Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....
eball replied to Kelly to Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will say that Shavers made a tremendous “hands catch” on the Tuddy. That was impressive; I love to see receivers $natch the ball with their hands rather than have it come into their chests. (hehe…I said $natch) I’d hold off on the Stallworth comparisons for now. -
The only reason I would still give the Bills a chance, is because the other teams look just as flawed if not more. After losing yesterday, there is suddenly a slim possibility the Chiefs miss the playoffs altogether. I still don't believe in the AFC South teams, so I could see the Colts losing to them next week and then the Jags falling apart down the stretch. But there is a chance. The Ravens don't look right, even with Lamar Jackson back. My guess is they still win the division (especially with Aaron Rodgers hurt for Pittsburgh). But we might have finally hit the wall with Derrick Henry, and they are not historically strong in the playoffs anyway. Denver's defense is great, but I'm not completely sold on Bo Nix yet. The Colts have a great O-Line and run game, but I'm still skeptical about Daniel Jones falling back to Earth. The Patriots are hard to trust without playing the top teams. The Chargers are always inconsistent. Even in the NFC, the Eagles look like the best team. Their pass rush can be fearsome, but the offense is stuck in the mud. The Lions aren't quite as explosive this year either.

11/16/25 GAMEDAY Bills vs Buccaneers Post Game Thread
Nihilarian replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have to think that some Bills players are not playing up to the performance we are used to watching and that perhaps like Taylor Rapp they are somewhat injured and want to be out there despite the injury. In some cases perhaps they are slowing down from what they used to be like #21 Jordan Poyer. I'm just glad they are out there doing their best like Poyer, 15 tackles! -
I think his ceiling is a Pro Bowler and a good starter. Considering how bad our safety play has been since Poyer/Hyde part I, that would be a huge improvement to the defense.
-
I heard McD and Beane were close to actually cutting Bishop, after a really harsh post here on TBD. Good thing they held the course.
-
That's his floor, actually.

He has the potential to be the greatest of all time. We will build a statue for him.

Hey those diggs jerseys can be converted to Shavers jerseys! -
As Bishop gains confidence and experience he will be a huge asset for our defense. Could become a game changer. People here seem to have short memories. Hyde, outside of George Saimes and possibly Tony Green, may have been our best safety. Made a ton of amazing plays, including the interception against the Patriots in the playoff game where he came all the way across the field and picked it off, and always in position, and great against the run. Also very good and reliable on special teams.

I hope we don't play a conservative game plan. I don't think our defense is stopping anybody, so we really need to just stack points.

He has been. I’d say it’s a lack of effort. -
A Few Thoughts about the Bucs Game - Community Edition
Steve O replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought there was finally going to be a game where McD's use of timeouts didn't have me screaming and pulling what little hair I have left out. Then he goes and uses one before the last play when the Bucs were clearly in loser formation. WTF. -
Wore my lucky shirt. They usually win. "Please do not disturb I'm already disturb enough" saying 😂 . I'm sorry wear my Bills shirts in loses 😢. Wish I can wear them Also never say go Bills on Facebook. They won. Going to wear that shirt and never ever on Facebook saying go Bills. Doing my part 😎. Go Bills Thursday.

John Stallworth from Hamburg. Works at the gas station. Nice guy. -
To me, “trying” is the lowest bar to clear. Its their job to try. And as much as they have tried, I still see a fundamentally flawed team that will require their QB to go supernova to win a Super Bowl. Zero. i would have tried to build a team that doesn’t require multiple A+++ games from their QB to get to or win the Super Bowl. A team that when you are in a do or die spot, the QB doesn’t need to perfectly call his alignment, perfectly get through 3 or 4 reads, and then scramble drill to get you where you need to go. But maybe that’s the mountain we will climb.

I don’t know, I haven’t been in his house.

Unlikely. Chase will probably be suspended for spitting on Ramsay.
