throw was meant to either be a high ball for Coleman or he was tossing it through the endzone to avoid any chance of intentional grounding. Problem was a guy got their hand on it and made for an easy pick. Completely bewildered by Coleman's regression of late; he played great against Baltimore and even made some great catches against NYJ and Miami. But these past two or three games have been horrid. -

It’s disgusting to think we could have Worthy instead of Coleman. This is not a Super Bowl team. -

Could not agree more. -
What makes Babich’s struggles even worse is that he was a great coach before he got the job. We got worse at DC and in positional coaching in the back 7 in one move.

I see you’re a roster is half full kind of guy. I like it

After enduring another difficult game to watch, the bye week is upon us. I wanted to highlight some players who may be available via trade this year. Trading for these players may not be the best for the teams long term outlook but may give us a 2023-style spark. If we are to bring in some new players this year, this bye week would be the best opportunity to get them up to speed: Jeffrey Simmons, DT, Titans Simmons has been on a tear so far this season with 4.5 sacks on a terrible Titans team that just fired their head coach. Overall, his contract is pretty manageable (would take some maneuvering this year), but he may look for a renegotiated contract after this year. We have several players in the pipeline at DT, but Simmons is a true difference maker. As such he would be an expensive and unlikely addition Chris Olave This may be about as good a time to inquire about Olave as there will be. A costly drop last week vs the Pats and many New Orleans fans were expressing the opinion it is time to move on. From 2022-2024, he is one of 28 players to have over 300 targets. His 5% drop rate is tied with Stef Diggs as 23rd worst of those 28. His 63.5% Catch Rate is 19th and success rate is 14th. He has had great yards per route run and first downs per route run advanced metrics throughout his career, showing someone who is a good and consistent separator. He has a very manageable contract that would not require much to fit and is signed through 2026. Many teams need WR help, so to land him may require a first round pick. Rashid Shahid Shahid has immediate value as a returner as he is averaging 14 yards per punt return and would immediately bump Coddrington off the team. He also is a dangerous deep threat who plays on the outside over 60% of the time. He wouldn’t add much more than that deep element, but that is certainly something our offense needs. He is likely to receive a nice sized contract as a FA if he leaves in the offseason. So whatever you give up you would recoup a comp pick the following year. Devin Bush A former Steelers bust, Bush has rejuvenated his career in Cleveland. He has especially shown to be an effective tackler and has graded out well in run defense. The Browns appear to be settling in for another rebuild and seem willing to move off players that are playing well but are not in their long term plans. Stephon Gilmore / Kendall Fuller Though trades are the splashiest way to add to your team at this point. There are still some free agents available that cost only cap space. Stephon Gilmore does not have a special place in Bills fans hearts, but even at his age he is still a good corner. Not sure he would be willing to take on a small contract to play this year though. Last year he signed for $7 million. Kendall Fuller has had a lot of success throughout his career while playing both the perimeter and slot. Justin Simmons Damar Hamlin is out for the year and Rapp and Bishop are not making a difference this year. Simmons signed for $8 million last year potentially making him too expensive. —- If I was Beane and felt pressure to win this year or else. I would trade my 2026 first and third for Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed and sign Justin Simmons and Kendall Fuller to one year contracts with some void years to make it work with the cap. Then hope a D-coordinator change, the PED guys and a healthy Max Hairston can fortify the defense enough to stop a nosebleed.

I was at the game tonite. Watching Keon try and run boundary routes is just painful. Even Shavers is better. And he still isn't anything close to being good. Not sure why Keon runs nothing breaking towards the post or the middle of the field. He has no idea how to adjust his body, his feet and get his hands up to have any chance of catching anything on the sideline with a DB anywhere near him. Why are we running that nonsense with him? And what did we see in drafting him as a high 2nd round pick. He has no better skills than Shavers, (less speed) and Shavers was an undrafted free agent. Beane McDermott and our assistant coaches are running this franchise into the ground. And why does Bishop look so lost? Didn't he play at Utah, a really solid college program with a real good coach? He comes to the Bills and looks awful. Get Hancock on the field ASAP. The kid started on Ohio State's Nat championship team. My god, look at the WR's he went up against every day in practice. They are all 1st round picks. Its not that hard. Get guys on the field who can run hit and tackle people. That's what football is on defense. Why draft a guy from a program like that if he isn't going to play? (instead we go with Rapp, Poyer, Bishop and Cam Lewis. And if Hamlin wasn't hurt, he would be ahead of Hancock also.) Are we purposely trying to embarrass ourselves? Has Bishop made a big hit coming up on a play once since entering the league? My goodness, what is the team looking at when it scouts players? Landon Jackson had no idea what he was doing when he was playing late in the game. And we took him in the 3rd round. Why? Most of our draft picks suck. And at least half the defense is always injured. And we have nothing at WR. Something has gone very wrong.

I mean. We could’ve signed Metcalf. Beane felt like that was unnecessary. -
I said we are missing half of our Top 4 CBs. I don't know why you keep wanting to argue about who should be starting at DT or CB or insisting that a healthy Samuel wouldn't be in the Top 4. 🤷♂️
-
This is actually insane. Everybody with a pulse knows Bijan and London are the Falcons only 2 real weapons and they combined for 396 yards from scrimmage. 396 YARDS FROM 2 PLAYERS!!! Every other skill player on the falcons combined for 64 yards.

One thing I dont think can be argued is were not getting getting 19 million of production from Samuel and Palmer. Thats a lot of buck and not much bang. Dont worry Brandon thinks were solid. -
We did hold them to 3 pts in the 2nd half and if Shaq picks that ball it probably would've been 0. Babich is likely gone and Sean will call the defense the rest of the season.
-
Interesting. At this point you have to move on from Babbich? Right.
-
All I’m saying is that we don’t know if Hairston or Strong would have been good enough to start.

On Josh's flip to Ty Johnson, anyone else feel Johnson should of stayed closer to the 1st Down line? I didn't like the depth he took on that play; a 1st is vital and he's at least 5 yards further then he needs to be. I can understand the flip pass, it would of been a far harder throw on the run to not miss him wide left due to his forward momentum.
